Description

The invention relates to a ski, the aim of which is to improve the skiability comfort, in particular by reducing the vibrations generated, during skiing, as well as by the reactions inherent in the mechanical characteristics of the ski itself.

In document US-A-5 232 241, a ski has been described, the upper face of which has a recess, intended to receive a plate at the level of which the bindings are fixed, namely front stop and rear heel. Advantageously, this document provides that at the interface between the plate receiving the binding and the ski itself, a sheet made of a visco-elastic material is interposed so as to allow, on the one hand, absorption annoying vibrations, and on the other hand, to allow it relatively large amplitude bending movements, by the cancellation, and in any case the attenuation of the effects of rigidity generated by traditional fastening devices. Such a ski is also described in document DE-A-39 34 891, but in which the plate is not attached at the level of a recess. However, taking into account the fixing of the toe piece and the heel piece only at the level of this added plate, and by the presence of this visco-elastic material, the precision of the handling of the ski is significantly affected, up to to achieve a certain "floating" of the mounting plate, incompatible in any case with a precision ski, let alone for competition.

The current structure of skis tends towards a narrowing of the skate area, resulting in an increased risk of seeing, when cornering, not the edges, but the edges of the boot, which thus becomes significantly wider than this area. . This risk leads to the skidding of the ski, that is to say its abrupt withdrawal from the surface of the snow.

In order to overcome this risk, it has been proposed to raise the area of the skate, that is to say the area receiving the bindings, relative to the upper plane of the ski, for example by means of wedges or plates screwed or glued to the upper surface of the ski.

For example, such a ski has been described in document US-A-2 550 002, in which the area used for mounting the bindings is raised by a wooden plate with interposition between the plate and the upper surface of the ski with a blade made of rubber. However, in this case again, the precision of the handling of the ski is significantly affected, taking into account the floating of the binding plate relative to the ski itself.

It has also been proposed, for example in document FR-A-2 648 720, to make a ski, having at the level of the skate area, a raised upper wall, to integrate into this area a plate made of a visco-elastic material . In such a structure, the vibration isolation is however not optimal.

At the same time, such systems are unthinkable with a ski with a more complex profile, the evolution of which is constantly increasing and for which the public is increasingly demanding.

The object of the invention is to provide a ski of the type in question, overcoming these various drawbacks.

It offers a ski including:
  • a gliding sole, possibly bordered by edges,
  • a structural body comprising at least one upper reinforcing layer covered with an upper protective surface,
  • at the level of the pad area, an attached structure, secured by bonding to said upper surface, by means of a sheet or plate made of a visco-elastic material, at least in part rear, that is to say at the level of the zone intended to receive the heel piece ensuring, in cooperation with a stop, the fixing of the skier's shoe.

The ski according to the invention is characterized in that the fixing screws of the anterior zone of the attached structure pass through it to come to anchor in the upper reinforcement layer of the structural body, while the fixing screws of the heel piece is anchored only in the attached structure, above the sheet or plate of visco-elastic material.

In this way, it is thus possible to combine, on the one hand, the damping function of the visco-elastic material, operating either by crushing or by shearing, and, on the other hand, the precision function of guiding the ski by the stop. before. In addition, taking into account the possibility of shearing conferred on the posterior zone of the added structure, due to the presence at its level of attachment to the structural body of the ski of a sheet or plate of visco-elastic material, the assembly of the front toe + heel piece binding is never compressed, even if the ski bends.

Advantageously, the added structure has an upper surface extending the general shape of the upper surface of the ski. In other words, there is no marked discontinuity in the profile of the ski, after the said added structure has been put in place, both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the ski.

Advantageously, the toe piece and the heel piece are kept substantially parallel to the sole by means of elements attached to said structure and of a suitable complementary shape to adapt to the particular profile of this structure, in particular when the latter has a generally triangular cross section. .

The manner in which the invention can be implemented and the advantages which ensue therefrom will emerge more clearly from the following exemplary embodiments, given by way of indication and without limitation in support of the appended figures.

Figure 1 is a schematic perspective representation of a ski according to the invention.

Figure 2 is a partial representation in longitudinal section along the line II-II of Figure 1, in particular of the ski skid area according to the invention.

Figure 5 is a schematic perspective representation of a ski with a particular profile, according to the invention.

Les figures 6 et 7 sont des représentations schématiques en section transversale analogues aux figures 3 et 4, mais d'un ski à profil particulier selon la figure 5.FIGS. 6 and 7 are schematic representations in cross section similar to FIGS. 3 and 4, but of a ski with a particular profile according to FIG. 5.

Par ailleurs, le ski représenté comporte également des chants latéraux (17), par exemple réalisés en ABS (acryl-butyl-styrène).FIG. 1 very schematically represents a ski (1) of traditional profile, and which comprises at the level of the skate (2) a structure (3) attached to the upper face of said ski at the level of this skate. This ski also comprises a gliding sole (13), bordered by metal lateral edges (16), the sole subassembly thus produced being covered with a reinforcing element (12). Furthermore, the ski shown also has lateral edges (17), for example made of ABS (acryl-butyl-styrene).

More specifically, the structure (3), an embodiment of which has been shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, is for example made of wood, molded plastic, or else according to a more complex structure. Furthermore, although shown in one-piece form in the figures, this added structure (3) may consist of two parts, respectively an anterior part and a posterior part.

