Abstract

The transport device moves the watch hand in a curved path which follows the shape of the arm, using an endless transport chain or band (1), to which one or more watch hands are attached, to extend perpendicular to the transport direction. The transport chain or band is passed around relatively spaced driven elements (3), at opposite ends of guide elements (2), defining the transport path. Pref. the watch has an elongate watch face which curves around the wearer's wrist, with the watch hand moved past a number of fixed markings during its movement along the curved transport path.
