Definitions
- the invention relates to a doll stand for carrying and holding a doll in an upright position Position that one in use positioned between the doll legs, vertical to the Doll lower body has leading supporting part, the supporting part on an element is attached, which holds it in a vertical position.
- the stands of Groups C and D have the support parts arranged on the edge of the base plate (exceptions: USPat.Nr.352.161 and 3,516,632
- the other disadvantages of these doll stands are to be noted:
- the cumbersome handling when removing the doll from the stand and mounting on the stand combined with the search for the correct position increase the risk of damage to the doll and clothes, deformation the clothes by the doll stand; the clothes forced by the construction , stiff backward inclined posture of the doll does not correspond to a natural posture; the bending or tilting moments caused by the construction are difficult to assess for their effect;
- these stands require the visible base plate; rotating the doll about its axis without moving the base plate is not possible even with small dolls; moving the legs freely is only possible to a limited extent.
- the groups C and D have their application limits if, due to the weight of the doll, the feet of the doll have to stand on the base plate.
- Leather bodies with sewn knees and hip joints can not take on any stress. None of the known doll stands could hold a 78 cm, 4.6 kg weight Present Paulinen "doll with a leather body from the period around 1840 in an upright position. In the case of dolls with a link body, the joints shift, the doll slips, etc. Somewhere the doll comes to rest in an undefined state for the time being.
- Group E The doll stand by Mattel Inc., as described above, definitely supports the doll close to the center of gravity and can be of any size, if trained, but as long as the doll's hip joints are firm, this is not the case with antique, reproduction and artist dolls This type of stand cannot therefore be used for such dolls, so the interesting task is to create a doll stand that, based on the support part positioned between the legs, securely holds and carries dolls of all sizes and at the same time provides maximum Presentation effect enables.
- the seat 9 consists of an abdominal part 5 and a seat part 6, which are connected to each other via the support part 3.
- the buttock part 6 has two wings 42, 43 which extend around the buttocks of the doll. Between the ends 44, 45 of the two wings 42, 43 facing the belly part 5 and the belly part 5, slits 46, 47 are formed which expand into openings 48, 49 between the lower edges of the wings 42, 43 and the support part 3.
- the seat bowl shown in FIG. 11 can be more precisely adapted to the lower body of the doll, if necessary.
- no slots 46, 47 are provided and the seat bowl has an all-round closed wall.
- the openings 48, 49 only have to be large enough to be able to insert the doll's legs and have no other function.
- a non-slip band for example a rubber band
- eyelets 50 are provided, to which belts or straps can be fastened, which are connected to a belt attached above the bulge of the doll, not only hold the doll securely in the doll stand, but also one Provide theft protection for the doll if the doll stand itself is secured against theft in a showroom or the like.
- the seat bowl whether one-piece or two-piece, is thin-walled and is adapted to the shape of the lower body. Molds are necessary for the production from metal or plastic. These additional costs are bearable for an artist doll, which is usually manufactured in a limited number of 600 to 1000 pieces. If the next artist doll has the same lower body shape, additional doll stands cost less and less. This applies even more to the production of new dolls in large numbers. If the elegant shape of the seat bowl is desired for a particular antique doll, one can be modeled. Also, if the seat bowl is equipped with a coupling part 4, it is better to first attach it to the doll and then to place it on the support part 2 in order not to bend the support part 2.
- the bracket 5, 6 with drawstring is the right thing.
- the bracket 5, 6 with brackets is the right thing.
- the conversion of the type of fastening of the lower end of the support part from one of the possible types of fastening (e.g. in the presentation plate) to one of the possible other types of fastening (such as under the presentation plate, with rotary drive, without rotary drive, with base plate) is simple and possible by changing the support part 2.
- Rotary drives are expected to turn the doll around its axis in about half a minute to one minute.
- the connection between the rotary drive and the support part 2 and, in the case of a multi-part support part, the connection of the individual parts and the connection between the support part 2 and the coupling part 4 should be firm enough to be able to transmit jerky torque surges.
- the doll stand according to the invention is no longer of the type known up to now, which can be bought in the shop, carried home and attached to the doll.
