Date Oct. 13, 1994Revolving door having at least four variable length door wings extending radially into a passageway, and being offset from one another in the direction of rotation about a central axis. Each door wing includes at least two sliding door elements slidingly movable relative to each other to vary the radial length of the door wings. Each door wing has a pivot axis disposed radially outwardly from the central axis. Adjacent door wings are pivotable about their respective pivot axes from an operating position in which the door wings extend radially into the passageway to an open position in which the sliding door elements slide relative to each other to shorten the radial length and unblock the passageway.

Description

The invention relates to a revolving door according to the preamble of claim 1.

Revolving or revolving doors are considered a particularly representative, eye-catching solution for an entrance passage in a building. These revolving or revolving doors can be installed on the front outside a facade wall, inside or in the middle of the wall.

They form a passage with arcuate drum walls on the left and right at the entrance, between which a rotor rotates.

A generic revolving door has become known from GB-A-187 740. This revolving door comprises four door leaves that are offset by 90 ° in the circumferential direction. In the normal operating position, all four door leaves are aligned radially, so that the door leaves are opposite each other to their swivel axis in the area of the central axis-free, non-rotating axis that penetrates the passage passage. or axis of symmetry come to rest. In order, for example, to clear the passage way as generously as possible in the event of danger, two door leaves can be pivoted towards each other in pairs and thus pivoted onto the lateral outer walls of the passage delimiting the passage way.

A largely similar revolving door has become known from US-A-1 202 801. This previously known revolving door comprises four door leaves arranged at 90 ° to one another and having an external pivot axis. In order to clear the passage in the event of panic, it is possible for the individual door leaves to be pivoted one after the other in the direction of escape about their external pivot axis.

The object of the present invention is therefore to create an improved revolving door.

The object is achieved according to the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The present invention also provides an aesthetically very appealing solution for clearing a wide passage in the event of panic or also in the case of goods being transported through the revolving door. According to the invention it is provided that the door leaves consist of sliding door elements. This opens up the possibility of the effective length of the individual door leaves being shortened when pivoting outward while releasing the passage passage path, by moving the sliding door elements towards one another. This also prevents the door panels pivoted in the open position from overlapping, as in the prior art.

Basically is from DE-B 161 780 and DE-B 164 248 a revolving door also became known. However, these known revolving doors deal with a completely different problem. According to these prior publications, it is provided that at the inlet and outlet of the passage path formed by the revolving door, the door leaves can be folded around an external pivot axis in the closed position. In other words, the pivoting wings then act as conventional swing doors at the inlet and outlet of the revolving door passage section. For this purpose, the double doors are divided into two. Each door leaf consists of two articulated and hinged individual leaves, the shorter door leaf section can be folded so that at the inlet and outlet of the passage way these door leaves can then be used as conventional swing doors. The passage way is thereby closed by two pairs of swing doors lying one behind the other and is not released and opened in the sense of the invention.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the respectively interacting pairs of double doors are coupled to one another and are jointly adjustable between their open position and their operation which enables the revolving door to operate normally.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the inner sliding door elements in the closed position are each coupled to a cooperating pair of wing doors, for example articulatedly coupled. This opens up the possibility that each of the two interacting pairs can be pivoted between their closed and their release positions by means of a single drive, preferably located in the coupling area.

To increase stability, the ends of the door leaves in the central and symmetry axis areas can be designed such that when the door leaves are closed, their free ends at least interlock and support each other.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is further provided that the outer sliding door elements, which are offset to the outside with respect to the central or symmetry axis, follow a curved path of any kind in a wide area during one revolution of the revolving door. In other words, the outer boundary edge of the sliding doors is automatically or purposefully controlled in the radial direction and extended again during a revolution. This results in the previously unimagined possibility that the wing length is changed overall during one rotation. The desired course of the curve of the outer edge of the swing door construction is thus achieved by a corresponding superimposition of the rotational movement of the wings with a corresponding radial retraction and extension movement of the swing door elements. This does not result in the surprising possibility a passage passage way formed in the manner of a cylinder, but to form, for example, a straight passage route.

