Abstract

The invention relates to a compressor set consisting of at least two side-channel compressors (2, 7) in axially adjacent arrangement, each having a casing consisting of at least two casing sections (8, 9) with radially outwardly projecting connecting plates (10, 10a) and joined together by connectors (13) insertable through corresponding apertures (11, 12) in the connecting plates (10, 10a). The construction of such a compressor set and the distribution of the connecting forces are improved in that at least the two casing sections (8, 9) in the middle of the compressor set are cast in the same way and the design of the connecting plates (10, 10a) on them is such that there is still space for fitting a further connector (13) on either side of a connector (13) which can be arranged at the peripheral centre of the connecting plates (10, 10a).

Compressor set which comprises at least two side-channel compressors (2 and 7) which are in an axially adjacent arrangement and have in each case a casing comprising at least two casing halves (1, 8 and 6, 9 respectively) provided on their outer circumference with radially outwardly projecting connecting plates (10, 10a, 17), and which are joined together by connecting elements (13) which can be introduced into corresponding openings (11, 12) in the connecting plates (10, 10a, 17), characterised in that at least the two casing halves (8, 9) located in the middle of the compressor set are cast in the same way and the connecting plates (10, 10a, 17) provided on said casing halves are designed, at least on the one end face (14) of the casing halves (8, 9), in such a way that there is still space on both sides of a connecting element (13, 19), which can be mounted in the middle of the circumference of the connecting plates (10, 17), in each case for a further connecting element (13) to be mounted.

  3. Compressor set according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that connecting plates (10 and 10a) corresponding to the connecting plates (10 and 10a) of the casing halves (8 and 9) located in the middle are also provided on the outer casing halves (1 and 6).
  4. Compressor set according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the two connecting plates (10) are aligned with their mutually facing sides at least substantially in line with the outer sides of the one connecting plate (10a).
  5. Compressor set according to claim 4, characterised in that the connecting plates (10 and 10a) arranged on both end faces (14 and 15) of the casing halves (1, 6, 8 and 9) are joined together by axially extending webs (16), the webs (16) engaging on the two connecting plates (10) in the region of their mutually facing sides and on the one connecting plate (10a) in the region of its outer sides.
