Um ein derartiges Verkleben der Wimpern oder eine Brückenbildung zwischen einzelnen Wimpern zu verhinden, sollen derartige Mascara-Bürstchen neben einem guten Rückhalte- und Abgabevermögen für die Mascara-FTüssigkeit auch eine Kämmwirkung aufweisen. Zu diesem Zweck hat man bereits versucht lascara-Bürstchen mit unterschiedlichen Fasern bzw. unterschiedlich steife. Fasern auszustatten, wobei ein Teil dieser Fasern sich durch besonders günstige Transport eιόenschaften für die Mascara-Flüssigkeit und der andere Teil der Fasern durch vorteilhafte Kämmwirkungen auszeichnen sollte. Die durch eine solche Ausgestaltung theoretisch scheinbar erzielbaren Eigenschaften kommen in der Praxis aber in dieser Form nicht zum Tragen.