It is also possible, however, to avoid the so-called shear edge effect based on this principle. For this purpose, the respective or the respective sliding doors of a wing are retracted inwards in such a way that there is a sufficiently large safety distance for a partial revolution between the outer edge of the sliding door that lies too far and the inlet edge of the beginning passage boundary wall, which eliminates any risk of jamming reduced to zero.

The revolving door is installed in a passage passage 1 to form two opposite inlet openings 3a and 3b and, in the exemplary embodiment shown, has two lateral passage boundary walls 5 which are offset by 180 ° to the two inlet openings 3a and 3b, which in the exemplary embodiment shown are curved drum walls in plan view are trained.

What is known per se and is not shown in the drawing is that for example on a housing opening on the outside of the inlet opening 3a, part-circular door elements can be provided, which, when the revolving door is released, pivoted in its outward direction Position and in the closed position are pivoted towards each other, so that the actual inlet opening 3a is closed in a drum shape.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the revolving or revolving door shown comprises a rotor or a rotor arrangement which rotates about its central or symmetry axis 9 which is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. The rotor 7 is, however, designed in the region of the central or symmetry axis 9 to allow a free passage path without an axle body.

It can be seen from this that, for example, a rotor cross 14, which is supported by rollers 12 and can be driven by a drive device 16, is rotated on the two passage boundary walls 5 while resting on a circular path 10 above the inlet openings 3a and 3b, the drive unit 16, for example can be supported and held by a support structure 18 on a ceiling 20.

For example, in the floor area - which will be discussed further below - a support plate 22 which rotates with the wings can be installed in the floor in the central center section, with the door wings being supported centrally in their closed state.

In the embodiment, the revolving device of the revolving door comprises, i.e. the rotor arrangement four wings 15 which are offset by 90 ° in the circumferential direction and which are also referred to below as wing doors 15.

The wing doors 15 are each around an outside Pivot axis 17 is arranged pivotably. The pivot axis 17 can be formed at a short distance from the outer drum wall with the rotor rotating on a vertically extending door bracket 19.

Finally, it can also be seen from FIG. 1 that each of the wings or the wing doors 15 is designed as a sliding door which comprises two sliding door elements 15 'and 15 "which can be moved relative to one another. The two sliding door elements 15' and 15" can be moved from their in FIG shown maximum longitudinal extension position can be adjusted in a retracted position shown in Figure 3 having a shorter overall length.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the outer sliding door element 15 'which can be pivoted about the pivot axis 17 is provided with an inner pocket-shaped receiving space 20, in which the radially inner sliding door element 15' 'can be telescopically extended and retracted.

Schließlich sind im gezeigten Ausführunsbeispiel jeweils zwei radial innenliegende Schiebetürelemente 15" eines zusammenwirkenden Paares von Flügeltüren 15 miteinander verbunden oder gekoppelt, beispielsweise über eine Gelenkverbindung 21.Finally, in the exemplary embodiment shown, two radially inner sliding door elements 15 ″ of a cooperating pair of wing doors 15 are connected or coupled to one another, for example via an articulated connection 21.

As can also be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3, in particular on the articulated connection 21, at least indirectly or at another suitable location, a drive 23 for adjusting the wing doors can be attached or attached to at least one of the wing doors 15 interacting in pairs. In the exemplary embodiment shown, this is preferably arranged in the direction of the bisector of two interacting wing doors 15, which can also rotate with the entire rotor arrangement and the wings is mounted. The drive and transmission device or linkage 23 'is thus rotated by 45 ° to the crosswise aligned door leaves 15.

In normal use and operation, the wing doors 15 are in their closed position shown in FIG. 1. A passer-by can enter the open chamber facing him via the inlet opening 3a and then, e.g. counterclockwise rotating revolving door to cross the passage in a known manner with the chamber rotating continuously.

