Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-function shower head with a housing, a fixed radiant panel and a rotatable jet orifice, into which a screen disc is inserted and with which an adjustment ring is firmly connected, a guide plate with through-channels and an impeller with radial, ring-shaped arranged between the housing and the radiant panel Platelets, passage areas and cover surfaces is provided.
- the object of the present invention is to create a shower head which can be set to a plurality of spray types, in particular also with at least one pulsating spray type, and does not have the disadvantages mentioned above.
- a lifting ring (5) is provided between the sieve disc (7) and the radiant panel (4), which is provided on one side with bevelled projections (51) which are arranged on an annular step (81 ) provided approach (82) on the jet diaphragm (8) or the screen disc (7), and on the other side with pins (52) for blocking the impeller (3) in the raised position of the lifting ring (5), ie when the bevelled lugs (51) are on the steps (81) of the annular lug (82) is provided.
- the multifunction shower head can also be used to generate different types of radiation without pulsation.
- the bevelled lugs on the lifting ring can be in the lowered position, i.e. brought between the steps and release the impeller and thus allow a pulsating water jet or in a raised position, i.e. brought up to the steps and block the impeller and thus allow a continuous jet of water. Further twisting can e.g. still cause air admixture. Both the pulsating and the continuous water jet are spread over the entire jet aperture area.
- passage channels in the guide plate run obliquely between inlet openings on the outer surface facing the housing and outlet openings offset in the circumferential direction on the outer surface facing the impeller, then the direction of flow of the water jets emerging from the passage channels already has one Impeller tangential component and thus ensures their rotational movement.
- the pins of the lifting ring preferably penetrate the radiant panel and lie in the raised position of the lifting ring on the impeller and lift it up, a toothed ring being formed on the opposite surface of the impeller, which meshes with a toothed ring provided on the guide plate.
- the distance between the impeller and the radiant panel is increased when the impeller is lifted, and a more even flow through the steel panel is also made possible in the areas of the radiant panel located under the cover surfaces of the impeller.
- the lifting ring has radial, elastic extensions, the outer ends of which rest against the radiant panel and which are elastically deformed in the raised position. This gives a return force when returning to the lowered position of the lifting ring, which pulls the pins back and allows the lowering and thus the release of the impeller.
- the radiant panel For guiding the radiant panel as it rotates with respect to the radiant panel, the radiant panel has on its periphery a guide projection which runs in a recess in the radiant panel and an elastically fastened latching extension which engages in notches in the radiant panel. This simplifies the operation of the shower head and prevents unintentional adjustment of the selected position.
- FIG. 1 shows an exploded view of the shower head in longitudinal section and to the right and left of it the top view of the most important individual parts.
- 2 to 4 show the shower head in cross section in the various functional positions "needle spray”, “soft spray” and “pulsating massage jet”.
- the shower head contains a jet diaphragm 8 (shown in section and in a view from above) with a multiplicity of jet passages 85, 86 of different shapes.
- An annular extension 82 is provided around a central bore 87 on the side of the jet diaphragm 8 facing the housing 1, said attachment having locations with different heights, the locations with greater heights, hereinafter referred to as steps, being provided with the reference number 81.
- the ring-shaped extension 82 is immediately inserted into the screen 8, which has one or more stages 71 formed on its circumference, which engage in grooves 88 in the screen 8 to prevent the screen 7 from rotating relative to the screen 8.
- the screen disk 7 consists of a base disk 72, which is preferably covered on both sides with screens 73.
- the base plate 72 has openings 74 which are aligned with part of the beam passages 85 in the beam diaphragm 8 and to which corresponding cutouts 75 in the screens 73 are assigned. Other openings 76 in the base plate 72, however, are covered with the screens 73.
- An adjustment ring 6 is placed on the gradation 89 of the beam diaphragm 8, with webs 89a formed on the beam diaphragm 8 engaging in grooves 61 of the adjustment ring 6 in order to prevent the beam diaphragm 8 and the adjustment ring 6 from rotating relative to one another.
- the shower head contains a radiant panel 4 (shown in section and in a view from below) with openings 43 which, depending on the angular positioning of the radiant panel 4 relative to the radiant panel 8 with the sieve disc inserted, 7 either the jet passages 85 and the cutouts 75 (needle spray Position (Fig. 2) and massage position Fig. 4)) or the beam passages 86 covered with screen surfaces (soft spray position (Fig. 3)).
- the radiant panel 4 has a guide projection 41 at one point on its circumference, which is guided in a recess 83 in the radiant panel 8 when the latter is rotated relative to the radiant panel 4.
