Definitions

  • the invention provides an electrical connection module to contact piece of the wire retaining slot type provided a stripped mouth.
  • a known technique for connecting an electric wire to an electrically conductive contact piece consists of provide a wire core retaining slot opening at the level of an edge of this part to allow penetration of the wire transversely in the slot where the core of this wire just get stuck after being locally stripped of its sheath by the edges of the mouthpiece via which the slot opens at the edge of the part.
  • This arrangement is intended to be housed in a case of insulating material where a part is immobilized connecting conductor with retaining slot for wire core.
  • the housing has an opening, a first part allows a wire to enter the housing in position insertion with respect to a stripped slit mouth, transversely with respect to this slot.
  • the opening is extends by a second part, extending along the slot, which is provided to secure the sheath a suitable wire whose core is retained in the slot after insertion.
  • An auxiliary operating part is provided to ensure the operations of stripping the core of wire and driving in this core and wire respectively in the slot and in the second opening part to a position where the retentions of the core and the wire by its sheath are ensured by this slot and through this opening part.
  • the piece of maneuver slides for this purpose along the slot and the second opening part and allows a thread to be pushed into it from a first position allowing placement suitable wire in front of the stripped mouth of slot before insertion, up to a second position where the wire is maintained by jamming its core and its sheath.
  • the auxiliary part can be operated from outside the case thanks to an opening which ensures its press-in by means of a tool rod, such as than a screwdriver, it must go up elastically in insertion position after being pushed in to ensure a wire connection by insertion.
  • a tool rod such as than a screwdriver
  • connection of a wire by pushing involves a strong pressure on the auxiliary part
  • the method of connection used implies that the arrangement either at least placed and preferably fixed on a support able to withstand connection pressure, such layout is therefore well suited when provided in the frame of a terminal block fixed on a rigid support. he is more difficult to implement, when is incorporated in a connection module, for example intended to be housed in a container inside which it is not fixed, for example for economic reasons.
  • the invention therefore proposes a module for connection comprising an insulating housing in which is immobilized a conductive connecting part with a slot stripping and retaining with a stripped mouth for at least one conductive core of electric wire.
  • the housing has a wire opening, the first part of which allows penetration of a wire to be connected in the insertion position by compared to the stripped mouth of the slit, before sinking of the core of this wire transversely in the slot, and of which a second part allows sheath retention by jamming for any suitable wire whose core is retained by jamming in the slot where it was pushed.
  • the module also includes an auxiliary part fitted with a thread pushing element sliding in the housing along the slot and / or the opening between a first position for which it is possible to insert a wire between element striker and stripped mouth of slot, and a second position of the pusher element for which a core of wire thrust in the slot and the corresponding wire sheath thrust in the opening are held there by wedging.
  • the auxiliary part is provided of an operating element protruding out of the housing, is held in at least the second position by cooperation between holding means which it carries and means supporting the housing, and includes external operating means arranged on the element of maneuver to act on at least some of the means of holding, in order to release said auxiliary part when it is in the second immobilization position for allow it to be brought back to first position.
  • Figure 1 shows an exploded perspective of an example of connection module, according to the invention, in combination with a portion of wire to be connected.
  • Figure 2 shows a median cross section of the connection module according to figure 1, with part operating aid in a first position.
  • Figures 3 and 4 show respectively sections according to III-III and according to IV-IV of the connection module according to Figure 1.
  • Figure 5 shows a median cross section of the connection module according to figure 1, with part operating aid in a second position.
  • the contact type electrical connection module wire stripping and retaining slot which is presented in Figure 1 comprises an insulating housing 1 in which is immobilized at least one conductive connection piece 2, to wire retention slot with a stripped mouth, which is presented in dotted lines inside the case on Figure 1 and in more detail in Figures 2 to 5.
  • connection piece 1 is for example made of a corresponding to that notably described in the document FR-A-2611406, already mentioned above. It involves a stripping opening 3 for a core of wire with stripped mouth for suitable electrical wires, i.e. having physical and in particular dimensional characteristics contained in a given range, generally quite limited, for a given part model, as known.
  • the piece of connection 2 proposed here includes a stripping slot 3, essentially straight, spanned along part profile obtained by cutting and folding from a strip metallic.
  • the profiled part of the connection piece 2 a here a hollow cross section, approximately in U, whose ends were obliquely and also folded towards each other so that two folds 4 bordering the slot 3, as seen on the figure 4.
