Definitions
- the invention relates to a spacer fabric according to the preamble of claim 1, a method for producing this spacer fabric according to the preamble of claim 3 and a right-right warp knitting machine for carrying out the method according to the preamble of claim 10.
- Spacer fabrics in which a front and a back fabric base are connected by intermediate threads, have a variety of applications in technology, industrial textiles, automotive engineering, medical textiles, sportswear and the like.
- the spacer fabric can be given numerous desirable properties, such as elastic compliance with pressure, air permeability or moisture transport.
- the raw material which consists of polyester, polyamide, polypropylene or the like, can be used sorted and can therefore be easily recycled.
- the invention has for its object to show a way how to produce a spacer fabric, which has a surface provided with a pole, with reduced material expenditure and with less work.
- the pile threads can be sheared to form plush or velor or to even out the surface.
- the method according to claim 3 is recommended. Because pile threads and retaining threads intersect and thus hang together, when the pile threads are pulled out, the distance between the front and the back fabric shortens as much as the length of the retaining threads allows. The pile-forming parts of the pile threads are therefore stored during the production of the spacer fabric between the front and the back fabric. After pulling out, the compression properties are determined by the holding threads. This type of pole production does not require knitting needles that remain stitchless. Rather, the pile and holding threads can be laid using the full number of knitting needles.
- the opposite processing of the threads of the one thread system and the pile threads according to claim 7 is particularly favorable.
- the first thread system is laid with closed stitches and the pile thread system with open stitches. This gives a plating effect, i.e. the fabric base is covered by the stitches of the pile threads.
- the mesh heads and legs come to rest on the outside of the fabric surface and can thus be particularly easily grasped by the rough scratches of the separate roughing machine.
- the holding threads are advantageously monofilaments. They therefore have a certain elasticity, which leads to the desired recovery properties.
- the development according to claim 9 makes it possible to determine the height of the drawn pile threads.
- a right-right warp knitting machine is recommended for producing such a spacer fabric. It is particularly important here that pile threads and holding threads are only meshed with one fabric base and cross each other.
- the right-right warp knitting machine illustrated in FIG. 1 has a front needle contour 1 with milling plates 2 and knitting needles 3 for producing a front fabric base 4 and a rear needle contour 5 with milling plates 6 and knitting needles 7 for manufacturing a rear fabric base 8.
- the laying bar L1 feeds a first thread system 9 to form the front fabric base 4.
- the laying bar L4 feeds a second thread system 10 to form the rear fabric base 8.
- the laying bar L3 feeds pile threads 11 in such a way that they only mesh with the front fabric base 4.
- the laying bar L2 leads to holding threads 12 which mesh only with the back fabric base 8 and on the Places 13 cross the pile threads 11 such that pile threads and retaining threads hang together.
- FIG. 2 A corresponding layout picture is illustrated in FIG. 2. It should be noted here that the rows of the front knitting needles 3 are denoted by V and the rows of the rear knitting needles by H.
- all thread systems are placed as a jersey, the laying bars L1 and L3 only interacting with the knitting needles of the front row V and the laying bars L2 and L3 only with the knitting needles of the rear row H. Since the laying bar L3 is assigned to the pile threads 11 and the laying bar L2 to the holding threads 12, this results in the crossing of the two threads.
- the pile threads 11 are laid with open stitches, while the threads of the first thread system 9 are processed with closed stitches. This means that the two thread systems are considered in the opposite direction and therefore the front fabric base 4 is covered by the stitches of the pile threads 11.
- a roughing machine 16 has scratches 17 on a rotating carrier 18.
- the scratches 17 grip the sections of the pile threads 11 lying on the top of the front fabric base 4 and pull them outward, so that there are outside pile loops 19 or, if these loops are torn open by the scratches 17, velor results.
- the pile loops 19 can be pulled out until the holding threads 12 rest against the front fabric base 4.
- the volume of the spacer fabric 14 is reduced to a size predetermined by the length of the holding threads 12.
- the pile loops 19 are sheared in a clipper 20 so that a velor or Plush remains on the front outside of the spacer fabric 14.
- FIG. 4 This results in the spacer fabric 21 illustrated in FIG. 4, which has a front fabric base 4, a rear fabric base 8, holding threads 12 in between and pile threads 11 on the outside.
- Different pile heights can be achieved by changing the distance a of the milling plates 2 and 6 and the ratio of the thread infeed speed of pile threads 11 and retaining threads 12. Given a distance a, pile loops with a low height b 1 and retaining loops with a greater height c 1 are obtained when the speed of the pile threads is less than that of the holding threads, as illustrated in FIG. 5. In contrast, you get a larger pile height b2 and a smaller height c2 of the holding loops if the running-in speed of the pile threads is greater than that of the holding shutters. For example, with a sheet height c 1 of the holding threads 12 of 4 mm and 2 mm later pile height b 1 plus 2 mm estimated shrinkage in the raw material, a milling plate spacing of 8 mm should be set.