However, if, for example, as shown in FIG. 3, goods are to be transported through the revolving door, for example a new car is to be driven into an exhibition space, the revolving doors 15 in can be opened when the revolving door is at a standstill, i.e. the rotor is not rotating and thus the revolving doors are not rotating their opening position shown in Figure 3 are pivoted. The pivoting preferably takes place in the alignment position shown in FIG. 3, in which two pivot axes 19 of two wing doors 15 each lie adjacent to the inlet openings 3a, 3b (FIG. 3).

By means of the switchable drive 23, for example, the pivoting doors 15 shown in FIG. 3, adjacent to the passage boundary wall 5 on the left in FIG. 3, are pivoted towards one another. At the same time, the outer hinged door elements 15 ″, which are coupled to one another and displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the hinged doors 15, are moved into the respective outer sliding door element 15 ′. The total pivoting takes place in FIG of the two wing doors 15 interacting in pairs preferably in aligned with each other.

The adjustment process is preferably carried out simultaneously and correspondingly with respect to the two cooperating wing doors 15 lying on the right in FIGS. 1 and 3.

In the final opening position, the free passage shown in FIG. 3 is thereby achieved. The two wing doors 15 located adjacent to the left passage boundary wall 5 come to lie in parallel alignment with the two cooperating wing doors 15 located adjacent to the right passage boundary wall 5, which results in a straight passage passage.

Only for the sake of completeness is it noted that the wing doors can of course be pivoted further beyond the illustration shown in FIG. 3 to the outer passage boundary walls 5. However, since the narrowest passage is limited by the distance between two pivot axes 17 or the pivot lugs 19 adjacent to the inlet openings 3a or 3b, this would only increase the central passage area, which is not absolutely necessary.

In Figure 2 is shown only schematically that the drive 23 and the transmission device or the drive linkage 23 'can be mounted lying above a carousel cover 27, the carousel cover 27 being arranged directly above the upper limit of the door leaf 15 and with the rotates entire rotor device. This carousel cover 27 can also serve as a further support and support device for the door leaf 15. In Figure 2 it is only shown schematically that also in the area of the opposite end of the pivot axis 17 of the door leaf in the area of the upper carousel cover 27 also an additional guide and support function can be provided (in FIG. 2, for example, on the basis of a guide roller which engages in a groove in the carousel cover, which is not shown in any more detail), via which the pivoting movement of the carousel door from the normal operating position shown in FIG. 1 to the open position shown in FIG. and load capacities can be carried out. For example, a longitudinal slot or a longitudinal joint can be provided in the revolving door cover 27 along and, for example, below the transmission and drive device 23 ', through which a driver or transmission bolt 24 (FIG. 2) protrudes downward from the drive device and projects with the door leaf is preferably connected in the inner region (in FIG. 2, the driving pin 24 engages the inner end region of the inner sliding door element 15 '). By moving the driver 24 radially outward, the two interacting wing doors are then pivoted into their open position. This also shows that the aforementioned radial joint penetrated by the driving pin 24 should at least extend to the outside to such an extent that it extends to a degree connecting the respective pivot axes 17 of the interacting wing doors. By actuating the drive in the opposite direction, the door leaves are taken into their normal operating position.

The driving connection can also be made, for example, via the drive 23 in such a way that a belt running along the path 23 (transmission device 23) is used, the driving bolt being fastened to one strand of the belt. Depending on the direction of movement of the drive belt in the open or closed position, the adjustment movement of the doors in the closed or open position is effected in accordance with the alternating feed movement of the belt.

The revolving door explained can also be used advantageously in the event of a panic, as explained with reference to FIG. 4.

If, for example, a large number of people want to escape in a panic case from the inside of the building via the inlet opening 3b to the outside of the housing, then in a corresponding basic position of the revolving door, the wing doors 15 interacting in pairs could be pivoted back into the opening position shown in FIG. 3.

If there are still people in each of the chambers 29 running adjacent to the passage boundary walls 5, an additional escape door 25 is provided in the passage boundary wall 5 for such a case, which can be opened from the inside at any time in order to otherwise close it To leave the chamber.