  • This slot has a stripped mouth responsible for cutting the sheath of the wires introduced into the slot through it, such as the sheath 6 of the cable C1 in figure 1.
  • This mouthpiece is for example obtained by oblique cutting of the parts intended to form the folds 4, it is assumed at the top of the room as as seen in Figures 1 to 3 and 5.
  • connection piece 2 is likely to be designed to receive several of these parts for example by pair (s), the connecting parts being interconnected or not between them as needed.
  • Dispositions advantageous can in particular be obtained by having two connecting pieces so that their respective retaining slots are located on either side and other part of the assembly formed by these two parts, or by having two connecting pieces side by side with their retaining slots on the same side of the assembly as form.
  • the mouths of these slots are susceptible to be arranged opposite each other if the two parts are mounted head to tail, or side by side if they are mounted side by side.
  • two boxes preferably identical are likely to be associated mechanically and / or electrically, according to a large number of variants both for these cases and for the parts connection that we lodge there. For reasons of simplification of the presentation it is a case supposed to contain only one part which will be more particularly described here, knowing therefore it is within the reach of the skilled person to deduce therefrom without difficulty a number of variants.
  • the case 1 is likely to be achieved by various processes and in particular by assembling and possibly welding elements which are for example made by molding an insulating material, these elements forming and / or comprising cavities and shapes immobilization housing of connection room (s).
  • the case is assumed to be closed at its part lower by a bottom element 5, molded with the rest of the case otherwise monobloc and for example folded down and secured after insertion and positioning of the part connection 2.
  • the housing has an opening extending in particular by look of the retaining slot 3 of the connecting piece 2, as seen in Figure 1.
  • This opening has a first part 7 allowing the penetration of a wire suitable for connection in the housing in position insertion with respect to the stripped mouth of the slot retainer 3, like one of the wires C1 or C2 shown in dotted lines in Figure 5.
  • the opening extends beyond part 7, here of circular appearance, by a second part 8, here at parallel edges, extending along the slot 3 in order to allow a wire to be retained, such as C1 by its sheath 6, when the core 6 ′ of this wire has been pushed into the slot 3 beyond of the stripped mouth of this slit.
  • connection module also includes an auxiliary part 9 which comprises a thread-pushing element 10 sliding in the housing along the slot and / or the opening between two positions.
  • auxiliary part 9 which comprises a thread-pushing element 10 sliding in the housing along the slot and / or the opening between two positions.
  • the pushing element 10 is pushed in by sliding leads into the slot the soul of the previously inserted wire between this pusher element and the stripped mouth of this slot, it also drives the sheath of this wire in the second opening part 8 of the housing and this up to a second position which corresponds to a sinking limit of the pusher element.
  • the pusher element 10 of the part auxiliary 9 is extended by an operating element 11 which is expected to protrude out of the housing whatever the position taken by the pusher element when it slides in the case, so as to allow to move this pusher element from the outside of this case, what whatever position it has reached by sliding both in one direction and the other.
  • the pusher element 10 is shaped at the end to correctly position a wire to be connected against which it is applied by sliding in order to train him.
  • the pusher element has two parts 12 and 13 for pushing the wire, along and on both sides of the slot, part 12 fitting between the slot and the housing opposite the opening.
  • the push end of element 10 and therefore here of each part 12, 13 is shaped to allow the guiding and centering of the wire to be connected vis-à-vis the slit mouth and the second opening part where this wire will penetrate when it is inserted.
  • This end is for example of at least approximately semi-cylindrical shape hollow, as seen in Figure 3.
  • the bottom of the case and the end in projection of the operating element are arranged to facilitate the grip of the tool jaws on themselves, by arrangements known to those skilled in the art, for example by external grooving of the bottom, as notably shown on the Figures 1 and 2.
  • auxiliary part is held down in its second position when the connection of the wires to the connection module has been performed.
  • Means are therefore provided for maintaining the auxiliary part 9 in position when the pusher element 10 which it comprises has slid to its second position which constitutes its limit of insertion into the housing. This position is fixed, as is known, so that either retained by the slot 3 and by the second opening part 8 any suitable wire whose soul has been pushed into this slot and whose sheath was simultaneously pushed into this part by the pusher element 10.