- notches 84 are provided in the beam aperture 8, into which a latching extension 42 of the beam plate 4 snaps in order to hold the position corresponding to the selected function.
- an impeller 3 is inserted into the radiant panel 4.
- This impeller 3 (shown in section and in a view from above) runs around an annular elevation 44 of the radiant panel and contains radial, annularly arranged plates 31, passage areas 32 and cover surfaces 33. The water impinging on the plates 31 sets the impeller 3 in rotation , in which the cover surfaces 33 quickly cover and uncover the openings 43 of the radiant panel 4.
- a guide plate 2 provided above the impeller 3 has passage channels 21, the inlet openings 22 and outlet openings 23 of which are each offset in the circumferential direction.
- the water flowing through these channels 21 thus strikes the radial plates 31 at an angle and ensures the rotation of the impeller 3.
- a lifting ring 5 is inserted between the screen disk 7 or the jet orifice 8 and the jet plate 4 and has two bevelled projections 51 on its side facing the jet orifice 8, which run on the annular attachment 82 of the jet orifice 8.
- the lifting ring 5 On its other side, the lifting ring 5 has four pins 52 which penetrate the radiant panel 4. Furthermore, four radial, elastic extensions 53 are provided on the lifting ring 5, the threads of which are supported on the radiant panel 4.
- its projections 51 are located on the steps 81 of the annular projection 82 and the lifting ring 5 is in the raised position or the projections 51 are located between the steps 81 and the lifting ring 5 is in the lowered position.
- the lifting ring 5 In the raised position, the lifting ring 5 is pressed against the radiant panel 4 with elastic deformation of its extensions 53, and the pins 52 protrude from the radiant panel 4 on the side facing the impeller 3, lie against the impeller 3 and have it high.
- the impeller 3 has on its side facing the guide plate 2 a ring gear 34 which engages in a ring gear 24 on the guide plate 2 when it is raised. So that is the rotation of the impeller 3 is blocked.
- the distance between the impeller 3 and the radiant panel 4 is also increased, so that all openings 43 of the radiant panel 4, even those covered by the cover surfaces 33 of the impeller 3, are evenly flowed through.
- the lifting ring 5 By turning the jet diaphragm 8, the lifting ring 5 can be brought back into the lowered position, the elastic extensions 53 producing the necessary restoring action to pull back the pins 52 and the beveled extensions 51 of the lifting ring 5 into the areas between the steps 81 on the annular extension 82 to press.
- a screw 9 passes through the jet diaphragm 8, the lifting ring 5, the jet plate 4 and the impeller 3 and engages in a thread in the guide plate 2.
- the insert assembled in this way is defined in the housing.
- Several O-rings 11 serve to seal the shower head.
- Fig. 2 shows the shower head in the needle spray position.
- the jet plate 4 is opposite the jet diaphragm 8 and the sieve disc 7 so that the water jets emerging through the openings 43 flow through the cutouts 75 in the sieves 73, the openings 74 of the base plate 72 and the jet passages 85 in the jet diaphragm 8.
- the beveled lugs 51 of the lifting ring 5 are located on the steps 81 of the annular lug 82 of the beam diaphragm 8, i.e. the lifting ring assumes the raised position, and the pins 52 of the lifting ring 5 rest against the impeller 3 and lift it up.
- the ring gear 34 of the impeller 3 engages in the ring gear 24 of the guide plate 2, whereby the impeller 3 is blocked.
- the water jet generated is not pulsating.
- the jet plate 4 is opposite the jet orifice 8 and the sieve plate 7 such that the water jets emerging through the openings 43 flow through the openings 76 in the base plate 72, which are covered by the see 73, and the jet passages 86 in the jet orifice 8.
- the beveled lugs 51 of the lifting ring 5 are also in this position on the steps 81 of the annular extension 82 of the beam diaphragm 8, ie the lifting ring takes the raised one Position, and the pins 52 of the lifting ring 5 lie on the impeller 3 and lift it up.
- the ring gear 34 of the impeller 3 engages in the ring gear 24 of the guide plate 2, whereby the impeller 3 is blocked.
- the water jet generated is not pulsating and mixed with air.
- the jet plate 4 shows the shower head in the position with a pulsating massage jet.
- the beveled lugs 51 of the lifting ring 5 are located between the steps 81 of the annular lug 82 of the beam diaphragm 8, i.e. the lifting ring assumes the lowered position, and the pins 52 of the lifting ring 5 lie in the radiant panel 4.
