Abstract

The sleeper boot consists of an elastically deformable shell (1) to receive the sleeper (T). The shell is sloping inwards at the bottom and contains a sole (2) on which the sleeper rests. The lower part of the shell has recesses (10) in its inner wall which ensure a flexibility on compression even after the wall has been deformed as a result of hydrostatic pressure from the concrete bed (B). The boot's inner recesses are made in the wall to a height corresponding to the thickness of the sole plus the height (t) of a chamfered lower edge on the sleeper. At their lower ends, the recesses extend beneath the edge of the sole. In between the recesses the inner wall of the boot is made with a series of reinforcing ribs.

Description

The present invention relates to a liner for a railroad cross member without ballast. Such routes are used in particular in tunnels.

In general, and known per se, this liner which is intended to be immobilized in a concrete bed comprises, on the one hand, an elastically deformable envelope receiving the crosspiece whose lower periphery is chamfered and, on the other hand, a sole resting under the cross member in the bottom of said envelope. The liner gives the track some elasticity in vertical and horizontal directions.

This sole is made with an elastic material usually made of cellular rubber.

However, this type of material can have a geometry which changes over time depending on the storage conditions.

In particular, when the favorable storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) are not respected, the sole undergoes significant shrinking.

This narrowing releases a peripheral volume which remains unoccupied between the cross-member and the lateral edges of the sole inside the envelope.

However, when making the concrete bed to immobilize the liner carrying the cross member, the hydrostatic pressure of the still liquid concrete is sufficient to deform the wall of the envelope which then fills the void existing inside the envelope between its inner wall and the sole.

In this situation, the lower periphery of the crosspiece rests on the deformed wall of the envelope and no longer on the sole.

This results in a "hard point", that is to say a rigid zone forming a stop and blocking the vertical movement of the cross-member.

As a result, the vibratory behavior of the track is disturbed, which can lead to deterioration of the envelope and the cross-member.

The present invention aims to solve these technical problems satisfactorily.

This object is achieved, in accordance with the invention, by means of a boot for a railroad cross member without ballast intended to be immobilized in a concrete bed comprising, on the one hand, a elastically deformable envelope receiving said crosspiece, the lower periphery of which is chamfered and, on the other hand, a sole resting under the crosspiece in the bottom of said envelope characterized in that the lower part of said envelope comprises, on its internal wall, recesses guaranteeing it a flexibility in compression even after deformation of said wall under the effect of the hydrostatic pressure of the concrete bed.

According to an advantageous characteristic, said recesses are made on a height of the internal wall corresponding to the thickness of the sole increased by the height of the chamfer of the crosspiece.

According to another characteristic, said recesses are made both on the side wall and on the bottom, extending under the edge of said sole.

According to yet another characteristic, the internal wall comprises, between the recesses, stiffening elements formed by thickenings or bosses ensuring the reinforcement of said wall.

Preferably, said stiffening elements are produced in the lower corner of said envelope over a height corresponding to that of the sole.

According to a first embodiment, said recesses are formed of grooves.

According to another embodiment, said recesses are formed of cells.

The liner of the invention makes it possible to ensure correct static and dynamic operation of the track without ballast even in the presence of a modified geometry of the sole.

In the event of deformation of the envelope during the pouring of the concrete bed, the cross-member then continues to be resiliently supported without any "hard point" appearing.

The recesses made on the internal wall of the envelope therefore make it possible to guarantee, in all circumstances, a flexibility in compression when the cross member is pressed.

L'invention sera mieux comprise à la lecture de la description qui va suivre accompagnée des dessins sur lesquels :The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, accompanied by the drawings in which:

Figure 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a traditional liner in the deformed state, with its crosspiece.

La figure 2 représente une vue en coupe transversale d'un premier mode de réalisation du chausson de l'invention à l'état libre, sans traverse.2 shows a cross-sectional view of a first embodiment of the boot of the invention in the free state, without crosspiece.

Figure 3 shows a cross-sectional view of the liner of Figure 2 deformed and immobilized in the concrete bed, with its cross.

Figure 4 shows a cross-sectional view of an alternative embodiment of the boot of the invention.

Ce chausson C est immobilisé dans un lit de béton B.The liner shown in Figure 1 is a traditional liner C for cross T track without ballast. This slipper C is immobilized in a concrete bed B.

The boot C comprises, on the one hand, an elastically deformable casing 1 receiving the cross member T and on the other hand a sole 2 resting under the cross member T in the bottom 12 of the casing 1. The lower periphery of the cross member T is provided with a chamfer t. The internal side wall of the casing 1 is provided with peripheral grooves 11 making it possible to provide both longitudinal and transverse elasticity to the cross-member T and freedom of vertical movement of the cross-member when passing rolling loads on the track.

However, the sole 2 can undergo narrowing due to poor storage conditions and no longer completely fill the housing which is intended for it at the lower part of the envelope 1.

The free peripheral volume which then remains around the sole 1 is likely to be filled by the deformation of the envelope 1 under the effect of the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid concrete at the time of the pouring of the bed B.

This deformation results in a depression of the angular zone of the lateral wall of the casing 1 which then comes into bearing contact against the chamfer t of the cross-member T as shown in dashed lines and in solid lines in FIG. 1.

This deformation creates a rigid zone forming a stop for the vertical travel of the cross member T.

The boot C of the invention shown in FIG. 2 in the free state, without a crosspiece, comprises an envelope 1, the lower part of which is provided, on its internal wall, with recesses 10.

The recesses 10 are intended to guarantee the envelope 1, flexibility in compression even after deformation of the wall under the effect of the hydrostatic pressure of the concrete. In FIGS. 2 and 3, the recesses 10 are produced in the form of vertical grooves, the height of which is at least equal to the thickness of the sole 2 increased by the height of the chamfer of the cross member T. In this way, the supports of the cross member T on the sole 2 and on the casing 1 are uniformly distributed and thus provide the cross member with an elastic support. According to another embodiment (not shown), the recesses are made in the form of cells.

Les cannelures 10 se prolongent éventuellement sur la paroi interne du fond 12 de l'enveloppe 1 jusque sous le bord périphérique de la semelle 2.The grooves 10 possibly extend on the inner wall of the bottom 12 of the casing 1 as far as the peripheral edge of the sole 2.

De préférence, les extrémités 10a des cannelures sont biseautées pour faciliter leur démoulage lors de la fabrication du chausson C.Preferably, the ends 10a of the grooves are bevelled to facilitate their demolding during the manufacture of the boot C.

Each groove corresponds to a weakening of the wall of the envelope 1 and therefore to a decrease in its intrinsic rigidity or to an increase in its flexibility.

The liner shown in FIG. 4 corresponds to an alternative embodiment in which the recesses 10, produced here in the form of grooves, are separated by stiffening elements 13 formed by bosses or thickeners ensuring the reinforcement of the wall of the envelope 1 .

The height of the bosses 13 corresponds substantially to that of the sole 2 in the free state so that the underside of the cross-member T rests both on the sole and, by its peripheral edge, on the upper face of the boss 13 .

In this case, the sole 2 will be made initially with dimensions substantially shorter than for the other embodiments so that, in the free state and in the absence of deformation, there remains a slight clearance between the peripheral edge. of the sole 2 and the vertical face of the boss 13.
