Definitions

  • the invention refers to a container which, preferably made of plastic material and capable of adopting the shape of a bottle, can or vessel with parallelepiped configuration, presents the particularity, that the lateral sides are alternately equipped with complementary lands and recesses for the attainment of lateral assembly and inter-retention of the actual containers, enabling their transportation without requiring any type of packaging.
  • the container shall present a rectangular or quadrangular, or even hexagonal contour.
  • the container In addition to the lateral lands and recesses, the container also presents the particularity of having on its bottom surface, a perimetrimetral closed hollow or mortise, for the placement and positioning of the neck corresponding to the mouth of the lower container, and in its case, also house the handle in the case that the container has such an element.
  • the container which may be collaterally coupled and stacked with other similar ones, makes possible the formation of a block or assembly of containers which may be transported without requiring packages or boxes, only requiring a perimetral tape to keep them vertically grouped in the stack, since laterally, they remain positioned in a stable manner without possibility of displacement between each other, in virtue of the location of the necks and/or handles in the mortises or hollows provided to such an effect on the bottom.
  • Numerous types of container receptacles, of liquids and products of diverse type, such as drink bottles, vessels of other products such as oils, milk, etc., are sometimes commercialized in groups forming packages or blocks, each of which include various containers, the transportation and commercialization of which require that said group of containers are arranged in boxes, or else remain grouped together by means of a retractile package or envelope, in such a way that, be they either in boxes or in retractile envelopes, problems arise at the moment of recovery of said components, for their subsequent recycling or elimination.
  • this type of containers is hollow and is to be found in direct communication with the inside of the container, in such a manner, that when the same is filled up, air pockets are always present, impeding the total use of the actual capacity of the container.
  • this type of containers is provided with a land, the height of which is equal to that of the neck with the stopper to allow the stacking, though this land is also hollow and involves the above indicated disadvantages
  • the container of the invention which, as has been previously indicated, may be constructed in the form of a bottle, can, vessel or similar, presents the particularity that the contour is preferably rectangular or quadrangular, and even hexagonal, and their sides are alternately provided with at least, one pair of lands at different heights, complementary to recesses provided on the remaining sides, making possible the collateral coupling between the container to attain the grouping of various of them, thus forming a block, which, in virtue of the coupling between recesses and lands, may be handled without boxes or retractile packing envelopes, with the maximum use of capacity and without loss of any space between the grouped containers, achieving a reduction of volume which will incide both on the transportation and on the storage.
  • the lands and complementary recesses may have any adequate configuration to possibilitate their easy coupling and uncoupling and that additionally, they prove efficient in the inter-container retention, quoting as advantageous example, lands and complementary recesses in dovetail.
  • the said lands and complementary recesses are constructed in transversal direction as regards the vertical axis of the container, constituting stiffening reinforcements which prevent deformations during handling, transportation, filling, etc., of the actual cans.
  • the container may be constructed in the shape of a bottle with quadrangular or rectangular contour, with an upper neck which projects in a short tubular section, which in turn expands into another inverted neck in the form of a pan, through which it is possible to carry out the filling-up of the container and the closure by means of welding or any other conventional system, with the particularity that said upper projection, in the form of a pan constitutes the grasping means for the unitary transportation of the can, which, on the other hand, is provided on its base with a hollow or mortise to house the stacking of the part which determines the two axial necks provided on the upper part of the container.
  • said upper neck in the form of a pan may be independent as regards the lower neck so as to constitute, if desired, a stopper capable of coupling on said lower neck on which the mouth is determined, performing said independization by means of a simple sectioning of the narrow tubular section which joins the two previously indicated necks.
  • the container presents the shape of a can with a capacity for various liters
  • a handle which projects as regards the actual top base of the container, as a grasping element, all this in such a manner, that the total capacity of the container is useable and may be filled with liquid, thus solving the problem involved with conventional containers of this type, with hollow handle or land and in communication with the interior of the container.
