Claims (5)
- A combination of a film tube (15) for receiving a flowable substance and a device for emptying the tube, wherein the film tube (15) at its dispensing end has a ring (17) and the device comprises a cylindrical housing (1) for receiving the film tube (15) between a displaceable piston (3) and a cap (2), which cap has an annular engaging portion (12) surrounding a dispensing opening (9) and the opening (9) and cooperating with the ring (17) of the film tube (15) to seal the dispensing end of the film tube (15),
characterised in that the ring (17) has a peripheral portion (19) exceeding the inner diameter of the housing (1) for engaging the supporting surface (5) of the housing (1) facing the cap (2). - The combination of claim 1, characterised in that an end portion (4) of the housing (1) and a cylindrical end portion (7) of the cap (2) engage each other, and the peripheral portion (19) of the ring (17) is guided by the inner wall of the outer one of the two end portions (4, 7).
- The combination of claim 2, characterised in that the engaging end portions (4, 7) of the housing (1) and the cap (2) have such axial dimensions that a play is retained between their mutually facing surfaces (6, 8) when both the ring (17) abuts the engaging portion (12) of the cap (2) and the peripheral portion (19) of the ring abuts the supporting surface (5) of the housing (1).
- The combination of any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the end portion (7) of the cap (2) surrounds the end portion (4) of the housing (1), and the end edge of the housing (1) forms the supporting surface (5) for the ring (17).
- The combination of any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the ring (17) has a conical sealing surface (20) and the engaging portion (12) provided in the cap (2) for engaging the sealing surface (20) of the ring (17) is formed by an annular edge.
