Definitions
- the invention relates to a turning handle according to the preamble of claim 1.
- lockable and lockable window handles that prevent both unauthorized and unwanted opening of a window. They contain a spring-loaded pressure element in the front handle part in order to be able to advance or retract a bolt or a locking bolt which, when the window handle is in the closed position, can engage or snap into a suitable recess on the stop piece or on the front handle part.
- the window handle can only be turned to the open position after the pressure element has been actuated ("push-to-open").
- the latter can be a lock cylinder that can be locked and unlocked with the help of a key.
- a locking element in the form of a two-armed rocker being provided in a handle pivotally connected to a base plate.
- One arm of the rocker is articulated on the lower end of a locking cylinder, which is axially displaceably mounted in a bore that penetrates the main part of the handle. In the rest position, the cylinder protrudes beyond the main part of the handle and is loaded by a coil spring.
- the other end of the rocker is designed as a stop or locking head and can be in the closed position of the handle engage in a recess in the base plate so that pivoting of the handle and thus opening the window is not possible.
- the locking head is lifted out of the recess via the rocker.
- the handle can now be swiveled.
- the stop head of the rocker is automatically raised from the outer edge of the base plate.
- the bolt snaps back into the recess.
- the locking cylinder can be locked in the axial direction with a key. Due to the direct coupling between the locking element and the locking cylinder, however, it is no longer possible to close an open window with an already locked cylinder.
- a similar device is described in GB-B1-2 192 927. Thereafter, a two-armed rocker, likewise rotatably mounted in a handle, engages in a recess in the base plate with a spring-loaded arm in the form of a latching lug, so that the handle cannot be pivoted.
- the second arm has an attachment which penetrates the top of the handle in the form of a button. If you press it down, the latch is raised against the spring force and the handle is released. However, locking the latch against unauthorized actuation is not provided.
- the aim of the invention is to develop a turning handle that ensures reliable and permanent locking with little effort. In addition, a pivoting back of the already locked window handle into the closed position should be possible at any time. Another aim is to facilitate the assembly of a turning handle.
- a turning handle in particular in a lockable door or window handle with a main part, the handle head of which is preferably axially fixed / rotatable with a handle neck on a rosette and has a bore for receiving an axially displaceable locking cylinder, with its bolt-shaped end at least one spring-loaded lever arm can be actuated, which prevents pivoting of the window handle about an axis in the locked position
- the invention provides that the lever arm is provided with at least two engagement elements which enter the associated recesses of the handle head in the locked position. In this way, a significantly improved locking security of the window handle is achieved.
- the entire locking mechanism can advantageously be released via one of the latching elements.
- the second element on the other hand, is only used for locking. A violent turning of the handle head is not possible.
- an outer engagement element engages in an associated recess with a greater depth than a second inner engagement element in its associated recess, so that the latching elements withstand even the greatest loading moments without problems. Because the lever arm is actuated according to claim 3 via the inner engagement element, the outer engagement element can also be arranged at a maximum distance from the axis of rotation of the handle head. The locking safety of the turning handle is extremely high, levering it out is almost impossible.
- the lever is designed with one arm and is pivotably mounted near the axis, namely near the guide region of the handle neck in the rosette, the lever arm according to claim 5 being essentially rectilinear and provided with cranked portions and / or beads which form the engagement elements.
- the invention further provides in claim 6 that the lever arm has as engagement elements a saddle associated with the lock cylinder bolt and an outer locking lug, for example in the form of an offset.
- the saddle By actuating the locking cylinder, the saddle is pushed out of the hole in the grip head by the bolt and at the same time the outer locking lug is pushed out of its recess.
- the window handle is unlocked and can be swiveled. Due to the arrangement of the engagement elements on the lever arm mounted on one side, however, the Locking nose a much further way back compared to the saddle. This makes it possible to design the locking lug higher than the saddle.
- the saddle is curved at the head end and / or has inclined flanks. This enables the window handle to be pivoted into the closed position without actuating the locking cylinder, which can consequently already be locked.
