Definitions
- the invention relates to the sector of snow sliding sports, more precisely to that of snowboarding. It concerns more particularly a shoe structure for surfing.
- the shoes allowing the practice of snowboarding are produced according to various structures.
- the objective which the invention proposes to resolve is to provide a surf shoe having a flexible structure of the boot type, and simultaneously ensuring comfort and effective clamping of the foot in the shoe.
- This shoe is characterized in that the sole has lateral extensions going up on the sides of the foot, the upper end of these extensions comprising elements intended to cooperate with the tightening members.
- the invention consists in tightening the rod directly on the sole.
- the extensions have come from molding and are arranged symmetrically to the plane longitudinal vertical of the shoe. In this way, the tightening is carried out by the reconciliation of the extension pairs located one opposite the other. To optimize tightening directions, extensions can also be arranged asymmetrically to the plane longitudinal vertical of the shoe.
- the notches corresponding to the spaces between each extension form flexing zones of the sole which coincide with the natural articulation axes of the foot. This provision turns out particularly advantageous for walking comfort and for sport of surfing.
- the rod present in the heel-instep diagonal, and on each side of the foot, an element intended to cooperate with the clamping members.
- the rod is made of a plastic material thermoformable and present after forming, hollow parts intended to form housings to receive the extensions of the sole.
- the rod is thermoformed in such a way that the sole and in particular its extensions, are fitted under the lower part of the stem. Thanks to this advantageous architecture, in the case bonding, only the amount of glue required is placed in the hollow parts of the rod, which avoids any risk of burrs.
- the sole In order to improve the clamping efficiency and increase the solidity of the sole, it has straps connecting the ends symmetrical extensions, passing under the bottom of the foot.
- these straps can be embedded in the thickness of the sole.
- each pair of extensions has a reinforcement arranged under the foot between two symmetrical clamping members.
- the means of tightening are hooks or eyelets lace.
- the clamping elements are hook-and-tooth assemblies commonly used on alpine ski boots.
- the upper receives a removable liner.
- the surf boot (1) according to the invention is broken down into two main elements, namely the upper (2) and the sole (3).
- the sole (3) has a flat upper face intended to be glued under the underside (5) of the rod.
- the underside (4) of the rod and fulfills its traditional function of contact surface with the ground.
- the sole (3) shown independent of the rod (2) in Figure 5, includes a number extensions (6-13) which go up on the lateral edges (14) of the rod (2).
- these extensions (6-13) are four in number, arranged along the edge of the stem. So the -most front extensions (6, 7) are located substantially at the level toes, the second extensions (8, 9) are located at and back of the metatarsophalangeal joint, the third extensions (10, 11) arise substantially at the rear of the arch and are directed forward, while the last extensions (12, 13) arise at the level of the calcaneus and are point upward and forward over the malleoli.
- each of these extensions receive an element allowing the passage of laces (17) or hooking loops (18).
- FIG. 4 several types of snap elements have been represented. equivalent, namely lugs (15) or hooks commonly used on hiking boots, or eyelets (16) mounted on bases riveted.
- these elements (17) can be directly derived from the molding of the sole (3), which improves the rigidity and the strength of these attachment points.
- the extensions (12, 13) located in the rear area of the shoe are connected together by a strap, a horizontal bar.
- these extensions (12, 13) form a one-piece collar from molding.
- the sole (3) is equipped with additional straps (20, 23) which are embedded or sewn in said sole.
- these straps (20, 23) connect two lace-up elements located on two symmetrical extensions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13) passing on the underside (4) of the sole and therefore under the rod (2). It is understood that this arrangement improves the tightening, as well that the holding of the lace-up elements (15, 17) by reducing the risks accidental removal.
- These straps (20, 23) can be made either in woven fabric, either in rigid plastic, or even in a more sophisticated shape with metallic wires.
- This rod (2) has known arrangements, namely an upper covering the front and the top of the foot to which two lateral uprights (26, 27) extending from the rear region of the rod.
- this rod (2) comprises a bellows (28) before, at the level from the bottom of the tibia which is expandable to allow the introduction of the foot inside the rod (4).
- this rod receives a removable liner (29) having qualities of comfort satisfactory for the user.
- the rod (2) has elements (51) allowing the attachment of a strap (50) at the bottom of the leg.
- the rod (2) has on each side, in the heel-instep diagonal, an element (30) intended to cooperate with the clamping members.
- This element is anchored (31) securely on the rod (2) by sewing or riveting or any other known means.
- the tightening is obtained jointly by bringing together the extensions (6, 13) of the sole and by that of the anchored elements (30) on the stem.
- This mixed tightening allows independence and makes the flexion of the ankle does not cause a change in the tension of the cage.
- these two elements are connected to each other by a strap covering the back of the foot at level of the bottom of the heel, always with the aim of improving tightness.
- the lateral uprights (26) are separated from the vamp (25) by a notch (32) which facilitates the flexion of the leg.
- the part of the rod intended to come into contact with the characteristic sole has hollow parts (40, 43) produced by thermoforming. These hollow parts (40, 43) are produced along the contour of said sole and in particular extensions (6, 13). In this way, the sole (3) fits inside of these hollow parts (40, 43) to form a compact assembly with the rod.
- This arrangement allows the adhesive to spread the glue only in the hollow parts, which avoids, during positioning, untimely burrs.
- the geometry of the rear part of the sole and in particular of the tabs (45, 46) are directed from the malleoli to the Achilles tendon, which allows the sole to form an advantageous buttress for holding and the stiffness of the shoe.
- the surf boot according to the invention has the advantage of tighten the upper on the foot and then directly on the sole, which allows a much more effective tightening than on all existing shoe types.
