Abstract

The cam release mechanism, e.g. for a loader bucket, comprises a cam housing which is joined to a cylinder (7) containing a piston (8) which is moved by a fluid under pressure to make the cam (5) rotate relative to the shaft (4) on which it is mounted. The piston is made with teeth (9) which mesh with others on the shaft (10). The mechanism, which can be used, for example, to lock a loader bucket relative to a transverse shaft (6), is designed so that the locking mechanism can be engaged or released remotely, without the operator having to leave his cab.