- the outer edge of the grip head hits the flanks of the saddle when the handle is swung back and automatically pushes it down.
- the locking lug is pushed down over the lever arm so that the window handle can be brought fully into the closed position, where the engagement elements automatically snap back into their recesses.
- claim 8 provides that the saddle and locking lug are arranged in alignment with one another and with the axis of the handle head on the lever arm.
- the embodiment in claim 9 provides that a screw cam of the rosette can be overlapped by a hole existing on the lever arm between the saddle and the locking lug. This means that the screw holes in the cams are freely accessible at all times.
- the lever arm is designed as a die-cast element, which ensures good mechanical stability and also cost-effective production.
- the lever arm can be designed as a forged part.
- it can be structurally advantageous if the lever arm is a cranked flat part.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides according to claim 13 that the lever arm is floatingly mounted in a compartment of the rosette, the lever according to claim 14 for the purpose of guiding at the end having pins which in one Intervene bearings.
- This design combines minimal design effort with particularly simple, quick installation.
- Claim 15 further provides that the inner end of the lever is arranged between a stepped shoulder of the compartment and a fixing bar.
- the lever engages with its raster elevations automatically when pivoting the handle in the associated recesses in the handle neck, it is spring-loaded according to claim 16.
- the use of a helical spring is provided according to claim 17, which can be easily and conveniently installed.
- the coil spring is arranged according to claim 18 below the saddle.
- the lever according to claim 19 is loaded by a leg spring seated on both sides of the screw cam or the lever arm is formed in one piece according to claim 20 as a curved spring element which is supported on the bottom of the compartment with a leg surrounding the screw cam.
- claim 21 provides that the lever arm is in one piece with the rosette.
- the development according to claim 22 is important, according to which a cover plate on the rosette that can be pivoted between the handle head and the rosette around the handle neck can be secured against pivoting by the engagement elements.
- the cover plate according to claim 23 each has a window for the passage of the engagement elements, the latter engaging in a form-fitting manner in the windows of the cover plate according to claim 24.
- This covers the screws in the screw holes in a simple manner and also makes it easier to assemble the window handle, because when the plate is pivoted, the locking elements on the lever arm are completely sunk into the rosette.
- the handle can be freely pivoted around its neck during assembly. Additional locking elements or stop edges on the rosette or on the cover plate are no longer necessary, which considerably reduces the manufacturing effort and thus the manufacturing costs.
- the window handle shown in FIG. 1, designated overall by 10, has a main part 12 (only partially drawn), the handle head 14 of which continues in the front area with a handle neck 16, a shoulder 18 and a square pin 20.
- the main part 12 can be provided with finger recesses on the inside and / or be laterally offset from the handle head 14 in order to facilitate the handling of the window handle 10.
- the grip head 14 is axially fixed / rotatably connected to a rosette 30 which has screw cams 31 with screw holes 32 for fastening and in which the grip neck 16 extends through a central recess 34.
- a locking bush 24 is rotatably mounted, which rests on a step 35 in the recess 34 via a washer 26.
- the locking bush 24 preferably has on its peripheral edge four axial grooves 28, each offset by 90 °, into which the lugs 38 of a locking element 36, which is also mounted in the recess 34, can snap and snap out elastically.
- a torque is transmitted to a window locking mechanism (not shown) via the square pin 20, the latching lugs 38 of the latching element 36 indicating that an end position has been reached by latching into the associated axial grooves 28 in the latching bush 24.
- a through bore 44 in the grip head 14 Parallel to the axis 22 of the square pin 20 there is a through bore 44 in the grip head 14, which has a step 46 at the lower end and forms a closing bore 45.
- a stop sleeve 48 is fixedly inserted in the bore 44, in which a locking cylinder 50 is mounted so as to be axially displaceable.
- a compression spring for example a helical spring 52, surrounds the lower, bolt-shaped end 54 of the cylinder 50 and is supported on the step 46 of the bore 44 and on a locking washer 56 placed on the cylinder body. In this way, the locking cylinder 50 is loaded in the rest position by the spring 52 upward until the locking washer 56 abuts the stop sleeve 48.