- pile threads 11 and retaining threads 12 can also be interchanged, so that the pile loops on the outside of the rear fabric base 8 are pulled out.
- Other basic and pile bindings can be used, for example cloth, atlas or fringe. A higher number of bars can be used to achieve special effects.
- the holding threads 12 can also be reduced again of the volume of the spacer fabric 14 are pulled outwards and treated analogously to the pile threads according to FIG. 3. All known plastics and other materials can be considered as thread material.
- the holding threads should be designed as monofilaments with elastic restoring force.
- the new spacer fabric is applicable for the aforementioned and numerous other known and new purposes. It is particularly suitable as a reference material for vehicle interiors, furniture and the like.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a spacer fabric according to the preamble of claim 1, a method for producing this spacer fabric according to the preamble of
Spacer fabrics, in which a front and a back fabric base are connected by intermediate threads, have a variety of applications in technology, industrial textiles, automotive engineering, medical textiles, sportswear and the like. The spacer fabric can be given numerous desirable properties, such as elastic compliance with pressure, air permeability or moisture transport. The raw material, which consists of polyester, polyamide, polypropylene or the like, can be used sorted and can therefore be easily recycled.
If you previously wanted a special surface structure, for example a pile, also in the form of velor or plush, you had to stick an additional layer with this surface structure onto the spacer fabric. This is explained in general form in EP 0 529 671 A2. With this spacer fabric, the intermediate threads are alternately connected to the front and to the back of the fabric. In this way, a reference material is obtained which is suitable for motor vehicle seats, armrests and side wall claddings of motor vehicles.
From US-PS 43 02 953 a right-right warp knitting machine is known in which the intermediate threads meshed with the front and the back fabric are cut open by a knife, so that two plush webs result. Each of these plush webs can carry pile loops on the outside, which result from the fact that pile threads are placed around needles of the two knitting needle bars not used for stitch formation and are subsequently thrown off by them. Since only every second needle forms a stitch, the density of the end product is reduced.
The invention has for its object to show a way how to produce a spacer fabric, which has a surface provided with a pole, with reduced material expenditure and with less work.
This object is achieved by the spacer fabric characterized in claim 1.
With this spacer fabric, it is not necessary to glue on an additional layer. Rather, the pile threads are meshed with the one fabric base and by crossing the retaining threads securely in the spacer fabric anchored. When pulling out the pile threads, the distance from the front to the back of the fabric decreases. The properties of a knitted spacer fabric are retained, however, since a spacing determined by the length of the holding threads cannot be exceeded. Not only are there no operations involved in producing the additional layer and gluing, but there is also considerable savings in weight and material. A further material and weight saving results from the fact that the holding threads, which are responsible for the compression behavior of the spacer fabric, are only meshed with the other fabric base. The elimination of the adhesive also leads to a weight saving. In addition, the fabric manufacturer has no additional investment in a gluing machine.
The pile threads can be sheared to form plush or velor or to even out the surface.
To produce such a spacer fabric, the method according to
The simplest and fastest way is according to
The further developments according to
The opposite processing of the threads of the one thread system and the pile threads according to
The holding threads are advantageously monofilaments. They therefore have a certain elasticity, which leads to the desired recovery properties.
The development according to claim 9 makes it possible to determine the height of the drawn pile threads.
A right-right warp knitting machine according to
In terms of construction, the easiest way to achieve the crossing is to arrange the bars according to
By the opposite control according to

The right-right warp knitting machine illustrated in FIG. 1 has a front needle contour 1 with milling plates 2 and
There are four bars L1 to L4. The laying bar L1 feeds a first thread system 9 to form the
A corresponding layout picture is illustrated in FIG. 2. It should be noted here that the rows of the
Anschließend werden die Polschlingen 19 in einer Schermaschine 20 geschert, so daß ein Velours oder Plüsch an der vorderen Außenseite des Abstandsgewirks 14 verbleibt.3 shows how the spacer fabric 14 thus produced is moved forward in the direction of the
This results in the
Different pile heights can be achieved by changing the distance a of the
There can be deviations from the illustrated embodiments in many ways without departing from the basic idea of the invention. The functions of
The new spacer fabric is applicable for the aforementioned and numerous other known and new purposes. It is particularly suitable as a reference material for vehicle interiors, furniture and the like.
