Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a comminution machine, in particular for cutting fibrous material, especially for chopping wood. Conventional shredding machines have a screw conveyor for the removal of the chips, which is arranged essentially parallel to the rotor axis and transports the chips that occur during the shredding process. A suction device, which may be arranged behind the screw, transports the wood chips from the screw to an ejection chute. This arrangement has the disadvantage that the screw conveyor complicates and increases the cost of the arrangement.
The object of the present invention is to provide a comminution machine which is suitable for working without a screw conveyor.
According to the invention, a comminution machine is specified with a rotor chamber, a conveyor belt introduced into the rotor chamber for removing material to be comminuted and a chopping rotor rotatably arranged in the rotor chamber, which is characterized in that a suction fan is provided radially outside the rotor, the axis of which is essentially transverse is arranged to the rotor axis. The shredding machine according to the invention is characterized by a suction device in the form of a suction fan, which is arranged radially outside the rotor in such a way that it picks up and transports the wood chips generated by the rotor directly behind the rotor. The arrangement of a screw conveyor is omitted.
The fan is preferably arranged on a side of the rotor opposite the conveyor belt with respect to the rotor. With this arrangement, that will Goods to be shredded transported on the conveyor belt are gripped by the rotor and transported tangentially into an area of the rotor space opposite the conveyor belt, from where it is transported away under the suction effect of the fan.
In the operating position of the shredding machine, the blower axis is located lower than the rotor axis. This takes account of the fact that the location of the comminution is in the region of the lower periphery of the chopping rotor, the chips, due to gravity, describing a downward tangential path from the rotor periphery. The suction fan, which is located below the rotor axis, easily takes up these wood chips.
It is preferred that a separating screen is arranged between the rotor and the fan. Such a separating sieve has a mesh size set in such a way that only wood chips with a dimension below the mesh size pass through and are transported away. The separating screen is adapted to the rotor periphery and therefore has an at least partially circular profile in cross section.
In one embodiment, the conveyor belt is angled in the area of the rotor space and extended into an area below the rotor. With this arrangement it is ensured that in the area of the rotor downward chips come into contact with an area of the angled conveyor belt section and are transported further in the direction of the blower. In this way, the chips can be prevented from going down.

- Fig. 1
- shows a cross section of an embodiment of the shredding machine according to the invention.
A chopping rotor 4 is rotatably mounted with its
Above the
Outside the separating
In the shredding machine according to the invention, a conveyor screw provided in the prior art is omitted due to the blower arrangement provided according to the invention, so that the shredding machine according to the invention can be manufactured considerably more cost-effectively and mechanically less expensively.
