Abstract

Stock is supplied to the breast box of a paper machine by a number of distributor feeds across the width of the machine. In at least one of the feeds (main stream) there is a restrictor followed by a feed (side stream) of liquid (e.g. stock suspension, dilution water or water) at an angle. The angle is chosen so that a small change in the rate of flow of the side stream results in a large corresponding or opposing change in the total flow (main stream plus side stream). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for sectional Supply of the headbox of a paper machine with Stock suspension and a device for Execution of the procedure.

It is known from WO 88/01318 a headbox using a large number of lines from a distributor To supply stock suspension, the individual Volume flows can be regulated by adjustable valves.

Furthermore, a sectional material feed to the Headbox with a mixing device known from the Patent application DE 40 19 593. Here is a Mixing device presented that serves several Mix partial volume flows in such a way that a constant Mix volume flow occurs. To do this Partial volume flows in mixer and by application a complex valve control depending regulated by each other.

From DE 42 11 291 a headbox is also a Paper machine known that across the machine width distributed a variety of material feeds become. Furthermore, the properties of the Stock suspension in the individual feed lines or Channels each by mixing two Material suspension flows with different properties and different throughput influenced by a Angle for feeding the second suspension stream into the first suspension stream is used, under which there is no Change in the total current of both partial flows results, regardless of their ratio. Requirement is that after the mixing point a relatively strong Throttle is provided. This throttle becomes variable executed, so there is in addition to influencing Density of the total current also the possibility of Total flow with respect to the sectional flow rate influence.

However, all of the above statements contain considerable Pollution problems because of influencing the Flow rate of the sectional volume flows, the one has a relatively high concentration of substances, a valve must be used, because of its valve structure very much often leads to fiber wiping and thus the quality of the paper produced is impaired.

The invention has for its object a method and a device for sectional supply of the Headbox of a paper machine with stock suspension which opens up the possibility of the Volume flow between stock suspension distributor and Influence the headbox so that none Fiber wiping occur.

This object is achieved by the features of claims 1 and 2 solved.

Accordingly, in the feed line of the stock suspension from Distributor to the headbox, or the sections of the Headbox liquid, preferably stock suspension or dilution water, injected such that a Exchange of impulses between the main flow and the Secondary flow takes place, so that the sum of the Total flow itself with increasing throughput of the - Secondary flow reduced.

In den Leitungen Li sind Drosseln DRi vorgesehen, die es ermöglichen die sektionalen Volumenströme individuell einzustellen, um z.B. ein verbessertes Faserorientierungsquerprofil zu erreichen.FIG. 1 schematically shows a sectional material feed (from the top view) known from WO 88/01318 for a headbox in which the sections S i of the headbox STA - with the vestibule VR, the turbulence-generating area TB and the downstream outlet nozzle DS - are fed from a common distributor via lines L i with stock suspension. Throttles DR i are provided in the lines L i , which make it possible to individually adjust the sectional volume flows in order, for example, to achieve an improved fiber orientation cross profile.

Anmeldung beschrieben, einstellen läßt.FIG. 2 shows a sectional feed system known from DE 40 19 593 (in side view), in which stock suspension is fed from a distributor VT 1 via main lines L1 i to a large number of mixers M i via throttle valves DR1 i . A material suspension of different concentration, for example dilution water, is fed into the mixer M i from a further distributor VT i via secondary lines L2 i , regulated by throttles DR2 i . The supply of the individual partial volume flows of the lines L1 i and L2 i is regulated via the throttles DR1 i and DR2 i , so that both the concentration and the amount of the total volume flow can be set as described in the abovementioned application.

Sollen die Gesamtvolumenströme jedoch geregelt sein, so muß die nachfolgende, hier notwendige Drossel DR2i einstellbar ausgeführt werden.FIG. 3 shows a sectional material feed (known from DE 42 11 291) (in side view) in which the material suspension is fed from a distributor VT 1 via main lines L1 i to a large number of mixers M i . A material suspension of different concentrations, for example dilution water, is fed into the mixer M i from a further distributor VT i via secondary lines L2 i in a controlled manner by throttle valves DR1. The supply via the secondary lines L2 i are, as described in the above-mentioned application, initiated at an angle β o at which there is no change in the total volume flow after the mixers when the current supplied via the secondary lines L2 i changes . However, if the total volume flows are to be regulated, the following throttle DR2 i , which is necessary here, must be made adjustable.

In all variants of the figures 1-3 results the problem that a targeted change in the Total volume flow can only be achieved if the Throttles in the total volume flow or in both Partial flow rates are variable, which always there is an increased risk of contamination, which leads to a Decrease in paper quality due to fiber wiping.

Figure 4 shows the sectional feed according to the invention with a previous mixer. Similar to FIGS. 2 and 3, two distributors VT 1 and VT 2 are provided, the distributor VT 1 substance suspension containing normal concentration, while dilution liquid with only a low concentration or without fibrous material components is supplied via the distributor VT 2 . In the illustrated embodiment, high concentration stock suspension is fed from the distributor VT 1 to the mixer M i via main lines L1 i . In the mixer M i , the stock suspension is fed in the desired manner via supply of dilution liquid (e.g. white water) from the distributor VT 2 via the branch lines L3 i - regulated by adjustable throttles DR1 i - to the mixer at an angle β o , so that no changes of the total flow volume depending on the amount of diluent supplied. A fixed throttle DR3 i is installed behind the mixer M i , which ensures the necessary pressure drop. Dilution liquid from the distributor VT 2 - regulated by adjustable throttles DR2 i - is now also injected into the main streams H i emerging from the mixer at an angle α via the secondary lines L2 i . The angle α is chosen so that a small change in the volume flow of the secondary flow N i causes a large change in the volume flow of the total flow G i , which leads to the respective headbox section.

  • Depending on the selected angle α, the following constellations are possible:
  • a) 180 ° ≥ α >> β o , preferably α ≈ 180 ° and high speed in the secondary line with a small volume in the secondary line:
In this case, a disproportionate reduction in the total flow is achieved by increasing the bypass flow through pulse exchange. Reverse flow.
  • b) β o >> α ≥ 0 °, preferably α ≈ 0 ° and high speed in the secondary line with a small volume in the secondary line:
  • Here, a disproportionate increase in the total flow is also achieved by increasing the bypass flow. Rectified flow.
  • c) α ≈ 90 °, speed in the secondary line is very high compared to that in the main line:
  • The total current is disproportionately reduced by increasing the bypass flow. Barrier-effect needle jet, generation of highly turbulent flow.
The particular advantage of the versions shown is in the fact that in all the embodiments adjustable and prone to contamination Throttle valves are not in the suspension flow with high Concentration must lie, but in the strand of the Dilution liquid. Especially with the solution in connection with a concentration regulation of the Section currents is also the minor one Change the substance concentration of the corresponding Section without any problems since this is done by setting the Concentration of the material suspension of the main stream with the previous mixer can be compensated again.