In a departure from the exemplary embodiment shown, wing doors 15 could also be formed not only with two, but possibly also with three sliding door elements which can be displaced in their longitudinal direction relative to one another.

As is evident from the previous description, after the motorized reversal of the door leaves in the open position, they are also held in their open position according to FIG. 3 by the motor drive. Moreover, this opens up the possibility that with a further rotational movement by 90 ° in relation to the illustration in FIG. 3, ie generally in a position rotated by 90 ° to FIG. 3, the door leaves are pivoted in one plane and preferably lie flush with one another the correspondingly retracted sliding door leaf elements come to lie transversely to the inlet openings 3a and 3b. So that are the two inlet entrances 3a and 3b tightly closed. In particular, if the motor drives 23 are blocked, the passage as a whole can be closed and locked in this way, in a double sense by the two pairs of closed door leaves lying one behind the other. Additional locking measures are of course also possible.

In order to achieve a particularly favorable functional mechanism, it can also be provided that a co-rotating support plate 22 is also provided in the middle of the passage passage, as can be seen in particular in the vertical sectional view according to FIG. This support plate 16 can have 90 ° angular recesses offset from one another by 180 °, as a result of which a small step shoulder of, for example, only 1 cm is formed, against which the wing doors 15 rest in their crosswise closed position, starting from their lateral adjustment area.

On the basis of FIG. 5 it is shown in sections that the door leaves 15 are located opposite to their pivot axes a corresponding shape 33 or locking device 35 can be provided so that they support and lock each other in their crosswise locking position (ie during normal operation of a revolving door). According to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5, this can be formed by a corresponding angular shape of the end edge. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the end edges are each formed in the manner of a protruding 90 ° sector, so that the four door leaves used in the exemplary embodiment shown are mutually supported on their end edges.

This creates an additional centering for the ends of the wing doors 15 lying in the area of the central or symmetry axis 9, which contributes to increasing the stability.

Finally, for the sake of completeness, reference is also made to FIG. 6, in which four sliding door-like wings 15 are provided. As can be seen from the broken line, each door leaf 15 can be pivoted not only in one direction, but also in the opposite direction. For this reason, there is no fixed assignment to a second door leaf in this exemplary embodiment, since even in a position of the revolving door that is rotated 90 ° to FIG. 6, each door leaf can be swiveled either to the left or to the right such that it is adjacent to the adjacent passage boundary wall 5 comes to rest. In this embodiment, too, the inner ends of the wing door elements 15 "can be coupled so as to bring about a safe and common pivoting movement, each with a second wing door element assigned in the correct position, so that at least the respective entanglement movement can be carried out jointly and in a coupled manner in the open position.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the vertical pivot axes are provided as far as possible outside. The pivot axes are preferably measured from the center, i.e. from the central or symmetry axis 9 at a minimum distance of 70%, preferably 75%, 80%, 85%, 90% or even 95% of the maximum possible radial length of the door leaf 15. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, this corresponds to the distance from the central or symmetry axis 9 up to the drum-shaped passage boundary walls 5.

Reference is made below to FIGS. 7 and 8, in which a modified exemplary embodiment is shown.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8 differs from the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that it is not a passage passage which is circular in plan view with cylindrical lateral passage boundary walls 5, but an essentially straight passage passage.

The rotor arrangement, explained in principle in FIGS. 1 and 2, using a four-wing arrangement free of rotor axles is such that the outer sliding door elements 15 "are moved in and out relative to the inner sliding door elements 15 'during a rotation in accordance with the arrow representation, so that the total length of the wings 15 changes during one revolution.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the arrangement is such that above the vertical door supports 19 there is in each case a further guide roller 41 rotating about a vertical axis, which is arranged in a groove-shaped guide device 43 (which is fastened and formed, for example, to the ceiling 20). is led. The Door supports 19 have a gallows-shaped support structure, the upper horizontal support 45, which is supported by the horizontal rollers 12, can be telescoped in and out in a telescopic guide 47 connected to the motor 16.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 8, the guide rollers 41 which engage in the guide device 43 and are equipped with a vertical axis are arranged in a direct vertical extension of the door carrier 19 or the pivot axis 17 formed thereon. The guide roller 41 and the guide device 43 can also be offset from it.