- the user chooses the pre-machined parts suitable for his doll, such as support part 3 with coupling part 4 and holder 5, 6, the correct shape and type of support part 2, the correct shape and type of fastening of the lower support part end and for this the necessary materials and additional parts. Manufacturing all of this is a matter of production.
- the support part 3 with its coupling 4 and the drawstring 5, 6 must be bandaged to the lower body of the doll. Aids will certainly be offered for this. Nevertheless, the user (the museum owner, collector or dealer) must have technical skills to make the attachment himself.
- the seat bowl alone could be added as a fixed component of the doll.
- the support part 2 and everything related to it base plate, no base plate, rotary drive, etc.) the buyer of the doll can choose himself.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a doll stand for carrying and holding a doll in an upright position Position that one in use positioned between the doll legs, vertical to the Doll lower body has leading supporting part, the supporting part on an element is attached, which holds it in a vertical position.
Sammlungen entstanden viele Puppenmuseen.
Dolls that were made before 1900 and shortly after are called antique dolls and have become valuable, occasionally very valuable collectibles. Many doll museums arose from these collections.
The visitor sees dolls standing next to dolls in these museums. They are held on the back by the doll stand, show the face and front face to the viewer, and the legs of the doll stand uniformly and uniformly on the base plate of the stand.
For example, fashion dolls, which were dressed to scale in the 19th century according to the latest fashion and were dispatched to distant countries for advertising, were then viewed with joy all around. These and the equally wonderful girl dolls and boy dolls cannot present their profile or their all-round beauty with the usual doll stands.
Beide Unterschenkel/Frankreich Pat.Nr.1.346,680 v. 5.2.1963/U.S.Pat.Nr.3,675.362 v.9.12.1970.
Beide Oberschenkel/U.S.Pat.Nr.3,516.632 v. 23.8.1968.
Both feet / DE-GM 92 05 187.1 from April 14, 1992.
Both lower legs / France Pat. No. 1,346,680 BC 5.2.1963 / USPat.Nr.3,675.362 v.9.12.1970.
Both thighs / US Pat. No. 3,516,632
The doll must have its own stamina with this doll stand. The wire support is brought up between the legs and ends on the lower body of the doll with two horizontal loops that surround and hold the thighs of the doll. The legs must stand on the base plate and bear the weight of the doll.
Doll stand with a support that is passed behind the doll's buttocks to the back or between the legs, which holds the doll's body in place with wire clips to prevent tipping in the hip joints.
First, the English patent specification No. 18.419 from 1889 (by an inventor from Sonneberg, the center of the German doll industry). The wire clips are cranked at the top. This is significant because the dolls from this period also had a significantly enlarged rear. The angle of the buttock / upper back connecting line of a doll to the vertical is assumed to be approx. 10 degrees. It will not have bothered the inventor that the support part, since it did not fit under the clothing, was fully visible.
Shortly afterwards in 1892 the US Pat. No. 479.481. This clearly shows the inclination of the support part. This allowed the wire clip to slip under clothing that was not too tight. With tailored clothing, you have to consider whether you accept bulging of the clothes or whether you want to lift the support part outside. This doll stand from 1892 - in variants with little deviation - still represents the predominantly used design today.
The stand shown in FIG. 2, for example, offers the possibility of bending the attachment fastened to the base plate, onto which the supporting part is attached. Another variant with a support part made of profile up to the base plate cannot be bent. The set inclination of the support part / vertical at approx. 6 degrees is a compromise and is usually too low for antique dolls.
The weight of antique dolls is the next problem with this stand design. Whether early dolls with papier-mâché heads and leather bodies or later dolls with porcelain heads and jointed bodies, equipped with wigs, hats, elaborate clothing, encores and jewelery - depending on the version - bring about the following weights on the stand: doll size 40cm - 0.8 to 1 , 2 kg; 60cm - 1.7 to 2.3 kg; 80cm - 2.9 to 3.7 kg; 100cm - 4.5 to 5.5 kg.
