Definitions
- the present invention relates to a connector pair with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Such connector pairs are described in a wide variety of configurations in the prior art and are in use. Such constructions are used in particular in the case of high-current connectors. Such designs are also available in large numbers for low-voltage connectors.
- a number of connector pairs are known in the prior art which can be locked together by means of bayonet, screw or snap mechanisms or the like.
- the plug and the socket cannot simply be plugged together without actuating a locking member which, when plugged together, holds the two components in a firmly connected position and can only be actuated to release the two components.
- a hose coupling for fluid-carrying hoses is known from DT 17 75 302.
- an electrical plug connection with two connecting elements is known, the one connecting element having at least one locking element mounted in a positive guidance of a housing and radially displaceable by means of an axial slide, which engages behind a shoulder of the other connecting element in the locking position and by manual displacement of the axial slide acted upon by a spring arrangement can be controlled into an unlocking position which releases the shoulder.
- the spring arrangement is a partially hollow one that surrounds the housing Sheet metal stamped part formed, the hollow areas are actuated by the axial slide.
- the locking members are arranged tangentially to the inner cavity of the housing and move radially outward when the inner cavity of the housing is released.
- the present invention addresses the problem of providing a connector pair of the type mentioned at the beginning, which enables this type of actuation.
- the locking element is designed in the manner defined in the characterizing part of claim 1 in the connector pair mentioned above.
- This configuration allows the plug and the socket to be simply plugged together without the sleeve having to be actuated. It is also possible to bring the sleeve into its actuated position, which may make it easier to plug it together. however, it is not absolutely necessary to move the sleeve.
- a pair of connectors is illustrated in the drawings, in which the plug and socket are designed as circular connectors.
- the idea of the invention can also be implemented in connectors that have an angular cross-sectional shape.
- a plug 1 and a socket 1 'of a connector pair each have a tubular housing 3, 3'.
- Each housing 3, 3 ' can be constructed in one piece, but it can also consist of several sections. If the housing 3, 3 'is constructed in several parts, this has the advantage that different series can be realized, only individual parts having to be replaced in each case. In this way, for example, built-in connectors, coupling connectors, angle connectors etc. can be produced in a simple manner.
- a contact insert 7, 7 'with a plurality of contact pins 9 or contact sockets 9' is arranged in each housing 3, 3 '. Since each contact insert 7, 7 'is set back in relation to each free end 13, 13 of the plug 1 or the socket 1' into the interior of the respective housing 3, 3 ', an interior space 14, 14' remains in each case. Moreover, each interior space 14, 14 'is delimited by the essentially hollow cylindrical inner wall of the respective housing 3, 3' and the respective contact insert 7, 7 '.
- Each contact insert 7, 7 ' can have at least one coding groove (not shown) or a coding spring on its circumference, by means of which the angular position of the plug to be inserted into the socket 1' is defined.
- each latching element 20 which have a three-legged open angular shape.
- Each latching element 20 is pivotably mounted with a free end 22, on which there is a thickening 24, of a first leg 26 via a corresponding web 28 on the outside of the housing 3 '.
- the locking element 20 is pivotally but captively held on the web 28, since the inner wall 32 of the sleeve 30 is mounted at such a close distance to the web 28 that the Thickening 24 at the free end 22 of the first leg 26 does not have the web 28 can go out.
- a second and a third leg 34, 36 are formed on the first leg 26 of the latching element 20 at its end opposite the thickening 24.
- the third leg 36 is integrally connected to the first leg 26 and the second leg 34 represents the kinking extension of the third leg 36.
- the free end of the second leg 34 is in the rest position through an air gap 38 from the first leg 26 (see Fig. 1 or Fig. 2) separately.
- the first leg 26 is slightly convex in the direction of the second and third legs 34, 36 arched.
- the second leg and the third leg 34, 36 of the locking element 20 are received in an opening 39 with play, parts of the second and third legs 34, 36 projecting into the free interior 14 ', so that the plug inserted into the socket 1' 1 or the recess 17 on the outside 15 of the housing 3 come into engagement with the latching element 20, since the second and third legs 34, 36 have correspondingly inclined surfaces like the recess 17.
- the angle between the first leg 26 and the third leg 36 decreases during the transition from the first position to the second position, since the locking element 20 is compressed in the radial direction.
- the outer surface 42 of the second leg 36 is angled twice, with a first kink 46 running in the area of the inner edge of the opening 39 and a second kink 48, which leads into the area of the latching element 20, the farthest into the free interior 14 'of the Socket 1 'or engages in the recess 17.
- the area between the edge 46 and the edge 48 is inclined so that the free end 13 or the front edge of the plug 1 can press the latching element 20 into the opening 39 when the plug 1 and the socket 1 'are plugged together, i.e. the second and third legs 34, 36 are pushed into the opening 39, so that the gap 38 between the free end of the second leg 34 and the first leg 26 almost completely disappears and the convex curvature of the first leg 26 is just bent (see Fig 4).
