Description

The present invention relates to a pavilion comprising a device making it possible to deploy it, especially when hoisted on top of a mast or support pole, in the absence of wind causing it to float noticeably in his plan.

It is easy to see that it is particularly desirable that the floating flag, fabric or other similar material which has no rigidity by itself, hoisted on top of a mast, can be fully deployed to allow viewing in colors, even inscriptions on its surface, even when the wind is nonexistent and does not alone does not allow this flag to float in his direction.

To ensure this deployment, a classic solution includes using a fixed stem horizontal, mounted at the top of the mast and extending perpendicular to the direction of it, the pavilion, usually rectangular in shape, being suspended under this gallows by being joined to it by its corresponding longitudinal side says swing, while that its lateral side called luff extends vertically along the mast.

This solution has the disadvantage of requiring for the implementation place and remove from the pavilion a nacelle or other medium, suitable for climbing as close to the mast as possible reach the gallows and fix the roof to it.

In a more sophisticated manner, provision has also been made for secure the pavilion to the ground to a support cross member, which keeps it deployed, this crosspiece comprising a central attachment for the end of the lifting halyard which passes over idler pulleys, one of which being mounted on the horizontal stem, the other to the angle of connection of the latter with the upper part mast, the halyard then being placed against this last to allow the ascent or descent of the pavilion with its crosspiece.

But this variant is complex and relatively expensive; in addition, it poses the risk that the halyard gets tangled at the right of its pulleys and the cross member does not move properly staying parallel to the gallows when the flag is hoisted.

However, this support, produced by means of a folded metal wire, has a complex profile, expensive to manufacture. In in addition, it is mounted outside the pavilion and is therefore visible, which has the disadvantage of being able at least partially hide any information or decorations carried by the surface of the pavilion.

The present invention relates to a pavilion comprising a very simple tensioning device in its design, inexpensive, easy to implement and which ensures the desired deployment in all circumstances, regardless in particular of the presence or the absence of wind and its direction.

To this end, the pavilion considered, comprising a floating delimited by a clapper and a luff, and a rigid reinforcement element capable of ensuring tension and the permanent deployment of the pavilion, this element of reinforcement comprising a guide collar surrounding a mast vertical on which the roof can be hoisted while moving according to the height of this mast, characterized in that the float comprises, in its surface, a means, continuous or discontinuous, extending transversely by float and allowing commitment to the interior of this means of the rigid reinforcement element, applied against the surface of the float so as to permanently maintain this extended, the end of the reinforcing element being located to the right of the luff substantially in the middle part of it and secured to a fixing bracket, carried by the collar guide.

In a preferred embodiment, the means provided in the surface of the float, in which the element of rigid reinforcement, consists of at least one hem or similar.

Preferably, the receiving hem of the element reinforcement extends approximately along a diagonal of the floating or parallel to its direction to form with the clapper and the luff a triangle whose the lower corner is located on a halyard or of the pavilion opposite a vertical mast of support.

Alternatively, the hem is substituted by a plurality neighboring rings capable of holding the reinforcing element rigid against the floating surface.

Advantageously, the reinforcing element is present under the shape of a thin and flat blade, made of a material plastic, metallic or other. Alternatively, this element may consist of a rigid and elongated rod.

Other characteristics of a pavilion comprising a device, established in accordance with the invention, will become more apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the appended drawing in which:
  • Figure 1 is a schematic elevational view of the device according to the invention.
  • Figure 2 is an enlarged view illustrating the detail of the guide collar.

In Figure 1, the reference 1 designates a pavilion or flag, generally rectangular as it is usual for this kind of article, this pavilion being made of fabric or the like, not presenting by itself no rigidity.

Le pavillon 1 est prévu pour être hissé en haut d'un mât vertical 2 dont l'extrémité inférieure est généralement ancrée directement dans le sol 3 ou par l'intermédiaire de tout support approprié (non représenté).Pavilion 1 is designed to be hoisted at the top of a mast vertical 2 whose lower end is generally anchored directly in the ground 3 or through any suitable support (not shown).

The movement of the flag along the mast is carried out by means of a lifting halyard 4, the end of which can be fixed to a hooking and immobilizing member 5, provided at the base of the mast 2 or else housed inside of it in case the halyard is associated with a anti-theft device, not directly accessible.

The halyard 4 passes at the top of the mast on a deflection pulley 6, fixed to the upper part of this mast under the head 7 of it, to allow to hoist or bring the flag in the usual way for this type of object.

If flag 1, hoisted at the top of the mast, is in a environment where the wind is zero, even very light, it collapses on itself, being only supported at the end of the halyard near the pulley 6, this which does not allow you to see its colors or inscriptions it may include, especially when it is an advertising pavilion.

To overcome this drawback and in accordance with the invention is provided transversely in the surface float 8 of the roof, at least one hem 9, allowing to engage inside of it, a reinforcement element 10 intended to keep deployed the surface of this float, even in the absence of wind at level of the top of the mast.

Hem 9 can be continuous or discontinuous. Alternatively, the hem can be replaced by separate rings, sewn from place to place on the float surface and arranged at a suitable distance from each other, these rings receiving the reinforcing element 10, or even by any other similar means which makes it possible to maintain this element against this surface. So the reinforcing element could be stapled or otherwise attached to the roof.

The reinforcing element 10 can be formed in the form of a thin and flat blade, nevertheless having a sufficient rigidity. This blade can be made in any suitable material, in particular plastic, wood or metal. You can also use a rod, metallic or not.

The reinforcing element 10, engaged in its hem 9, is secured to the upper corner of the float 8, at the end of it opposite mast 2, at the end of the side corresponding or flying 11 of the flag, by means of a connecting clip 12, the details of which do not matter the invention.

At its opposite end, near the luff 13 of the floating 8, the reinforcing element 10 is fixed on a stirrup 14, secured at the end of a guide collar 15 (Figure 2), which is arranged to freely surround the vertical mast 2 while guiding the roof by relative to it, when hoisted or brought up.

Advantageously, the halyard can also be fixed to the lower point 16 floating at the lower end of the luff 13.

In the embodiment shown, the pavilion has a single hem 9 arranged across the floating 8, so as to form a triangle with the connecting clip 12 at the end of the leaf 11 and the stirrup 14 of the collar 15, to the right of the luff 13. In this case, the end of the reinforcing element 10 housed in the hem 9, fixed on the stirrup 14, is disposed more or less near the middle of the height of this luff.

Of course, in other variants, provision may be made for keep in the floating several hems of the same kind, parallel or not, each of them containing a reinforcement element 10 as described above.

This produces a tensioning and deployment of a pavilion, making it possible to maintain it with its surface extended in any position, by the simple play of the forces exerted, both by the traction due to the halyard only by the flag's own weight.

The use of a guide collar comprising a bracket for fixing the end of the element reinforcement, also allows to maintain the flag in permanently near the mast, in particular avoiding any lateral offset.

In addition, although the example described has more specially considered the presence of a hem to mount and apply the rigid reinforcement element against the pavilion area, other equivalent solutions, consisting in particular of sticking or otherwise report this item on the float to keep it extended.
