Definitions
- the invention relates to a grid plate for fastening natural ground according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a grid plate is described in EP 516 957 A1.
- the grid plate is used to fasten natural ground to support the greening of surfaces.
- the grid plate has a bottom and to this one-piece side walls which form upwardly open chambers in the form of regular polygons. Regular hexagons are preferred, but other shapes, for example squares, can also be used.
- the floor has water drainage openings.
- the base At the edges, but at least at one edge of the grid plate, the base also has projections for engaging the corresponding edge of the base of an adjacent, similar grid plate.
- a large number of surface-mounted grid plates thus forms a stabilizing and passable support for natural ground. Soil can be filled and planted in the chambers, with the grass roots rooting in the subsoil through the water drainage openings.
- the chambers are designed on the edge side as partial compartments which, in the assembled state of two identical grid plates, are supplemented to form closed chambers by corresponding laterally open, complementary peripheral chamber sections of the adjacent grid plate.
- the side walls of these lattice panels forming these partial chambers only touch along their vertical abutting edges.
- the grid plate described in the cited document has the disadvantage of an edge region which is only weakly resilient compared to the inner area of the grid plate. This is due to the fact that the mutual locking of two adjacent lattice panels takes place only via the horizontal tabs of the base part which mutually extend under the respective neighboring panel, as a result of which all lateral forces and punctual compressive forces in the edge region can only be absorbed by these tabs or projections. If the load is very high, for example when driving over the grid plate with a truck, this can result in the projections of the floor breaking.
- a grid plate 1 is shown on the left and a grid plate 1 'on the right.
- the third grid plate on top is not labeled.
- Both grid plates 1 and 1 ' each have a bottom 2 or 2 ', which contains water drain openings, not shown.
- the inner region of both grid plates is designed in a conventional manner, that is to say with the base 2 or 2 ', side walls 3 or 3' are formed which form upwardly open chambers in the form of regular hexagons.
- both grid plates 1 and 1 ' have projections 4 and 4', respectively, with a projection being assigned to each next but one chamber on the edge.
- the projections 4 and 4 ' engage alternately under the bottom 2' and 2 of the adjacent grid plate 1 'and 1, respectively.
- the chambers are designed on the edge side as partial chambers which are open at the side, partial chambers alternating with four corners or two corners of the hexagon to be formed.
- the flat 25 is formed as an approximately right-angled bend 6 or 6 'of the side wall 27 or 27' of the two grid plates 1 and 1 'to form an L-shape. Since the flats 25 are formed by bends 6 and 6 'in the same direction of rotation and the flats 25 are to lie on top of one another according to the invention it is necessary that the associated side walls 27 and 27 'with the adjoining side walls 3 of the same partial chamber enclose an angle deviating from the corner angle of the regular hexagon (120 °). Here, the corner angle to the adjoining side wall 3 is somewhat enlarged in one side wall 27, and this corner angle is somewhat reduced in the other side wall 27 '. As a result, the flats 25 of both side walls 27 and 27 'can lie flat on one another.
- the bends are each made of two complementary side walls of adjacent grid plates in different directions of rotation.
- the angles of the corresponding side walls to the adjoining side walls of the same partial chamber remain constant at (in the hexagon) 120 °.
- FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the invention.
- the side walls 7 and 7 ' have end walls 8 and 8' standing at right angles on them and forming a T-shape with them.
- the corner angles within the supplemented hexagon remain at 120 °.
- the complementing side walls 17 and 17 ' are provided with acute-angled bends 9 and 9' and have an obtuse angle in their course from the associated corner point of the hexagon to this acute-angled bend 9 and 9 ' , opposite bend 12 or 12 '.
- the additional flats are so small compared to the grid plates with closed edge-side chambers that the risk of the soil and stones slipping in during laying is very low.
- the grid plates according to the invention thus ensure both quick and uncomplicated installation and high stability.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a grid plate for fastening natural ground according to the preamble of
Such a grid plate is described in EP 516 957 A1. According to this, such a grid plate is used to fasten natural ground to support the greening of surfaces. For this purpose, the grid plate has a bottom and to this one-piece side walls which form upwardly open chambers in the form of regular polygons. Regular hexagons are preferred, but other shapes, for example squares, can also be used. The floor has water drainage openings. At the edges, but at least at one edge of the grid plate, the base also has projections for engaging the corresponding edge of the base of an adjacent, similar grid plate. A large number of surface-mounted grid plates thus forms a stabilizing and passable support for natural ground. Soil can be filled and planted in the chambers, with the grass roots rooting in the subsoil through the water drainage openings.
In the case of the grid plate described in the cited document, the chambers are designed on the edge side as partial compartments which, in the assembled state of two identical grid plates, are supplemented to form closed chambers by corresponding laterally open, complementary peripheral chamber sections of the adjacent grid plate. Here, the side walls of these lattice panels forming these partial chambers only touch along their vertical abutting edges. This has the advantage over the grid plates which have been known for some time, in which the edge-side chambers are closed, that the edges of adjacent grid plates do not lie on one another over a large area and thus hinder the laying of the grid plates by the flow of soil or stones into this space.
However, the grid plate described in the cited document has the disadvantage of an edge region which is only weakly resilient compared to the inner area of the grid plate.
It is therefore the task of developing such a grid plate in such a way that it has a significantly increased stability in the edge region for absorbing lateral forces and punctual pressure forces.
This object is achieved with the characterizing features of

In Figure 1, a
In a manner known per se, the edges of both
While in the known lattice panels the abutting edges of the
From Figure 1 it can be seen that in the embodiment shown there, the flat 25 is formed as an approximately right-angled bend 6 or 6 'of the
In an alternative embodiment, not shown, the bends are each made of two complementary side walls of adjacent grid plates in different directions of rotation. In this embodiment, the angles of the corresponding side walls to the adjoining side walls of the same partial chamber remain constant at (in the hexagon) 120 °.
Die Eckwinkel innerhalb des ergänzten randseitigen Sechsecks bleiben hierbei bei 120° bestehen.FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the invention. In the upper region of FIG. 2, the
10'.In the further embodiment shown in FIG. 3 below, the complementing
It is common to all four embodiments that the ends of the
On the other hand, the additional flats are so small compared to the grid plates with closed edge-side chambers that the risk of the soil and stones slipping in during laying is very low. The grid plates according to the invention thus ensure both quick and uncomplicated installation and high stability.
