Abstract

2. A locking bar according to claim 1 characterised in that the actuating member (4) is of a U-shaped configuration in cross-section in the region of connection to the locking bar (1) and with its side limbs (7) laterally embraces the locking bar (1).
3. A locking bar according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the actuating member (4) is provided with a plurality of arresting projections (8) which engage into an angular opening (9) in the locking bar (1).

A locking bar according to one or more of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the retaining openings (10) are disposed in the region of a T-shaped depression (12) in a bar element (1a) and the retaining projection portions (11) are arranged in the region of the end of the other bar element (1a), said end being of a correspondingly T-shaped configuration.

A locking bar according to claim 4 characterised in that the end of a bar element which is of a T-shaped configuration is provided with a nose (13) which projects in the direction of the longitudinal axis and which in the locking condition engages into an orifice (14) in the corresponding region of the other bar element (1a).
6. A locking bar according to one or more of the preceding claims characterised in that the actuating member (4) and/or the bar elements (1a) are each integrally made from plastics material.

A locking bar according to one or more of the preceding claims characterised in that the actuating member (4) is provided with a limb (15) which is integrally formed thereon and which like a slot (16) arranged within said limb (15) extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the locking bar (1) and at a spacing relative thereto and is connected to the actuating member (4) by way of a desired-rupture location (17).