If a doll is now mounted on such a stand, some conditions must be observed for its optimal attachment: the pressure of the wire clips must not damage body paint or clothing; the doll's feet should touch the baseplate; the pressure of the wire clips should be sufficient to carry the doll safely; the friction molded tube / clamping wire should be large enough so that the clamping wire does not slip with certainty. Matching these components usually requires several attempts. There is therefore a risk of damage and impairment. DE-GM 92 05 195.2 v. 14.4. 1992: This proposal aims to free one leg while the other leg is supporting the weight of the doll. A support is raised behind the loaded leg and holds the upper body with an elastic band. The doll must have its own stamina.
The interesting proposal in US Pat. No. 352.161 from 1886 shows a construction in which the support is already arranged between the legs and from which two wire clips, one on the belly side, one on the buttock side, are jointly adjustable in height, be led up to the lower body. The pinched doll is thus supported forward and backward. The lateral support covers the legs. The doll must have its own stamina. It is aesthetically interesting that this arrangement removes the linkage more from the viewer's gaze.
One suggestion is US Pat. No. 2,527,152 from 1945, in which a stripe is led up vertically on the buttock side of the doll, bent 180 ° at the level of the cross vertebrae of the doll, between the legs through and on the belly side up to the level of the hip is brought up. The strip parts on the buttocks and abdomen are pressed against the lower body by a band. For dolls, alternatively, a strip is carried up to the waist on the belly side. From the vertical stripe on the side of the buttocks to the stripe on the belly side, which is arranged somewhat obliquely outwards, a further stripe is fastened to this, between the legs of the doll. The two stripes up to the waist are printed on the lower part of the doll with a ribbon. To adjust the height, the strip (s) to be viewed as the support part (s) is divided and provided with bores, so that the (s) divided strip (s) can be fastened displaced relative to one another. Because the height adjustment is only possible in stages, it can be excluded that the doll will definitely be carried. For this reason and because the moment of resistance of a strip arranged only on the buttocks side is small as a support, the help of the legs must also be used with this, aesthetically unappealing construction.
The proposal in US Pat. No. 4,706,915 from 1986 offers an innovation in that the doll is held at two positions (arm between the legs and holder on the upper body) so that it can be adjusted in height. The flexibility of the boom is necessary in order to be able to adapt the front part of the boom to the doll, but it is in conflict with the load-bearing capacity for larger dolls.
A doll stand from Mattel Inc. (Malaysia 1985 3415-Q 503-6-1) for the Barby doll shown in Fig. 1. A doll stand that supports the doll on the lower body between the legs from below. It consists of a flat support part, which is connected to a base plate and runs up between the doll legs to the doll body and has a saddle-shaped depression on its upper free end. A doll with her lower body can be placed on this recess, which supports the doll between her legs from below. In order to prevent the doll from falling forwards or backwards from the support part (the legs of the doll are supported on the side by the support part), projections are arranged in pairs below the recess on the left and right of the support part, which limit the freedom of movement of the thighs of the doll and consequently that Prevent the doll from tipping over.
The prerequisite for this, however, is that the hip joints are sufficiently firm, otherwise the doll's body can tip over even though the legs are held on the support part. The hip joints must also be firm in the lateral direction, since the projections on the support part act like wedges.
Damit
Puppe um ihre Achse ohne Bewegung der Grundplatte ist auch bei kleinen Puppen nicht möglich;
By word Doll presentation "one thinks primarily of antique dolls, and subsequently of reproductions of these antique dolls and further of the artist dolls in the process of development. These dolls have in common that they are heavy and have almost exclusively elastic bands for the mobility of the joints. Of these Dolls - especially when they are old - cannot assume their own stamina. Groups A and B are excluded. The stands of Groups C and D have the support parts arranged on the edge of the base plate (exceptions: USPat.Nr.352.161 and 3,516,632 The other disadvantages of these doll stands are to be noted: The cumbersome handling when removing the doll from the stand and mounting on the stand combined with the search for the correct position increase the risk of damage to the doll and clothes, deformation the clothes by the doll stand; the clothes forced by the construction , stiff backward inclined posture of the doll does not correspond to a natural posture; the bending or tilting moments caused by the construction are difficult to assess for their effect; these stands require the visible base plate; rotating the doll about its axis without moving the base plate is not possible even with small dolls; moving the legs freely is only possible to a limited extent.