- the inner wall 32 of the sleeve 30 limits the deformation of the locking element 20 in the radial direction, based on the central axis of the bush 1 '.
- the depression 17 comes to lie directly below the opening 39 with the latching element 20, whereupon the second and third legs 34, 36 push out again from the opening 39 and engage positively in the recess 17.
- the angle which the outer surface 52 of the second leg 34 forms with the outer surface 42 of the third leg 36 is chosen such that it is not possible to pull the plug 1 out of the socket 1 ', since the outer surface 52 of the second leg 34 and the their corresponding surface in the recess 17 are inclined so far that it is not possible to push the latching element 20 outward in the radial direction out of the opening 39.
- the outer surface of the third leg 36 forms an angle of approximately 25 ° to 85 ° with the outer surface 40 of the first leg 26, and the outer surface 52 of the second leg 34 includes the outer surface 42 of the third leg 36 Angles of about 30 ° to 80 °.
- the plug 1 can then be completely pulled out of the socket 1 ′, the latching element 20 being received virtually completely in the free space 62 and the opening 39 during the separation process.
- At least three such locking elements 20 are preferably arranged distributed along the circumference of the bushing 1 'in order to enable secure locking and unlocking.
- Each locking element is made of polyethylene or a similar deformable and wear-resistant material to enable a sufficiently high number of plugging and disconnecting processes for the pair of connectors.
- the locking element can be arranged not only on the side of the socket, but also on the side of the plug.
- the locking assembly consisting of the sleeve 30 with the latching elements 20 accommodated therein can be produced as a separate component (see, for example, FIG. 2), which can be attached to the different installation, coupling, angled connectors, etc. This allows a large number of possible combinations, in particular the manufacture of a flying cable connection with plug and coupling part is greatly simplified.
- the design of the locking elements 20 corresponds exactly to the above-described embodiments of the locking elements in the connector. Their assembly in the sleeve 30 is the same as in the connector described above.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a connector pair with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
Such connector pairs are described in a wide variety of configurations in the prior art and are in use. Such constructions are used in particular in the case of high-current connectors. Such designs are also available in large numbers for low-voltage connectors.
A number of connector pairs are known in the prior art which can be locked together by means of bayonet, screw or snap mechanisms or the like. However, in these known connector pairs, the plug and the socket cannot simply be plugged together without actuating a locking member which, when plugged together, holds the two components in a firmly connected position and can only be actuated to release the two components.
A hose coupling for fluid-carrying hoses is known from
From DE 39 28 710 A1 an electrical plug connection with two connecting elements is known, the one connecting element having at least one locking element mounted in a positive guidance of a housing and radially displaceable by means of an axial slide, which engages behind a shoulder of the other connecting element in the locking position and by manual displacement of the axial slide acted upon by a spring arrangement can be controlled into an unlocking position which releases the shoulder. The spring arrangement is a partially hollow one that surrounds the housing Sheet metal stamped part formed, the hollow areas are actuated by the axial slide.
The locking members are arranged tangentially to the inner cavity of the housing and move radially outward when the inner cavity of the housing is released.
From US-PS 4,017,139 electrical connector is known, in the circular cylindrical spring tongues in the region of their free end have radially inwardly facing cross-sectional projections which can engage in a corresponding annular groove of an oppositely shaped connector. On the outside of the spring elements there are also projections which can dip into a recess in a ring surrounding the spring elements when the ring is displaced in order to detach the two plug connectors from one another. When the connectors are locked, the outer projections of the spring elements rest on the inner wall of the ring, so that the spring elements cannot move radially outwards.
Such a handling option is desirable in view of the simplicity of operation.
Proceeding from this, the present invention addresses the problem of providing a connector pair of the type mentioned at the beginning, which enables this type of actuation.
To solve this problem, the locking element is designed in the manner defined in the characterizing part of claim 1 in the connector pair mentioned above.
This configuration allows the plug and the socket to be simply plugged together without the sleeve having to be actuated. It is also possible to bring the sleeve into its actuated position, which may make it easier to plug it together. however, it is not absolutely necessary to move the sleeve.

A pair of connectors is illustrated in the drawings, in which the plug and socket are designed as circular connectors. However, the idea of the invention can also be implemented in connectors that have an angular cross-sectional shape. There is also the possibility of applying the inventive idea not only to free connectors, but also to installation forms.
A plug 1 and a socket 1 'of a connector pair each have a
A contact insert 7, 7 'with a plurality of
In the area of the
By means of a
In a first position, in which the latching
The second leg and the
The angle between the
The
When the plug 1 is pushed further into the socket 1 ', the
In the embodiment shown, in the rest position, the outer surface of the
Only after the
As illustrated in FIG. 7, the plug 1 can then be completely pulled out of the socket 1 ′, the latching
At least three
It is understood that the locking element can be arranged not only on the side of the socket, but also on the side of the plug.
In addition, the locking assembly consisting of the
The design of the locking
