Abstract

A shoe of the type having a sole and an upper formed of nonrigid materials attached to the sole, and with a central closure mechanism that is coupled with at least one elongated flexible tightening element by which a vamp of the upper can be tightened and loosened via increasing and decreasing an effective length of the at least one tightening element as measured from the central closure mechanism as it runs between guide elements on the upper and on an instep shield. In accordance with preferred embodiments, the shoe upper has a closed vamp, at least the instep area of which is formed of a volume-elastic compressible material and the instep cover is formed of an elastically bendable material at least approximately matched to the surface contour at least a portion of the instep. Additionally, the central closure is provided on the outside of the back of the upper above the heel, and the tightening element runs from the central closure along both sides of the shoe, via a guide element provided curving around the heel from near the height of the insole, without crossing the instep, to a higher guide element provided on the instep cover and then to a forward guide element lying at the level of the insole on the outside of the shoe upper near the small toe at the medial side of the shoe and in the area between the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe and approximately the center of the arch on the lateral side of the shoe.

Description

The present invention relates to a shoe with a central closure according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a shoe designed as a ski boot is known for example from EP-B1-0 099 504 or from EP-B1-0 132 744. In these ski boots, a central closure is provided on the rear part of the boot shaft, which is known to be made of relatively rigid material. There is a cover that extends over the instep area and the ankle to the base of the shin. This cover is therefore shaped like an angle in the side view. From the central lock, a tensioning element extends on both sides approximately from the sole area in the area of the ankle over the cover. The cover is also made of a relatively rigid material and is used to firmly clamp the foot in the shoe. It is located in the shoe between a soft inner shoe and the rigid outer shell.

Furthermore, it is known from DE-A-35 24 792, in a ski boot on the front shaft part, a bending collar made of rigid material, which is pivotally articulated to the shaft in the region of the ankle and extends up to the middle of the shin. In the upper end area, clamping element ends are attached to the side of the bending collar, which are coupled to a central sliding closure located on the rear part of the shaft. The flexible sleeve can therefore be pulled against the shaft in the shin area.

Finally, from DE-A-39 19 661 a closure for alpine ski boots is known, in which the upper is formed from rigid front and rear shells made of plastic. In order to exert a uniform and symmetrical tensile force on the shaft of such an alpine ski boot, a tension band is guided in several pairs of deflection rollers, which are attached symmetrically to the front and rear shells of the shaft.

The present invention has for its object to provide a shoe that does not have a hard outer shell on the back of the shaft with a central lock, the locking mechanism should be designed so that the elastic properties of the shoe upper are not impaired as possible.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

The present invention ensures that the instep cover is stretched down from the sole on both sides of the shoe. This measure and the use of an elastically bendable instep cover achieves a favorable pressure distribution over the instep, since the instep cover can adapt well to the instep shape. In addition, there is the further advantage that no tensioning element and no closure part extend over the instep, so that there is no risk of local pressure overload.

Further advantageous details of the invention are specified in the subclaims and are described in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawing.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a sole body. A shoe upper or upper 2 is attached to this sole body 1 with the interposition of a heel counter 3 and two lateral guide brackets 4 and 5. The guide bracket 4 provided on the outside of the shoe 6 is located in the small toe area 7 and the guide bracket 5 provided on the inside of the shoe 8 is attached in the area 9 between the big toe joint 10 and approximately the center of the arch of the foot 11. The heel counter 3 is preferably provided with an inwardly extending flange 13 running in the direction of the sole surface 12 or with a plurality of flange sections running in this way in order to achieve good anchoring of the heel counter 3 in the shoe between the sole body 1 and an insole to be provided on its surface 12 . The insole can, for example, form a structural unit with the shaft 2. For the same purpose, the guide brackets 4 and 5 can also each have a tab 14 which runs inwards in the direction of the sole surface 12.

The upper of the shoe has a preferably closed front shoe part 15 and is covered in the area of the instep 16 by an instep cover 17 projecting relatively far to the side. The upper is at least in the area of the instep 16 made of a volume-elastic, compressible material. Plastic foams, such as, in particular, the foam materials known under the trade name “neoprene” or on the basis thereof, or also foams made of polyethylene, polyamide or the like, are particularly suitable. The instep cover 17 is made of an elastically bendable and preferably also at least slightly stretchable material. For example, this elastically bendable and stretchable material consists of a suitable elastomer, which can additionally be laminated onto a fabric. The instep cover 17 should be at least approximately adapted to the instep shape, even if it does not have to completely cover the upper instep. The instep cover 17 can in principle also consist of foamed material or have such a foamed layer, although the degree of foaming of the instep cover is to be kept lower than that of the instep 16 underneath.

