Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for continuous surface treatment, in particular for pickling and cleaning strips, for example metal strips, in particular steel strips, in a treatment chamber, the web running in an approximately horizontal path through the treatment chamber and a treatment liquid, in particular pickling liquid, being fed to the treatment chamber becomes.
- the invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method.
- the aim of the present invention is to increase the treatment effectiveness, especially in the case of pickling, in order to significantly reduce the length of the apparatus or apparatus costs for a corresponding system or to reduce the treatment temperature and thereby the operating costs.
- the invention is therefore characterized in that the surface to be treated is exposed to an increased shear force to the treatment liquid, in particular pickling liquid. This increased shear force reduces the liquid boundary layer on the strip surface, which results in an increased pickling effect and the pickling time is reduced.

This increased shear force reduces the liquid boundary layer, which results in an increased pickling effect.
- a favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the devices have an area with a continuously narrowing cross-section when viewed in the direction of tape travel.
- This constricting cross-section which has, for example, the shape of a Venturi nozzle, allows a good swirling of the liquid and thus a Increase in pickling intensity can be caused.
- the belt is centered in height by means of such a device, in particular also centered in the Venturi module, thereby avoiding contact with the ground and the associated generation of scratches on the belt surface.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that nozzles are provided in the area of the devices for introducing in particular fresh treatment liquid. If treatment liquid is injected in the area of the devices, on the one hand the liquid is swirled through even more, whereby on the other hand the acid, which is particularly fresh, is rapidly brought up to the strip, which causes an increased pickling intensity.
- a favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the nozzles are arranged after the device, as seen in the direction of travel of the belt, and these can also, if necessary additionally, be arranged before or in the device.
- the treatment medium is supplied in an area of increased fluid which is swirled through, an injection in front of the device in this area causing additional swirling and thus improved pickling intensity.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for continuous surface treatment, in particular for pickling and cleaning strips, for example metal strips, in particular steel strips, in a treatment chamber, the web running in an approximately horizontal path through the treatment chamber and a treatment liquid, in particular pickling liquid, being fed to the treatment chamber becomes. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method.
Various systems for surface treatment, in particular pickling, of continuously moving belts are known, the belts being guided essentially horizontally through the container and the treatment medium. The treatment medium, in particular pickling acid, is generally supplied at the entry or exit of the strip from the treatment chamber, which additionally seals the treatment chamber from the environment and also laterally into the treatment chamber. All of these systems, however, have an insufficient pickling effect, which means that a given throughput quantity with corresponding quality requirements usually requires quite long and correspondingly expensive devices.
The aim of the present invention is to increase the treatment effectiveness, especially in the case of pickling, in order to significantly reduce the length of the apparatus or apparatus costs for a corresponding system or to reduce the treatment temperature and thereby the operating costs.
The invention is therefore characterized in that the surface to be treated is exposed to an increased shear force to the treatment liquid, in particular pickling liquid. This increased shear force reduces the liquid boundary layer on the strip surface, which results in an increased pickling effect and the pickling time is reduced.
A further development of the method according to the invention is characterized in that fresh treatment liquid, in particular pickling liquid, is supplied in the area of application of the increased shear force and the treatment liquid is swirled in this area. The The supply of the treatment liquid, in particular the pickling acid, directly in the area of the application of the increased shear force and in the most swirled liquid area ensures a rapid introduction of the pickling acid to the belt, which causes a further increased pickling intensity.
A favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the amount of the treated liquid is regulated, whereby the amount of treatment liquid supplied can be regulated alone or in combination with the quantity. By varying the amount and / or the temperature of the pickling medium, the pickling effect can be varied according to the requirements.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the surface to be treated is fixed in position by the treatment liquid, in particular centered in devices for increasing the shear force. Due to the fixation, in particular centering, of the belt, ground contact and the associated generation of scratches in the belt can be avoided.
The invention also relates to a device for continuous surface treatment, in particular for pickling and cleaning strips, for example metal strips, in particular steel strips, with a treatment chamber, the web running through the treatment chamber in an approximately horizontal path, and is primarily characterized in that in particular several devices in the treatment chamber, in particular pickling tub, are provided which achieve an increase in the shear force between the belt and the treatment liquid. This increased shear force reduces the liquid boundary layer, which results in an increased pickling effect.
A favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the devices have an area with a continuously narrowing cross-section when viewed in the direction of tape travel. This constricting cross-section, which has, for example, the shape of a Venturi nozzle, allows a good swirling of the liquid and thus a Increase in pickling intensity can be caused. Furthermore, the belt is centered in height by means of such a device, in particular also centered in the Venturi module, thereby avoiding contact with the ground and the associated generation of scratches on the belt surface.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that nozzles are provided in the area of the devices for introducing in particular fresh treatment liquid. If treatment liquid is injected in the area of the devices, on the one hand the liquid is swirled through even more, whereby on the other hand the acid, which is particularly fresh, is rapidly brought up to the strip, which causes an increased pickling intensity.
A favorable further development of the invention is characterized in that the nozzles are arranged after the device, as seen in the direction of travel of the belt, and these can also, if necessary additionally, be arranged before or in the device. By arranging the nozzles after the device, the treatment medium is supplied in an area of increased fluid which is swirled through, an injection in front of the device in this area causing additional swirling and thus improved pickling intensity. An arrangement of the nozzles in the device supports the hydrodynamic effect of the device and prevents the belt from touching the device even at low speeds. Especially a combination of all arrangements leads to an optimal pickling intensity.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the nozzles are arranged below the material web, wherein the nozzles can alternatively or in combination be arranged above the material web. The nozzles can have openings pointing in the direction of tape travel or openings pointing in the direction of tape travel. The pickling effect can also be influenced favorably by a suitable arrangement and alignment of the nozzles.
A favorable development of the invention is characterized in that at least one discharge line for treatment liquid is provided, which is connected to nozzles for supplying treatment liquid at at least one point in the treatment chamber. With this embodiment of the invention, an additional acid cycle can be achieved, by means of which the pickling can be optimized.
An advantageous development of the invention is characterized in that at least one pump is connected between the discharge line and the supply line. By regulating a pump, the circulating volume can be adjusted accordingly and the exit speed from the nozzles can be adjusted accordingly for an optimal pickling effect.
A favorable embodiment of the invention is characterized in that at least one heat supply device, in particular a heat exchanger, is connected between the discharge and supply of the treatment liquid. By arranging a heat exchanger in the additional acid circuit, the temperature distribution in the pickling tank can be influenced particularly well, in particular a strong equalization of the temperature can be achieved.
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows a pickling section according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a section from FIG. 1, FIGS. 2a, 2b and FIG. 3 shows an analog section from FIG. 1, FIG 4a the pressure distribution in the area of a device provided according to the invention, FIG. 4b the speed distribution in the area of a device provided according to the invention, FIG. 5 shows the flow in the area of a device provided according to the invention.
