Abstract

The fan equipment (6) is fitted to the arm of a sheet printing machine, in which a sheet (2) is guided on a circulating grab system by chain conveyors, and is removed towards a stop on a pile (5) in the arm, using compressed air. It is aligned roughly horizontally, and has guide equipment (8) between it and the sheet, in the direction of delivery of the airstream. The guide equipment has openings (10) which reduce the component of rotation in the airstream which is produced by the fan equipment, and which strengthen the component which is normal to the sheet. The openings may be in tubular or honeycomb form, and may be arranged normal to the plane in which the sheet is conveyed.