A sheet or plate (8) of a visco-elastic material is interposed between the structure (3) and the upper face (9) of the ski (1). It should be noted that if in the examples described in connection with the figures, this sheet or plate of visco-elastic material extends along the entire length of the attached structure (3), said sheet (8) can be limited to the single posterior zone of the attached structure (3), that is to say at the level of the heel attachment zone (7).

Leur fixation sur la structure (3) s'effectue au moyen de vis d'ancrage ou système équivalent (14, 15) (figures 3 et 4).This structure (3), which can be of variable profile, receives two elements respectively (4) and (5) directly above the location of the binding, namely the front stop (6) and the heel piece (7). These elements (4) and (5), for example made of polyurethane, are intended to allow the positioning of said attachment along a plane parallel to the sole at the level of the shoe (2). They are fixed to the structure (3) by means of anchoring screws or equivalent system (14, 15) (Figures 3 and 4).

According to a characteristic of the invention, the fixing of the stop (6) on the element (4) at the level of the structure (3) by means of the screws (14) is anchored more deeply than the structure (3) it -same, since it comes to be anchored at the upper zone of the ski (1) as can be observed in FIG. 3, and this, by crossing the visco-elastic plate (8), then the protective sheet of the upper surface of the ski, also serving as a decoration (9), to be screwed into the upper reinforcing element (10) and into the core (11), constituting the core of the structural body of the ski.

On the other hand, the heel piece (7) fixed on the element (5) is only anchored at the level of the structure (3), as can be better seen in FIG. 4, therefore without reaching the sheet (9) for protecting the upper surface of the ski, and a fortiori without reaching the structural body of said ski.

In this way, the structure (3) is isolated from the ski body by the presence of the plate of visco-elastic material (8), so that a large number of vibrations are absorbed by this material and are not transmitted to the skier.

On the other hand, due to the deep anchoring of the front stop (6) by means of the screws (14) at the level of the upper face of the ski (9) and of the reinforcement (10), this gives greater precision. when driving the ski, especially when cornering.

De la sorte, la talonnière, fixée à l'aplomb de cette zone sur la seule structure rapportée, est à même de permettre l'occurence de cisaillement, de par le feuille visco-élastique (8).Thus, the posterior zone of the attached structure (3) is fixed by gluing to the upper face of the sheet or plate (8) in visco-elastic, itself glued by its lower surface to the structural body of the ski. In this way, the heel piece, fixed to the plumb of this zone on the only added structure, is able to allow the occurrence of shearing, by the visco-elastic sheet (8).

Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, in which the profile of the ski (18) is not traditional, as shown in FIG. 1, but is complex and in particular has a triangular section. varying throughout the length of the ski.

The profile of the upper surface of this ski (18) forms two sections (19, 20), of variable inclination over the length of the ski, said sections joining together forming an upper edge (21). At the level of the skate, as can be seen in FIGS. 6 and 7, the section of the ski is substantially trapezoidal, and is surmounted by an attached structure (22) of triangular section, extending the shape of the sides of the trapezoidal section, so as to give the ski a continuous triangular profile, free of discontinuities in shape.

At the level of the skate area, the ski receives between its upper face, constituted by the small base of the trapezoidal section, and the attached structure (22), a strip (8) made of a visco-elastic material.

In this way, and in this case, the elements (4) and (5) have a shape adapted and complementary to the profile considered, so as to maintain in the same plane parallel to the sole at the level of the shoe, respectively the front stop ( 6) and the heel piece (7).

The method of attachment remains equivalent, namely deep anchoring of the screws (14) passing through the element (4) receiving the front stop (6), inside the upper face of the ski (18), and in particular at the level of the reinforcement (10), and limited anchoring of the screws (15) passing through the element (5) supporting the heel piece (7) inside the single added structure (22), in order to allow shearing phenomena at this level .

In addition to the advantages already developed in the context of the description of the exemplary embodiment relating to FIGS. 1 to 4, this particular embodiment makes it possible to obtain good lateral guidance of the intermediate elements (4, 5), and therefore the front stop (6) and the heel piece (7), with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ski, this guidance being in fact optimized by the particular rib-shaped profile of the ski, resulting in closer cooperation between said elements (4, 5) and the upper surface of the ski.

Claims (3)

  1. A ski comprising :
    - a running sole (13), optionally bordered by edges (16) ;
    - a structural body comprising at least one upper reinforcement layer (10) covered with an upper protective surface (9) ;
    - in the region of the support face, an attached structure (3, 22), fastened onto said upper surface (9) at least in the rear part, that is to say in the zone intended to accommodate the heel binding (7) which, in cooperation with a front toe stop (6), binds the boot of the skier, this fastening being produced by adhesive bonding by way of a sheet or plate (8) made of a viscoelastic material,
wherein the screws (14) for fastening the anterior zone of the attached structure (3, 22) pass through the latter before being anchored in the upper reinforcement layer (10) of the structural body, whereas the screws (15) for fastening the heel binding (7) are only anchored in the attached structure (3, 22), above the sheet or plate (8) made of viscoelastic material.
  2. The ski as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front toe stop (6) and the heel binding (7) are held substantially parallel to the running sole (13) by means of intermediate elements (4, 5) which are placed on said attached structure (3, 22) and the shape of which is suitable and complementary for matching the particular profile of this structure.
  3. The ski as claimed in one of claims 1 and 2, wherein the profile of the attached structure (3, 22) substantially extends the general shape of the upper surface of the ski, so as to remove from the ski thus obtained any discontinuity in terms of profile.
