- Safety switching device for monitoring a protective cover (4) able to tilt about an axis of movement between an open and a closed position, with electric switchgear (1) able to be actuated by the movement of the protective cover, which switchgear is located with its actuating device (5, 21) axially aligned with the axis of movement of the protective cover (4), the protective cover (4) being connected by way of a connecting member (7) to the switchgear (1), characterised in that the connecting member (7) is arranged to move flexibly in at least two planes, is connected to the protective cover (4) by way of a fastening member (15) and the switchgear (1) is stationary and the fastening member (15) is fastened to the protective cover (4) essentially independently of the axis of movement.

- Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the actuating device (5, 21) comprises a further actuating shaft (5) able to be connected detachably to the connecting member (7).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the actuating device (5, 21) comprises at least one actuating cam (21) for an associated switch (20).
- Device according to Claim 4, characterised in that at least two actuating cams (21) are arranged axially one above the other and are associated with correspondingly located switches (20).
- Device according to Claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the actuating device (5, 21) comprises two actuating cams (21) on the one hand for a switch (20) responding to the closed position of the protective cover (4) and on the other hand a switch (20) responding to the open position of the protective cover (4).
- Device according to one of Claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the actuating cams (21) are constructed in the form of cylinders or discs.
- Device according to one of Claims 4 to 7, characterised in that the actuating cams (21) for one switch (20) comprise a locating notch (26) and for the other a cam projection (25).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the connecting member (7) is a shaft joint, in particular a double shaft or Cardan joint.
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the fastening member (15) comprises a spindle (12), which is connected to the connecting member (7) in a longitudinally adjustable manner.
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the fastening member (15) comprises bores (18) for receiving retaining members (19) for screws (14) serving for attaching the fastening member (15).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the fastening member (15) comprises two folding jaws (32, 33), connected to each other in the manner of a hinge.
- Device according to Claim 12, characterised in that the hinge connection of the two jaws (32, 33) comprises a joint pin (12), which is connected to the connecting member (7).
- Device according to Claim 12 or 13, characterised in that the jaws (32, 33) can be screwed to each other so that screws (14) for locating the fastening member (15) on the protective cover (4) are covered.
- Device according to one of Claims 12 to 14, characterised in that the fastening member (15) comprises a holding device (39), in particular in the form of a set screw received by one jaw (33) and supported on the other jaw (32), for the two jaws (32, 33).