- the head 58 of the locking cylinder 50 designed as a pushbutton, protrudes from the grip head 14, so that it can be operated comfortably, for example with the thumb of a hand enclosing the handle 12.
- the rosette 30 has an essentially rectangular compartment 60 comprising a screw hole 32. At its area directed towards the recess 34 of the rosette 30 there is a e.g. bearing 62 divided by two lateral projections 64, in which a step or a shoulder 66 is formed.
- a cover plate 40 is pivotably arranged between the handle head 14 and the rosette 30. To screw on the rosette 30, the plate 40, as shown in particular in FIG. 4, is pivoted to the side so that the screw holes 32 are freely accessible. After mounting on the sash frame, the cover plate 40 covers both the screws and the compartment 60.
- a spring-loaded, pivotally mounted lever arm 70 which rests on the step 66 and engages behind the projections 64 of the bearing 62 with two pins 72.
- a fixing strip 68 is fastened in the rosette 30 and prevents the lever arm 70 from escaping upward.
- a leg spring 74 In front of the projections 64 of the compartment 60 is a leg spring 74, the legs of which are supported on the bottom of the compartment 60 and on the underside of the lever arm 70. It can be seen in FIGS.
- lever arm 70 as a substantially flat shaped body, corresponds approximately to the size of the compartment 60 and has a hole 76 surrounding the associated screw hole 32, through which a hole in the screw hole 32 (not shown) ) Screw is accessible at all times.
- the lever arm 70 has a projection or saddle 78, for example in the form of an arcuate bead. This is arch-shaped or arched on the head side and at the same time serves as an inlet slope when the window handle is pivoted back into its closed position.
- the lever arm 70 has a latching lug 80, for example in the form of an offset.
- the leg spring 74 presses the lever arm 70 upward against the fixing bar 68 below the cover plate 40, which has two windows 41, 42 through which the latch 80 and the saddle 78 can reach.
- the lever arm 70 is designed as a die-cast part, the size and shape of which is also adapted to the compartment 60. Elements of the same type are identified with the same reference numbers. It consequently has both a latching lug 80 and a ball-shaped elevation 78 with inlet flanks 79 and lies on one side on step 66 of compartment 60. Pins 72 engage behind the projections 64 of the bearing 62 and thereby prevent the lever arm 70 from escaping in the longitudinal direction. Below the elevation 78 there is a blind bore 71 into which a coil spring 73 is inserted. This is supported on the bottom of the compartment 60 in the rosette 30 and presses the lever upwards, which is supported flat on the cover plate 40. For this reason, the bore 76 of the lever arm 70 is formed obliquely for gripping over the screw cam 31, so that the lever can be freely pivoted downward.
- the coil spring 73 sits non-positively in the bore 71.
- the lever arm 70 forms a mounting unit with the spring 73 and can be inserted into the compartment 60 with only a few hand movements, without the spring accidentally jumping out can.
- Coil springs 73 are easy to handle and allow at least partially automated assembly.
- the saddle or the elevation 78 engages through the window 42 lying above the compartment 60 in the cover plate 40 into the closing bore 45 in the handle head 14 (FIG. 3, FIG. 5).
- the latch 80 of the lever arm 70 engages positively through the window 41 in the cover plate 40 into, for example, a pocket-shaped depression 82 in the rear region of the handle head 14, so that twisting of the handle 12 or of the window handle 10 is not possible. Rather, the locking lug 80 rests on the inside of the pocket recess 82 and the lever arm 70 would be pressed against the inner surfaces of the compartment 60 during a turning attempt via the locking lug 80.
- the power transmission takes place at a maximum distance from the axis of rotation 22, so that the lock can withstand even large loads without problems. Because the lever arm 70 is adapted to the size of the compartment 60 and the locking lug 80 is positively seated in the recess 82, the handle 10 does not wobble during a turning attempt, which would otherwise loosen the handle head 14 in the rosette 30. The window handle 10 easily withstands even heavy loads and offers permanent security.