- a distance can be seen between the impeller 3 and the pins 52 and the impeller 3 is lower than in FIGS. 2 and 3, so that the Sprocket 34 of the impeller 3 does not engage in the sprocket 24 of the guide plate 2 and free rotation of the impeller 3 is possible.
- the water jet generated is pulsating.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a multi-function shower head with a housing, a fixed radiant panel and a rotatable jet orifice, into which a screen disc is inserted and with which an adjustment ring is firmly connected, a guide plate with through-channels and an impeller with radial, ring-shaped arranged between the housing and the radiant panel Platelets, passage areas and cover surfaces is provided.
Today, high quality shower sets include the requirement that the shower head can be adjusted to different spray types. This allows you to determine the hardness of the water jet and the amount of air admixture and achieve a massage effect.
In the shower heads of this type known to date, the various types of spray were produced by means of several spray plates which were shifted against one another. A disadvantage here was a large volume due to the complicated structure and a different number of beams in the various functions. This applies in particular to shower heads in which pulsation operation is also possible. Such a shower head is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 5,090,624. In the shower head according to this document, the user can choose between a pulsating and a non-pulsating water jet. Two concentric circles with holes are provided for the water outlet, one outer for non-pulsating and the other inner for pulsating operation. Ie they are individual functions are assigned different regions on the end cover of the shower head and the entire surface of this end cover is never used.
The object of the present invention is to create a shower head which can be set to a plurality of spray types, in particular also with at least one pulsating spray type, and does not have the disadvantages mentioned above.
The object is achieved in that a lifting ring (5) is provided between the sieve disc (7) and the radiant panel (4), which is provided on one side with bevelled projections (51) which are arranged on an annular step (81 ) provided approach (82) on the jet diaphragm (8) or the screen disc (7), and on the other side with pins (52) for blocking the impeller (3) in the raised position of the lifting ring (5), ie when the bevelled lugs (51) are on the steps (81) of the annular lug (82) is provided.
This means that the multifunction shower head can also be used to generate different types of radiation without pulsation. By rotating the beam diaphragm in relation to the lifting ring, the bevelled lugs on the lifting ring can be in the lowered position, i.e. brought between the steps and release the impeller and thus allow a pulsating water jet or in a raised position, i.e. brought up to the steps and block the impeller and thus allow a continuous jet of water. Further twisting can e.g. still cause air admixture. Both the pulsating and the continuous water jet are spread over the entire jet aperture area.
If the passage channels in the guide plate run obliquely between inlet openings on the outer surface facing the housing and outlet openings offset in the circumferential direction on the outer surface facing the impeller, then the direction of flow of the water jets emerging from the passage channels already has one Impeller tangential component and thus ensures their rotational movement.
The pins of the lifting ring preferably penetrate the radiant panel and lie in the raised position of the lifting ring on the impeller and lift it up, a toothed ring being formed on the opposite surface of the impeller, which meshes with a toothed ring provided on the guide plate. In this case, the distance between the impeller and the radiant panel is increased when the impeller is lifted, and a more even flow through the steel panel is also made possible in the areas of the radiant panel located under the cover surfaces of the impeller.
According to the invention, the lifting ring has radial, elastic extensions, the outer ends of which rest against the radiant panel and which are elastically deformed in the raised position. This gives a return force when returning to the lowered position of the lifting ring, which pulls the pins back and allows the lowering and thus the release of the impeller.
For guiding the radiant panel as it rotates with respect to the radiant panel, the radiant panel has on its periphery a guide projection which runs in a recess in the radiant panel and an elastically fastened latching extension which engages in notches in the radiant panel. This simplifies the operation of the shower head and prevents unintentional adjustment of the selected position.
Die Fig.2 bis 4 zeigen den Brausekopf im Querschnitt in den verschiedenen Funktionsstellungen "Needle-Spray", "Soft-Spray" und "Pulsierender Massagestrahl".To clarify the invention, the multi-function shower head according to the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. 1 shows an exploded view of the shower head in longitudinal section and to the right and left of it the top view of the most important individual parts. 2 to 4 show the shower head in cross section in the various functional positions "needle spray", "soft spray" and "pulsating massage jet".
As can be seen in FIG. 1, the shower head contains a jet diaphragm 8 (shown in section and in a view from above) with a multiplicity of
Furthermore, the shower head contains a radiant panel 4 (shown in section and in a view from below) with
At both ends and in the middle of the
Der erzeugte Wasserstrahl ist pulsierend.4 shows the shower head in the position with a pulsating massage jet. The