  • This second type of container presents the particularity that on the bottom base of the same, it is provided with a rectangular mortise, defining a closed perimeter, the length and width of which is such, that it permits the location of the handle and neck with the stopper of the bottom container when they are stacked, thus preventing any type of lateral displacement of the stacked containers.
  • the container of the invention presents, in any of its versions, an approximately 100% capacity for using all the space available, with the consequent savings of transportation costs which may be evaluated at 20% to 30%.
  • the containers may be grouped without any type of packaging, allowing ease of transportation of the same.
  • the container presents the particularity that its structure is reinforced by means of lands and complementary recesses preventing deformations of the same.
  • the container 1 of the invention which may be of rectangular, quadrangular and even hexagonal configuration presents the particularity that at least two zones at different heights, of two of the sides, each include lands 2 which are complementary of corresponding recesses 3 provided in alternate manner on the other sides, all the above, with the object of achieving a collateral coupling between containers 1 as is represented in figures 2 and 3, allowing the formation of a block or package of containers 1 and of their being jointly transported without requiring boxes or retractile packing envelopes for the same.
  • Each container 1 includes on its base, a hollow or mortise 4 which allows the inter-stacking of containers, since in said hollow or mortise 4, an upper extension of the actual container may be located with precision fit, which is determinant of the filling neck and mouth, and the upper part or extension of which is determined by a neck 5 with its lateral surface affected by a web is determining a thread, neck 5 which continues axially and concentrically in a tubular section 6, and which in turn expands into another inverted neck 7 which, in the manner of pan, allows the constitution of a means through which the filling of the container 1 is conducted, using said neck in the manner of pan 7, after its independization, as stopper coupled by screwing on the neck 5 of container 1, since it shall have an internal webbing complementary to the one provided on said neck 5 in order to attach both parts or necks by screwing.
  • the closure of the same is effected by means of welding 8 of the tubular section 6, thus attaining a totally tight closure without requiring sealing, or even a stopper, since the neck in the manner of pan 7, is kept joined to the neck 5 through the tubular section 6 on which is embodied the welding 8, thus forming a strip 8' as represented in figure 5, by the narrowing and welding joint of the tubular section 6, originating on top and below said welding 8', the sections 5' and 7' which form part of necks 5 and 7 respectively, in such a manner that in order to open the container it shall be necessary to cut section 5' in which neck 5 is finished off on the upper part.
  • neck 7, once made independent from neck 5 and after being cut through the welded section 8' may be used as stopper of the actual container 1, in accordance with previous indications.
  • Lands 2 and complementary recesses 3 may have any suitable configuration, though advantageously, may have dovetail shape, attaining a retention between the containers without possibility that they may become independent unless an intentional and manual uncoupling is conducted by the user.
  • FIG. 6 An example of the maximum use of the space is schematically represented in figure 6, in which containers 1', in this case with hexagonal contour, define a packet of an indefinite number of units, without the least loss of space, a complete superpositioning of the confronted sides existing, since the contours are perfectly regular polygonals.
  • references 2' and 3' correspond to the lands and complementary recesses provided on the lateral sides of the hexagonal containers 1'.
  • Figures 7 through 10 show a variant embodiment of the container, in this case in the shape of a can, referenced generally with number 1'', can or container which is equipped with the corresponding lands 2'' and complementary recesses 3'', to permit the collateral inter-coupling, in similar fashion as is previously indicated.
  • Such container 1'' is provided on its upper part with a neck 5'' with stopper and a handle 9, both said neck and the actual neck with stopper 5'' reaching the same height.
  • Handle 9 which has an inverted "U"-shaped configuration and scarce thickness, may be hollow without communication existing between the same and the inside of container 1''.
  • container 1'' is affected with a mortise 4'' which is rectangular and perimetrically closed, the length and width of which are such that it allows the housing of handle 9 and neck 5'' with the stopper, in the stacking between containers, as is represented in figure 10, making impossible the lateral displacement of containers 1'' with one another, when said stacking is effected between the same, thus allowing an easier and more efficient storage.