- the locking cylinder 50 In order to be able to operate the window handle 10, the locking cylinder 50 must be pressed downward against its spring 52 (“push-to-open”). As a result, the saddle 78 of the lever arm 70 is pressed out of the locking bore 45 in the grip head 14 by the bolt-shaped end 54 of the cylinder 50. At the same time, the latch 80 releases the sack recess 82 in the grip head 14.
- the actuation path of the cylinder bolt 54 is dimensioned such that it pushes the bead 78 and thus the locking lug 80 to just below the bottom surface of the handle head, so that pivoting of the handle 12 is possible without problems.
- the locking elements 78, 80 which always fit snugly in the windows 41, 42, thus serve to prevent rotation for the cover plate 40. Additional locking lugs or offsets on the plate 40 or the rosette 30 are no longer required. Both components 30, 40 can be completely flat, which considerably simplifies production.
- the locking lug 80 travels a greater distance than the saddle 78. As a result, the depth of penetration of the locking lug 80 into the sack recess 82 is increased in comparison to conventional locking devices. Nevertheless, the actuation path of the lock cylinder 50 is no longer than before.
- the locking cylinder 50 can be locked, e.g. by turning it into a locking position with a key (not shown). Depressing the cylinder 50 is then no longer possible; the bead 78 and the detent 80 can not be triggered.
- the handle head 14 In the closed position, the handle head 14 preferably covers one half of the rosette, the locking elements 78, 80 again through the windows 41, 42 snap into their recesses 44, 82.
- the advantage here is that a window handle 10 can be pivoted into a closed position even with the locking cylinder 50 already locked. This is important, for example, if a window is to be closed later, but you do not want to forget to lock it, or if a third person who is not allowed to have access to the keys for the locking cylinder is to close the window.
- the cover plate 40 To mount the window handle assembly on a window sash, first swivel the cover plate 40 to the side in order to expose the screw holes 32.
- the saddle 78 of the lever arm 70 is e.g. pressed against the spring 74 by means of a screwdriver until the catch 80 and the saddle 78 release the windows 41, 42 in the plate 40.
- This can now be easily pivoted to the side without lifting or bending up and keeps the lever arm 70 in the lowered position. If the screws for fastening the rosette 30 are tightened in the holes 32, the cover plate 40 is simply pivoted back into its starting position, the latch 80 and the saddle 78 snapping back into their windows 41 and 42, respectively.
- the underside of the cover plate 40 acts as a stop for the lever arm 70.
- the invention is not limited to one of the above-described embodiments, but can be modified in many ways.
- the pins 72 of the lever arm 70 can thus engage in associated bearing openings near or in the recess 34 or in the region of the bearing 62.
- the fixing bar 68 can then be dispensed with, which would further simplify the manufacture of the window handle 10.
- the lever arm 70 itself can be flat as a forged part and carry a projection 78 and a locking lug 80 in the form of bolts or pins, which can pass through suitable windows 41, 42 in the cover plate 40.
- a coil spring acting on the outer free end of the lever can be used to preload the lever arm. Because of the extraordinarily good stability and robustness, the handle 10 can also be used without problems for closing a door.
- a lockable door or window handle 10 has a main part 12 mounted on a rosette 30, the handle head of which has a bore 44, 45 for receiving a spring-loaded locking cylinder 50.
- This has a bolt-shaped end 54 which has a single-arm, essentially straight lever arm 70 with one associated with the locking cylinder bolt 54 arcuate saddle 78 and an outer latch 80 operated.
- the locking elements 78, 80 engage in associated recesses 45, 82 of the handle head 14, so that pivoting of the window handle 10 is not possible.
- the lever arm 70 for example floating in a compartment 60 of the rosette 30, in particular in the form of a cranked flat part, overlaps a screw cam 31 in the rosette 30 with a bore 76.
- a cover plate 40 with windows 41 and 42 for the passage of the engagement elements 78, 80 is between the handle head 14 and the rosette 30 pivotally arranged.