  • the means for maintaining the position of the auxiliary part 9 are worn by the latter, for example by the element pusher 10 and they cooperate with complementary means holding comprised by the housing.
  • These means are by example constituted by lugs 14 arranged on the side and on the other side of the part 12 of the pusher element 10 in a area of this element which is in the case 1, when the latter slid into its second position to which it is pushed into the housing as much as possible. They for example retract elastically when the part auxiliary sinks and comes to be fixed in housings 15, for example holes, which are provided for them in the housing and which prohibit any removal of the part auxiliary 9 and in particular of its pusher element 10, as long as the cooperation between these means of maintenance complementary 14 and 15 is not voluntarily eliminated. This therefore allows the pusher element 10 to contribute to the retaining the wire (s) he pushed into slot 3 and in the first opening part 8.
  • the auxiliary part 9 is likely to include the same kind of holding means making it possible to keep it in the first position where it allows the penetration of a wire to be connected.
  • the lugs 14 which constitute the holding means comprised by the part auxiliary 9, can be moved from outside the module of connection so that it can be dissociated from the means additional support worn by the housing and allow sliding of the pusher element 10.
  • the auxiliary part includes means for maneuver which are preferably constituted by parts 16 of the operating element 11, here two in number; these parts 16 carry the pins 14, they are arranged to be elastically deformable under the action of forces exerted from the outside on the operating element and for allow the lugs 14 to come out of the housings 15, when these pins are there.
  • the two parts 16 of an auxiliary part are constituted by division partial of the operating element 11 which comprises them. This division creates a median interval which opens at the end of this operating element projecting out of the case and which allows to bring these two parts together by a pinching carried out at their projecting ends due to their relative elasticity.
  • Such a pinch reconciliation is calculated for cause the retraction of the lugs 14, outside the housings 16, when they are there.
  • the arrangement of parts 16 and the shape and position of the pins are chosen so that these are normally engaging, as it is known, so as not to allow removal of the part auxiliary, when it has reached its second position, both there was not a pinch of pin release made on the operating element at the level of the parts 16.
  • each extension 18 is elastically recalled towards part 16 which carries it, which keeps the auxiliary part in its first position for which it allows the introduction of a wire in the housing, the end of each extension coming then abut on the housing near an orifice 19 of the housing - see figure 1 -, through which the part passes auxiliary. Pinching of the operating element at the level respective projecting ends of the parts 16 ensures then a spacing of the extensions which authorizes their passage along the housing outside of the latter.
  • the holding means which allow the element pusher 10 to be retained pressed into the housing in the second position are arranged internally at the ends respective extensions 18 in the areas of these extensions that slide on the outside of the housing.
  • the latter then includes accommodation external complementary, for example in the form of holes which are complementary to those worn by extensions 18.
  • These housings are arranged so as to secure the auxiliary part with its element pusher pushed into the housing in second position and they allow a separation of the holding means complementary coupled when a pinch is carried out at the operating element in a manner analogous to that indicated above.
  • connection of a wire in a connection module is carried out by introduction into the housing of a wire end, such as C1, not stripped of its sheath, via the first opening part 7, up to the stop wire at the bottom of the housing 1.
  • the housing has a light 20, possibly concealable allowing to check the penetration of the wire by compared to the stripped mouth of slot 3, the wire coming from further abut against a wall 21 of the housing which overhangs the bottom wall 22 of the connection piece 2.
  • a tool clamping such as for example a universal clamp like indicated above, possibly after the part auxiliary was released on sinking.
  • This release can be obtained by pinching, in the case of the variant mentioned above; it can possibly be obtained by application of sufficient insertion pressure high, if the auxiliary part includes means for maintenance in first position which are for example of the type retractable protrusion under strong lateral pressure as usual in this area.
  • This or these protrusions are by example arranged on the auxiliary part so as to be flush with orifice 19, outside the housing, when the pusher element is in its first position.
  • Pinching carried out at the parts 16 of the element also allows the part to be reassembled auxiliary in first position to extract the wire or connected wires, for example under the pressure of a blade tool, such as a screwdriver blade inserted into the slot 3 against the wire introduced first and through the second opening part 8, so as to do so go up towards the stripped mouth of this slit and at be able to extract it via the first opening part 7 of the housing.
  • a blade tool such as a screwdriver blade inserted into the slot 3 against the wire introduced first and through the second opening part 8
