Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Gummieren des Randes eines unrunden, insbesondere eines ovalen oder Vierkantdeckels einer Dose, z. Vierkantdeckeln für quaderförmige Dosen wird die Gummierung aus einem flüssigen Dichtmittel entweder mit einem Stempel auf dem Deckelrand aufgetragen oder mit einer Vielzahl von entsprechend der Deckelform nebeneinander angeordneten Nadeldüsen in den Deckelrand eingespritzt. Bei einem anderen Verfahren läuft eine elektropneumatisch gesteuerte Düse um einen Deckel herum und spritzt das Dichtmittel in den Deckelrand. Mit diesen bekannten Verfahren ist ein gleichmäßiger Auftrag des Dichtungsmittels auf den Deckelrand nicht zu erreichen. Dies ist jedoch für einen hermetischen Deckelverschluß unerläßlich.Tin cans, the content of e.g. B. Ein Vierkantdeckel 1, in dessen angerollten oder hochgestellten Rand 2 ein Dichtungsmittel aus einer feststehenden Spritzdüse 3 gespritzt wird, ist in einer drehbar auf einem Schlitten 4 angeordneten Deckelaufnahme 5 gehalten. Die Deckelaufnahme 5 weist eine Vierkantzahnscheibe 6 auf, deren neutrale Linie mit der Mittellinie des zu gummierenden Randes 2 des Vierkantdeckels 1 übereinstimmt. Mit der Vierkantzahnscheibe 6 kämmt ein Zahnrad 7, das die gleiche Anzahl Zähne wie die Vierkantzahnscheibe 6 hat, so daß die Umfangsgeschwindigkeit des Zahnrades 7, der Vierkantzahnscheibe 6 und damit des zu gummierenden Randes 2 des Vierkantdeckels 1 nicht nur gleich, sondern bei gleichmäßiger Drehzahl des Zahnrades 7 auch konstant sind; denn nur die konstante Umfangsgeschwindigkeit des Randes 2 des Vierkantdeckels 1 gewährleistet eine optimale Verteilung des eingespritzten Gummis im Rand 2.A square cover 1, in the rolled or raised edge 2 of which a sealant is sprayed from a fixed spray nozzle 3, is held in a cover receptacle 5 rotatably arranged on a carriage 4. Durch diese Lageänderung des Zahnrades 7 kämmen dessen Zähne nicht mehr einwandfrei mit denjenigen der Vierkantzahnscheibe 6.
