Definitions
- the present invention relates to a radiant tube heating device associated with a blowing installation.
- heating by radiant tube consists of heating an infrared radiation emitter which, associated with reflectors, makes it possible to "light up” an area in which any surface exposed to the radiation absorbs this radiation and heats up. It is thus possible to create in the lit area, a rise in temperature of the atmosphere.
- One of the drawbacks of this type of heating is that any area “in the shade” relative to the direction of the radiation remains cool.
- the present invention is an improvement to this mixed equipment which allows in addition to the recycling of the hot air stagnating under the roof or the ceiling of the room, to entrain the layers of air which are directly in contact with the reflectors of the radiant tube, therefore the hottest, and this while preserving the stability of the atmosphere around the radiant tube in order to avoid as much as possible convection at this level tending to make its temperature and operation unstable.
- the invention therefore relates to a heating device comprising at least one radiant tube housed under a reflector and an air propulsion device comprising a distribution tube, a plurality of blowing nozzles distributed along the distributor tube and extending through the reflector near the radiant tube and a supply fan located at one end of the distributor tube above the reflector.
- the reflector comprises at the location of each nozzle a sleeve in which the corresponding nozzle is housed with clearance so as to create an annular air passage channel coming from the upper surface of the reflector and opening under the reflector beyond the radiant tube.
- the radiant tube is in the form of a pin and the sleeves are arranged between the branches of the pin.
- the distributor tube is spaced from the reflector so that the hot air stagnating above this reflector can be entrained without hindrance by the air blown through the nozzles.
- the device shown comprises a radiant tube 1, here in the form of a pin, with two branches 1 a , 1 b and housed in a reflector 2 for example made of polished stainless steel sheet.
- the free end of the branch 1 a is connected to a burner 3, for example of gas, housed in a technical cabinet 4 which also includes, opposite the free end of the branch 1 b, a gas extraction device 5 burned.
- the flame produced by the burner 3 extends inside the branch 1a ; it is a long flame which allows the radiant tube to be brought to an average temperature of 310 ° C.
- the upper wall of the reflectors 2 is provided with sleeves 6 regularly distributed along the radiant tube between the two branches 1 a and 1 b of the pin.
- Each of the sleeves 6 opens onto the upper surface of the reflector through an opening 7 and its length is such that the other opening 8 of this sleeve is located beyond the radiant tube.
- the device of the invention also comprises a blowing installation 9 which is shown detached and distant from the radiant tube and its reflector 2 in FIG. 1.
- This blowing installation comprises a distributor tube 10 closed at its end 11 and connected by its other end to a box 12 having an integrated fan 13.
- the length of the tube 10 is substantially identical to that of the radiant tube 1 and this tube has nozzles 14 for blowing the air powered by the fan 13.
- the distribution and number of blowing nozzles 14 along the tube 10 are identical to the distribution and the number of sleeves 6 which equip the reflector 2 so that when the device is mounted to be in service as shown in FIG. 2, each of the nozzles 14 penetrates inside the sleeves 6.
- Each nozzle 14 defines with the sleeve 6 an annular channel 15 when the installation supply air and the radiant heating installation are associated.
- the figures do not include the means known in themselves for associating the heating installation with the radiant tube. It will be noted that this tube is, in service, spaced from the reflector 2 so that a space between them is free of any obstacle to the flow of air that it is desired to obtain above the reflector 2. It will be noted also in FIG. 2 that the section of the tube 10 is not circular unlike that of the tube 10 of FIG. 1, to illustrate the fact that the shape of this section can be adapted according to the desired esthetics and the means coupling the elements together.
- the air intake 13a of the fan 13 is connected either to a tube the end of which is at a high point in the room enabling the warmest air to be sucked in, or, if hygienic conditions require it, to an air intake tube outside the building.
- This air is then ejected by the nozzles 14 inside the sleeves 6 and induces an air entrainment in the annular space 15 due to the vacuum created in this space by the circulation of air in the blowing nozzles.
- the end of the blowing nozzles 14 will preferably be inside the sleeve 6, the distance separating this end from the opening 8 of the sleeve 6 having an influence on the importance of the effect d air in the annular channel 15.
- this arrangement allows to drain and orient down the hottest layers of air, that is to say those which are immediately adjacent to the reflector 2. This improves significantly the effect due to the blowing of air added to the radiation effect.
- the induced air circulation being correctly channeled, it does not disturb the atmosphere immediately adjacent to the branches 1a and 1b of the radiant tube therefore does not add or little convection in the vicinity of this tube which could disturb its state thermal equilibrium.
