Definitions
- the invention relates to a bracelet clasp of the folding clasp type comprising a base blade on which is likely to fall back at least one first pivoting blade, said blades being attached together by one of their ends by means of a first articulation, these blades comprising a device notch allowing them to hang on top of each other closed position.
- the document CH-A-353 567 shows a clasp comprising two metal blades connected by a hinge. One of these blades has a longitudinal slot and two tenons and the other has an opening in which can engage the tenons.
- the document CH-A-671 499 describes two elements of a deployable clasp, articulated to each other. One of the elements has a attached and deformable plastic part elastically. This piece engages in an opening rectangular in the other element, with the edges from which it cooperates in a friction engagement or notch.
- the present invention proposes to replace the opening made in one of the blades by a second elastic element cooperating with the first located on the other blade.
- the notch device of the invention is it characterized by the fact that it has a first tab emerging from the blade of base and a second tab emerging from the first pivoting blade, said first and second tongues are back to back and head to tail to block said blades when they are in the position of closing.
- the clasp has, according to the first embodiment, a base blade 1 on which is likely to fall back at least a first pivoting blade 2.
- Blades 1 and 2 are attached together by one of their ends to the by means of a first articulation 3.
- These blades comprise a notch device which is the main subject of the present invention and which allows them to hang on to one on the other in the closed position. This device will be described now in detail.
- the notch device has a first tab 4 which emerges from the base blade 1 and a second tab 5 which emerges from the first pivoting blade 2.
- the first and second tabs 4 and 5 come back to back and head to tail when the clasp is locked in the closed position.
- the head of the tongue 4 adjoins the root of tongue 5 and, from analogously, the head of the tongue 5 adjoins the root of tongue 4, these tongues resting on one against each other by their respective backs.
- the notch system of the invention it's not just a tongue that hooks into an opening, as it is the case of the clasps cited in previous documents, but two tabs which catch on one another.
- the tongues 3 and 4 having each an elastic effect, this effect is doubled at the moment where said tabs are pressed back to back and upside down one against the other, i.e. when the blades are in the closed position.
- Figures 1 to 3 also show that the tabs 4 and 5 are each provided with an attack bevel referenced 20 and 21 respectively. These bevels are arranged and sized to allow smooth sliding of a tab on the other at the time of closing, which first ensures a progressive click-in, then a maximum tension in closed position of the two blades.
- blades 1 and 2 can be each derived respectively from strip profiles cut to the desired width, which avoids costly machining.
- first and second tabs 4 and 5 can be made entirely from materials respectively constituting the base plate 1 and the first pivoting blade 2, said tabs being lifting of said matters. We will use for this cutting and stamping methods.
- the clasp can however have a second pivoting blade 6 attached to the base blade 1 by a second articulation 7.
- first strand of the bracelet (not shown) is attached to the hinges 16 forming part of the first blade swivel 2 and the second strand of the bracelet (also not shown) is attached to hinges 17 forming part of the second pivoting blade 6.
- two solutions can be envisaged to block the second pivoting blade 6 on the base blade 1:
- FIG. 1 The first solution is illustrated by Figures 1 to 3.
- the closing device hooking the base blade 1 on the second pivoting blade 6 is identical to that which has been described above.
- a third tab 8 emerges from base blade 1 then that a fourth tab 9 emerges from the second blade pivoting 6.
- These third and fourth tabs 8 and 9 come back to back and head to tail to block said blades when they are in the position of closing.
- FIG. 4 The second solution is illustrated by Figures 4 to 6.
- the closure hooking the base blade 1 on the second blade pivoting 6 has an opening 10 made in the base blade 1.
- These pushers are each provided with hooks 14 and 15 which engage in housings 12 and 11 respectively, when the blades 1 and 6 are in the closed position.
- This push and hook closure system is known from the state of the art, so it has not been illustrated and described in more detail here, but only shown schematically. The interested reader will find one full description in document CH-A-665 101. A note that to better show the opening 10 and the housing 12 made under said opening 10, FIG. 5 does not not show the push-button mechanism.
- FIGS 4 to 6 also illustrate a second mode of the invention.
- the base blade 1 has both a third tab 8 which emerges from said base blade 1 and an opening 10 on either side and under which housing 11 and 12 are fitted out. arrangement, base blade 1 can accommodate two options types of second swivel blade 6.
- the second pivoting blade 6 of the first type is described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 and includes a fourth tab 9 which emerges therein to cooperate with the third tab 8 of the base blade 1, these tabs coming back to back and head to tail to block blades 1 to 6 in the closed position.
- the second pivoting blade 6 of the second type has been described and illustrated in Figures 4 and 6.
- the second blade 6 has a system of actuable push buttons 13 manually, these pushers being provided with hooks 14 and 15 entering the referenced accommodation 12 and 11 respectively when blades 1 and 6 are in closed position.