The groups C and D have their application limits if, due to the weight of the doll, the feet of the doll have to stand on the base plate. Leather bodies with sewn knees and hip joints can not take on any stress. None of the known doll stands could hold a 78 cm, 4.6 kg weight
in drei Ausführungsarten beschriebene Puppenständer erfüllt in seiner Funktionalität alle
This is achieved by a doll stand according to claim 1.
The advantages of this doll stand ore would be:
- The support part, preferably made of steel, has a small and even diameter from bottom to top, is partially or completely covered by legs and clothing. The support section also looks elegant on boy dolls with pants if you should see it between the legs.
- The supporting structures (supporting
part 3, 5, 6, coupling part 4) are best applied to the lower body of the doll before the doll with these structures is placed on the upper end of the support part. The connection between the supporting part and the supporting structures is preferably a plug connection. Putting the doll on and taking it off is easy and the doll is carried safely. The doll's legs are not necessary for support.bracket - The doll's legs are free and can take on graceful positions.
- The plug-in connection also represents a fulcrum, which means that the doll, which has no bond, can be rotated manually on its own axis.
- The increase in body circumference through the
5, 6 and theholder bandage 9 is so small that even tightly fitting clothes still fit; clothes fall naturally; this doll stand is also ideal for the doll clothes maker who restores or makes doll clothes. She can turn the doll and work on it comfortably. - The posture of an attractive doll can proudly be straight or obligatory; this can be adjusted by slightly bending the plug-in part.
- The attachment of the lower end of the support part works well if it is welded to the underside of the base plate and is visible as an even rod or tube on the upper side of the base plate.
- A turntable that stands on the presentation plate (eg a display case base plate) and rotates the doll stand with base plate, support part and attached doll will also work well. The lower end of the support part can also be connected directly to the drive shaft of the turntable standing on the presentation plate instead of to the base plate. The visible part of the turntable stands still and the doll turns like an automaton.
- The greatest aesthetic effect is achieved if the support part is guided through the presentation plate and connected to a rotary drive positioned on the underside of the presentation plate.
- If no rotary drive is required, the support part can be attached directly to the presentation plate.
- To guide the support part through the presentation plate and to support it with a holding device positioned on the underside of the presentation plate has the advantage that a one-piece support part can be adjusted to the correct height with a greater scope.
- When the support part is fastened in the presentation plate or on its underside, the otherwise visible base plate is omitted.

Puppen in großen Stückzahlen.

The seat bowl, whether one-piece or two-piece, is thin-walled and is adapted to the shape of the lower body.

In addition, if it is an antique doll, the
This results in job creation in production and service.
The user will find that each of his dolls needs its own doll stand, which does not even fit another doll if it is the same size. The reason lies in the different body shapes from different manufacturers. The producer, on the other hand, assumes that there are thousands of museums and probably hundreds of thousands of collectors worldwide who own dolls of the same type.
There is a lot of literature on antique dolls, from which you can find clues about the shape of lower dolls. A special, comparative overview of the doll bodies used by the numerous manufacturers is not known in specialist circles.
In companies, doll bodies are made according to old forms because they are used for reproduction dolls. Collecting this information, evaluating it according to certain criteria and using it to create selection lists and cut-out sheets for trying on the doll's body would be the first guidelines for the producer.
The same applies to supporting parts with
When ordering a seat bowl, for example for an artist doll, the user provides the doll body for measurement because a shape is made based on the measurement result. The opposite way is that the producer of the seat bowl builds functional shapes and subsequently suggests the resulting lower body shape to the artist doll manufacturer. As a result, this means lower costs of the seat bowl for the artist doll manufacturer.
In addition, there is the market segment of the currently newly produced dolls, which can also be sold in combination with seat bowls.
For these new dolls as well as for the artist and reproduction dolls, only the seat bowl alone could be added as a fixed component of the doll. The
