Abstract

The stocking is made from two filaments - polyamide and elasthane, formed into linked loops in a single weaving operation without the use of special chemicals. The two filaments are joined together in double loops, with the elasthane tending to draw the loops together. The resulting material is more compact and supple to the touch.

L'élasticité acquise de ce système pour créer la maille comporte, cependant, un handicap considérable : la maille qui file.

  • a) obligatoirement engagée dans un parcours fractionné et non rectiligne;
  • b) comme sur le schéma D, il existe des hauteurs différenciées des mailles qui ont, pour conséquence, des rétrécissements des formes à bouches sur l'inter-maille. (voir schéma D - Pl. IV/6)

Bien qu'ayant atteint un bon niveau d'indémaillabilité, puisque l'ouverture du canal étroit sur l'inter-maille freine, à cause du frottement majeur, la dynamique du fil, ce produit présente un bas coefficient d'élasticité. Un autre inconvénient du filet susmentionné est dû au toucher du tissu, très crépu, en comparaison avec la maille lisse.These selections, which are arranged in a checkerboard pattern, slow down spinning because:
