Es ist bekannt, das Abschirmgehäuse bis über die Befestigungsflansche der Steckverbinder zu führen und das Abschirmgehäuse mitsamt dem Steckverbinder-Isolierkörper mittels einer Schraube im Flanschbereich an der Befestigungsfläche anzuschrauben. Dabei erfolgt eine leitende Verbindung zwischen dem Abschirmgehäuse und der Befestigungsfläche über die Schraube, deren Kopf bzw. Mutter am Abschirmgehäuse kontaktiert.
Daneben ist es bekannt, in Flanschausnehmungen von Steckverbindern Muttern einzulegen, in die eine Befestigungsschraube eingedreht werden kann und mit der der Steckverbinder an einer Befestigungsfläche festgeschraubt werden kann. Bei Steckverbindern mit dieser Befestigungsart ist jedoch kein Abschirmgehäuse vorgesehen.

Durch die formschlüssige Aufnahme des Befestigungsteils im Flansch ist gewährleistet, daß dieses sich beim Anschrauben des Steckverbinders nicht drehen kann.
Nach unten hat das Befestigungsteil einen Zapfen 11 und ist mit einer durchgehenden Gewindebohrung 12 versehen.

B. eine Leiterplatte 16, wird das Befestigungsteil gegen die Leiterplatte gezogen, wobei die Kanten 17 der Arme gegen die federelastischen Lappen 13 gedrückt werden und dabei eine gute elektrische Verbindung zwischen den Lappen/dem Abschirmgehäuse und dem Befestigungsteil herstellen. dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Befestigungsteil (7) etwa T-förmig ausgebildet und aus elektrisch leitendem Material hergestellt ist, wobei dessen oberes Teil (8) rechteckig gestaltet ist und zwei gegenüberliegende Ausnehmungen (9) aufweist, so daß vier sich nach außen erstreckende Arme (10) ausgebildet sind, daß das Befestigungsteil (7) von oben her derart in die Ausnehmung (6) des jeweiligen Flansches eingelegt ist, daß sich die Arme (10) zu den Seiten des Steckverbinders (1) erstrecken, und wobei die Unterseite (14) des Befestigungsteils einen Abstand von der Unterseite des Steckverbinders (15) aufweist, daß das Abschirmgehäuse (4) über den Isolierkörper (3) gestülpt ist, wobei Seitenteile des Abschirmgehäuses bis über die Enden der Arme (10) des Befestigungsteils greifen, und daß in den Seitenteilen des Abschirmgehäuses (4) im Bereich der Arme des Befestigungsteils freigeschnittene Lappen (13) vorgesehen sind, die einwärts in Richtung zur Mitte des Befestigungsteils eingeprägt sind, wobei die Lappen (13) gegen die Unterkanten (17) der Arme gedrückt sind und das Befestigungsteil im Bereich der Flansche gegen die Innenseite des Abschirmgehäuses drücken.

Steckverbinder mit Befestigungsmitteln zur Befestigung an einer Befestigungsfläche einer Leiterplatte o. ä., wobei der Steckverbinder mit endseitigen Befestigungsflanschen versehen ist, in denen in einer Ausnehmung ein mit einem Gewinde versehenes Befestigungsteil angeordnet ist, und wobei der Steckverbinder ein den Steckverbinder-Isolierkörper umhüllendes, metallisches Abschirmgehäuse aufweist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Befestigungsteil (7) etwa T-förmig ausgebildet und aus elektrisch leitendem Material hergestellt ist, wobei dessen oberes Teil (8) rechteckig gestaltet ist und zwei gegenüberliegende Ausnehmungen (9) aufweist, so daß vier sich nach außen erstreckende Arme (10) ausgebildet sind, daß das Befestigungsteil (7) von oben her derart in die Ausnehmung (6) des jeweiligen Flansches eingelegt ist, daß sich die Arme (10) zu den Seiten des Steckverbinders (1) erstrecken, und wobei die Unterseite (14) des Befestigungsteils einen Abstand von der Unterseite des Steckverbinders (15) aufweist, daß das Abschirmgehäuse (4) über den Isolierkörper (3) gestülpt ist, wobei Seitenteile des Abschirmgehäuses bis über die Enden der Arme (10) des Befestigungsteils greifen, und daß in den Seitenteilen des Abschirmgehäuses (4) im Bereich der Arme des Befestigungsteils freigeschnittene Lappen (13') vorgesehen sind, die einwärts in Richtung zur Mitte des Befestigungsteils eingeprägt sind, wobei die freien Enden (19) der Lappen (13') gegen die Unterseite (20) der Arme (10) gedrückt sind und das Befestigungsteil im Bereich der Flansche gegen die Innenseite des Abschirmgehäuses drücken.