In the assembled state, a central lock 19 - the central part of FIG. 1 shows only the position of this central lock - with which at least one rope-like tensioning element 20 is coupled, is arranged on the outside of the shaft 18 in the area above the heel. This tensioning element 20 runs from the central closure 19 on both sides 6, 8 of the shoe around the heel along the heel curve 21, for example in a guide groove 3.1 in the heel cap 3 to the level area 22 of the insole to be inserted. From there, the tensioning element 20 runs, without crossing the instep 16, over a guiding or deflecting element 24 present at a higher level on the instep cover 17 on the lateral end section 23, for example as a guiding groove, to a fixed point provided on the stirrup 4 or 5 - indicated by an X - or to an outer deflection element 25a. There, the clamping element 20 is approximately in height the level of the insole there either fixed or deflected and passed through the shoe sole, for example between the sole part 1 and the insole or an midsole to the other side of the shoe. On the other side of the shoe, namely the inside of the shoe 8, a further deflection element 25i is provided in the area between the big toe joint 10 and approximately the center of the arch of the foot 11. These constructive measures allow the instep cover 17 to be pulled down or tensioned from the sole when the span length of the tensioning element 20 is shortened by the closing part of the central lock 19. As a result, the instep cover 17 presses on the instep over a large area while compressing the shaft material in the instep area and thus with a low surface load. This ensures a good, secure hold of the foot in the shoe without creating pressure points. The entire upper instep area of the shoe can also be provided with a surface that is completely smooth and free of any disturbing elevations.

As already mentioned, the central lock 19 is either fixed to the back of the heel cap 3 or on the upper rear 18 of the upper, or can be fixed there, the heel cap 3 comprising the deflection or guide elements 3.1 for the tensioning element 20.

In the small toe area 7 and in the area 9 between the big toe joint 10 and approximately the center of the arch 11, a guide bracket 4, 5 is provided, each with a tab 14 running in the sole direction and with a section upstanding to the shaft 2, on which the tensioning element 20 can be fixed or is deflectable. The tensioning element 20 can be designed such that it runs approximately in the area 9 between the big toe joint 10 and approximately the center of the arch of the foot 11 from the outside of the shoe 6 to the inside of the shoe 8 within the sole of the shoe. It can there run between an insole and the sole base body 1.

The heel cap 3 and the guide bracket 4, 5 can also be provided with guide openings for the clamping element 20 instead of the guide grooves mentioned. The heel cap 3 can either have an inwardly extending flange 13 which extends in the sole plane or a plurality of such flange sections. The tabs 14 of the guide bracket 4, 5 and the flange 13 or the flange portions of the heel cap 3 are preferably embedded between the sole base body 1 and the insole.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the heel cap 3 and the guide bracket 4, 5 are part of a sole part made of resilient material, such as plastic, for example polyethylene, polyamide or the like. For example, with this sole part made of a single molded or molded part. This type of manufacture lends itself to shoes with an outsole made of relatively rigid, abrasion-resistant material, such as, for example, football shoes. The lug-shaped gripping elements are provided with the position numbers 2a, 2b, 2c. The instep cover 17 shown in FIG. 2 is provided with stiffening elements 27, for example stiffening ribs, which run transversely, for example perpendicularly or at an angle to the longitudinal axis 26 of the shoe. In addition, the instep cover 17, as is also shown in FIG. 2, can be provided with openings and / or depressions 28.

Vorzugsweise besitzt dieser Zentraldrehverschluß 29 - wie an sich bekannt - eine Möglichkeit zur Schnellentrastung.3, a central rotary lock 29 can be provided on the rear 18 of the shaft as a central lock. As is known per se, this central rotary lock 29 preferably has a possibility for quick unloading.

When the central lock is designed as a central slide lock 30, lateral actuation means 31 can be attached according to FIG. 4, which engage in a lateral toothing of the slide. By pressing the same, for example, a quick deblocking can be carried out.
