Abstract

The door or window is hinged inside a fixed frame (12) by two arms on each hinge. One arm (FL) is pivot mounted on the fixed frame with one end and form the main pivot (DA) with its other ends. The second arm (SL) has a sliding coupling to the movable frame and is pivot mounted on the fixed frame. The two arms are linked by a sliding coupling (50). The sliding coupling comprises a slot in the first arm and a guide pivot on the second arm. The effect of the coupling is to control the position of the main pivot (DA) and keep it near the fixed frame when the window or door is opened wide.
