Das Behältnis wird durch doppelte Falzung der beiden äusseren Seiten auf den eingeleimten Steg, der aus Pappe oder Karton oder einem anderen Trägermaterial sein kann, und der je nach Daten- trägergrösse und Grundgrösse ein angepasstes Stauvolumen freilässt, zusammengeführt. Der Abstand der beiden paral¬ lelen Falzungen entspricht dem Aufnahmevolumen der Daten¬ träger und deren Dicke und wird gegeben durch die standardi¬ sierten Normdicken gemass- gebräuchlichen Postverkehrsusan- zen und - normen. Das Stauvolumen und das umschlossene Volumen des Datenträgers bilden das Gesamtvolumen das eigentlichen Briefumschlages oder des Versandetuis.
