Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Fahrzeug mit einem Schlüssel und mit abrufbaren Diagnosedaten von Ausrüstungsteilen. Derartige Fahrzeuge sind allgemein gebräuchlich. Beim Schlüssel handelt es sich um einen mechanischen und/oder elektrischen Schlüssel. Mit Hilfe des Schlüssels ist es möglich, das Fahrzeug zu ent- und verriegeln und/oder das Antriebsaggregat in Betrieb zu nehmen. Es kann sich auch um einen Fernbedienungsschlüssel handeln, der eine drahtlose Codierung zu einem im Fahrzeug angeordneten Empfänger überträgt. Die Diagnose-Daten werden in der Regel in den Ausrüstungsteilen selbst erzeugt und in einem Fehlerspeicher vorgehalten. Sie dienen dazu, Fehler des bzw. der Ausrüstungsteile(s), die während des Betriebs auftreten, zu erkennen und liefern einen Hinweise auf die Ursache, beispielsweise eine schadhafte Zündkerze einer Brennkraftmaschine. Durch zusätzliche Mittel, beispielsweise einen im Beisein des Schlüsselinhabers betätigbaren Schalter kann die Initiierung des Dialogs zum Fahrzeug für den Fahrzeugbenutzer sichtbar gemacht werden. Die Abfrage der Diagnose-Daten erfolgt nur mit Zustimmung des Schlüsselinhaber. Diese Zustimmung wird durch ihn beispielsweise dadurch "erklärt", daß er den Schlüssel in die Leseeinrichtung einlegt. dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schlüssel eine fahrzeugindividuelle elektrische Kennung des Fahrzeugs enthält, daß die Kennung des Schlüssels in einer Leseeinrichtung auslesbar ist, daß die Kennung dann drahtlos an das Fahrzeug übermittelbar ist und daß das Fahrzeug bei Empfang der richtigen Kennung die Diagnosedaten drahtlos zur Leseeinrichtung überträgt.