With this design, it follows that when the revolving door rotates according to FIG. 7, the guide roller 41 and thus, for example, the pivot axis 17 aligned therewith in plan view follow the guide path 49 shown in broken lines in FIG. This means during a rotation of the sash that the outer sliding door elements 15 'are moved in and out relative to the inner sliding door elements 15 ", so that the overall width of the sash changes during one rotation. The width of the sash (ie the length of the sash) increases in the diagonal direction. in each case the largest value, while in a position transverse to the straight passage boundary wall 5, the relative width of the door (ie its length) is the smallest.

The route of route can of course be arbitrary. It is entirely possible to make the passage boundary walls wavy. The guide device can also be correspondingly wave-shaped, so that with the guide device explained, the swiveling-in and out-swiveling movement of the each outer sliding door element may be more complex than the inner one and may differ from the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 8.

It is also possible, for example, that the sliding door elements in the entrance and exit area 3a, 3b follow a circular path and only adjacent to the lateral passage boundary walls 5 following the respective passage boundary wall 5.

Such superimposed relative movements during a rotation of the revolving door also opens up the advantage, for example in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, that the risk of pinching (shear edges) existing in conventional revolving doors is avoided. 1, the outer sliding door or the outer sliding door element 15 'can be retracted inwards in such a way that, for example, the outer edge 51 describes the dashed curved path 53 shown in FIG. 1. In other words, for example at the beginning of the inlet edge, a preselectable distance of the outer edge 51 of the outer sliding door element 15 "can be set by 15 to 25 cm, for example, in order to reliably avoid any shearing action at the beginning of the passage boundary wall 5. With continuous rotation of the revolving door The sliding door element 15 ″ can then be moved back into its further outer position in which the outer outer edge 51 follows the passage boundary wall 5.

The exemplary embodiment explained with reference to FIGS. 7 and 8 and the specific displacement of the respective outer sliding door element 15 'in the region of the inlet edge according to the dashed curve 53 in FIG. 1 has been explained with the aid of positive guidance using guide rollers 41 which are in a guide device 43 engage and control the swiveling in and out of the respective outer sliding door elements 15 '.

In a departure from this exemplary embodiment, a corresponding cam path 53 in FIG. 1 or a guide path 49 in FIG. 7 can also be carried out by a separate control device, not shown in the drawings, via which each wing or a pair of wings, or also via a positive guidance, a plurality of wings together separately - and be extended. That is, a drive device is provided for the wings, which in each case extends and retracts the outer sliding door element 15 'in the radial direction during a rotational movement of the revolving door in accordance with the desired curved path.

Only for the sake of completeness it is mentioned that a further modification is also possible in such a way that the respective outer sliding door elements 15 'to achieve an orbit deviating from a normal circular path are also via a guide device, in which, however, the rotational movement of the wings is supportive or solely by means of one revolving drive belt or drive belt-like drive takes place, the drive belt being for example guided in a guide path 49 along a guide device 43. That is, the individual wings are coupled via the drive belt-like drive and are thereby positively guided so that, in accordance with the guide path 49, the desired retraction and extension movement of the outer sliding door element relative to the inner one is carried out.

The other pivoting mechanism is, of course, also in the last-mentioned exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8 as well as the further explained modifications thereof changed to release the passage passage. That is to say, also in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8, for example in the position of the wings corresponding to FIG. 1, a pair of wings lying adjacent to the boundary walls 5 can be pivoted in opposite directions onto the boundary wall 5 about their pivot axes 17 such that the plane of the wings is parallel to the boundary wall 5. This results in a completely free, unobstructed passage through the passage.
