• the present invention relates to a storage and transport con ⁇ tainer made of a polymeric material and especially intended for mercantile goods.
• Storage and transport containers made of polymeric materials normally comprise a bottom part, four upwards directed side ⁇ walls and an upper opening for goods optionally covered by a lid or the like. These containers normally have standardised inner and outer measures. Folding and collapsible containers have recently in order to minimise the space occupied by empty containers during return transportation and during storage, been developed.
• a folding container is disclosed in i.a. DE-G 78 36 695. This container comprises a bottom part, two opposite rigid walls, two opposite hinged walls and an upper rim.
