  • the present invention relates to improvements made to packages made up of two elements assembled with each other in any way and it relates more particularly to a member facilitating the separation of said elements from one another in order to have access to the contents of the packaging.
  • skinpack Another very common packaging, usually called “skinpack”, consists of a cardboard plate generally micro-perforated or the like on which there is at least one article, then a sheet of transparent flexible plastic material is placed on top of the aforementioned assembly and is applied under vacuum thereto after heating. The covering sheet then exactly matches all the contours of the object placed on the support and the heating produces its welding on the latter.
  • the improvements which are the subject of the present invention aim to remedy these drawbacks and to allow the production of a system facilitating the separation of the two elements of a package having a structure as defined above.

  • FIG. 1 Illustrated in FIG. 1 a package comprising application of the improvements according to the invention and produced in the form of a "blister", that is to say comprising first of all a support 1 produced in the form of a panel of plasticized cardboard or of plastic. It also comprises a covering sheet 2 provided with a shell 2 a in which provision is made for enclosing any article and with a flange 2 b surrounding the shell, arranged in the same plane and intended to be welded to the support 1 To this end and in a manner well known per se, the welding is carried out by means of a bead 2 c formed by means of an electrode of suitable shape. Since this technique is well known, the production of the packaging in question will not be described any further.
  • the flange 2 b is produced a protrusion 2 d , for example produced in the form of a dome, as illustrated in FIG. 2.
  • This protuberance can be produced at the same time as the shell, generally by thermoforming. It will be noted that the base of the dome is located in an angle of the surround 2b and a short distance from the outer edge of the rim 2b .
  • the weld bead 2 c is divided into two branches 2 ′ c , 2 " c , the latter partially surrounding the protrusion or dome 2 d outside, that is to say that is to say in the immediate vicinity of the corresponding edge of the angle of the surround 2 b, the other branch 2 ′ c bypasses the protrusion or dome 2 d from the inside.
  • branch 2 ' c is more important than that of branch 2 " c for reasons which will be better explained below (see Fig. 3).
  • the user takes possession of it and when he wishes to have access to the article enclosed by the shell 2 a , he only has to press vigorously on the dome 2 d to burst, so that it then constitutes a gripping tab allowing easy tearing of the sheet 2 relative to the plate 1. It is obvious that the interior volume of the protrusion or dome 2 d is isolated from the exterior, so that its crushing must necessarily destroy one of the branches of the weld 2 c .
  • the crushing of the dome 2 d causes the destruction of this branch 2" c being located towards the outside, so that practically all of this dome constitutes the aforementioned grip tab.
  • the height of the shell 2 a is less than that of the dome 2 d (Fig. 4), provision can be made to make a dome 2 d on at least three areas of the surround 2 d so that their vertices determine a plan on which another packaging of the same type can rest.
  • the plane in question is advantageously, but not exclusively, parallel to that of the plate 1.
  • the formation of the protrusion 2 d is obtained by placing, before application of the sheet 2 by vacuum on the support 1, a bulky breakable organ 3 (Fig. 5) or the like which would be fragmented or destroyed or flattened during crushing of the protrusion 2 d produced thanks to the presence of this member 3.
  • the crushing of this protrusion also causes the constitution of a gripping tab making it possible to separate the sheet 2 relative to the support 1.
