- the upper locking means 12 are protected from external contamination, such as mud, by a transverse protection plate 33 mounted articulated at central box 7 by a transverse axis 34 extending over the entire width of this box and a joint rubber seal 35 which as it is better shown in Figure 6, is in the form of a folded strip having one end fixed under the protective plate 33 and its other end fixed to the upper part of the liftable spout 9 on which the sheet metal comes to bear protection 33.
- the locking pins 16 of the elements forming drawing 14 cross the corresponding holes 17 with a clearance allowing the elements forming the tie 14 to not not be stressed by efforts when passing from vehicles on the road in service position as will see it later.
- each element of span 5 also includes spout locking means lift access 9 on a fixed access spout 10 of another adjacent span element to form a span of longer length.
- these locking means comprise a horizontal connecting rod 36 mounted on the pivot axis 11 of the access spout liftable 9 via a ball joint articulation 37 and fixed to the central box 7 by through an elastic stop 38 made of material elastomer mounted between the front wall 7a of the box central 7 and a radial tab 39 secured to the connecting rod horizontal 36 at its articulation to the box central 7.
- the elastic stop 38 is fixed to the box central 7 and at lug 39 by a stud 40 crossing the stop 38 and lug 39 while being anchored in box 7.
- the means for locking the liftable access spout 9 to fixed spout 10 also include a vertical connecting rod 41 connected to the lifting spout 9 via a stop spherical 42 which will be detailed and with a connecting rod horizontal 36 by means of a socket 43 allowing the passage of one correspondent of two axes sliding lock controlled transverse 44 arranged on both sides of the fixed access spout 10 on the other span element 5 at the end thereof.
- the spherical stop 42 includes a nut 45 within reach spherical 46 screwed onto the threaded end 41a of the vertical connecting rod 41 and resting on a spherical surface conjugate 47 of a base 48 fixed on a part of support 49 integral with the structure of the liftable spout 9, the upper part of the vertical connecting rod 41 passing through the support part 49 and the base 48.
- the base 48 is fixed to the support part 49 by fixing screws 50, of which only one is shown.
- the spherical stop 42 can be protected from mud by an upper cover 51 fixed to the base 48 by any appropriate means, by example of the fixing screws, and a protective bellows rubber 52 surrounding the lower part of the vertical connecting rod 41 being suitably fixed and waterproof at the lower end of the vertical rod 41 and under the support part 49.
- Figure 11 shows the liftable spout 9 in position lock raised before fixing on a fixed spout 10 another element of span 5 and, under these conditions, the horizontal link 36 and vertical link 41 assembly is kept in the correct position for presentation and locking the raised beak 9 to the fixed beak 10 on the other span element assembled by the elastic stop 38.
- the means of movement control of the two transverse axes 44 of the fixed access spout 10 are similar to those allowing the displacement of the transverse locking axes 16 and thus comprise a transverse shaft 53 mounted at rotation in a housing 54 secured to the end of the fixed spout 10; two threaded rods 55 integral respectively of the two ends of the rotary shaft 53 coaxial to it via a sleeve coupling 56 and on each of which is assembled an internally threaded sleeve constituting an axis transverse locking 44; and a way for rotating the rotary shaft 53 so to move the two axes in translation in opposite directions 44 slidably mounted in their respective bores 10a fixed access spout 10 from an unlocking position to a locking position for the end of the spout fixed access 10 and two connecting sockets 43 of the two horizontal 36 and vertical 41 connecting rods of the spout adjacent raised access.
- the two sockets 43 engage respectively in two longitudinal openings forming yoke 57 at the end of the fixed spout and of each side of it.
- the rotary drive means of the rotary shaft 53 includes a through rod 58 obliquely the structure of the fixed access spout 10 and of which an end portion 58a is rotatably mounted in the support housing 54 of the shaft 53 by two bearings 59, for example of the needle type, and carries a pinion bevel 60 meshing with another bevel gear 61 integral with the rotary shaft 53, the other end 58b of the drive rod 58 being coupled by through a mating like at Cardan 62 at an axis 63 rotatably mounted on the fixed spout 10 on the side of this one facing the other element of span of the same span 2, the axis 63 carrying a lateral pinion 64 on which is mounted a transmission chain (not shown) driven opposite the pinion 64 by a motor pinion of a drive member, such as motor electric, integral with the fixed spout 10.
- a through rod 58 obliquely the structure of the fixed access spout 10 and of which an end portion 58a is
- Each fixed access spout 10 of a span element 5 includes two parallel hook-shaped parts pyramid 65 located on each side of the spout 10 to opposite the end of this beak. These parts forming hook 65 are oriented towards the end of the fixed spout 10 and are intended to engage respectively in two longitudinal notches 66 of a raised beak 9 of another span element 5 located at the end of the spout 9 of each side of it. So when assembling two spans, each hook-shaped part 65 of a fixed access spout 10 of a span engages in the notch corresponding 66 of the lifting spout 66 of the other span so as to link these two spans transversely.
- the pyramid shape of the hook parts makes them slightly aggressive to vehicle wheels and allows these parts to be easily cleaned.
- the transverse connection between spans is also ensured by two lateral stops at angle 67 fixed on the upper part of the fixed spout 10 by screws fixing 68 on each side of this spout somewhat in rear of the openings 57 for receiving the sockets 43.
- FIG. 7 represents the lifting spout 9 of an element of span 5 of span 2 resting on the edge or bank of a breach 3 and locked in the low position by the upper locking means 12.
- This figure shows that the components of forces exerted at this end part of span element 5 are such as the pulling elements 14 means of lock 12 work in compression as shown by the two arrows F1. Because the liftable spout 9 occupies its low position, each nut 45 within reach spherical 46 is disengaged from its support base corresponding 48 as clearly shown in Figure 7.
- Figure 8 shows the situation where two span elements 5 of two different span are assembled together by the locking means comprising the horizontal 36 and vertical 41 connecting rods and the sockets 43 on both sides of the spout 9 locked in position taken up by the elements forming tie rod 14 and the locking pins 44 engaged respectively in the two sockets 43 with the two nozzles 9 and 10 linked transversely by the hook-shaped stops 65 and the lateral stops 67.
- connecting rods are free to go up and therefore the end of the fixed spout 10 door under the raised beak 9 and the elastic stops 38 and spherical 42 allow lateral movement of the two connecting rods 36, 41 eliminating or limiting the lateral force transmission so these two connecting rods undergo only compression or traction, excluding bending forces, span being of course linked transversely by the stops 65 and 67.
