Description

The invention relates to a spindle for a spinning machine, in particular a ring spinning machine, with an underwinding area provided with a profile.

From the generic DE 90 17 627.8 U1 it is known to provide the underwind area of a textile spindle with axially parallel corrugation, the raised corrugations of which prevent the underwind winding from sliding in the circumferential direction of the spindle. The corrugations do not prevent the underwinding from moving in the axial direction of the spindle.

It is already part of the state of the art (JP Sho-60-21923 - Patent Abstracts of Japan vol. 9, no. 134 (C-285)) to cord the underwind area and produce it by rolling. So far, the cords used, for example, on bottom apron rollers, in which a cord roller has pyramid-shaped depressions between ridges. The cord created in the downwind area of a spindle accordingly consists of pyramid-shaped tips separated by valleys.

It has now been found in practice that a thread which is wound onto the underwind area preferably lies in these valleys, in which it cannot be reached or can only be reached inadequately by a cutting tool, for example milling cutting, by means of which it is to be destroyed .

Accordingly, the present invention is based on the object of designing an underwinding area of a spindle for a spinning machine, in particular a ring spinning machine, in such a way that the thread wound on the underwinding area can be better reached by the cutting tool.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. This has the advantage that the thread wound on the underwind area always rests on these walls. The depressions can be delimited on all sides by ramparts, i.e. there are intersecting ramparts. Alternatively, there is also the possibility of essentially axially parallel depressions.

Since the height of the ramparts is advantageously uniform, the distance of the separating tool to the corded circumference can be adjusted to the crown of these ramparts. The thread is thus presented to the area of action of the separating tool on the crown of the ramparts and can no longer avoid the area of action of this tool.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the depressions can be pyramid-shaped. The cord can also be revised by turning or grinding. This ensures that the concentricity, which is sometimes insufficient during production due to production, is improved and thus allows a smaller adjustment distance between, for example, the milling cutters of the cutting tool and the amount of cord in the underwinding area of the spindle. Furthermore, the overturning or smoothing has the effect that the ramparts are given sharp crown edges which hold the thread lying on securely, i.e. secure the desirable few underwinds when removing the cop against pulling off.

The invention is described below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. The drawing shows:
Fig. 1
a schematic side view of the underwind area of a spindle, partly broken;
Fig. 2
a perspective view of the underwind area provided with depressions in a flat representation;
Fig. 3

In Fig. 1, a spindle 1 of a spinning machine, in particular a ring spinning machine, is shown schematically in side view. This spindle 1 is provided with an underwinding area 2, which is designed in the form of a cord 3.

A cop 4 is attached to the spindle 1, from which a thread 5 runs over a collar 6 to the underwind area 2 and is wound there in some thread layers 7. With the aid of a schematically illustrated separating device 8, which is pressed in the direction of the arrow against the underwind area 2, the thread layers 7 can be destroyed and thus fall from the underwind area 2.

From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the cord 3 of the underwind area 2 consists of depressions 10 which are separated from one another by ramparts 11 with flat crowns 12. These depressions can have any shape, but they are preferably pyramid-shaped.

Fig. 3 shows a section along the line III-III in Fig. 2. As can be seen, the individual threads 5 lie on the flat crowns 12 of the ramparts 11 and due to this special configuration of the cord 3 of the underwind area 2 cannot lie in the depressions 10 store.

The shape of the depressions 10 is shown in FIG. 4 in section. As explained above, these depressions are separated from one another by walls 11 with flat crowns 12. Here, the height of the ramparts 11 is advantageously uniform. The cord 3 can be revised by turning or grinding, which results in an improvement in the concentricity and thus the separating tool 8 can be moved closer to the circumference of the cord 3 in the underwind area 2.

Durch diese Gestaltung der Kordelwalze mit pyramidenförmigen, durch Gräben mit ebenen Grabensohlen voneinander getrennten Spitzen wird die in Fig. 2 schematisch dargestellte Form der Kordelung 3 des Unterwindebereichs 2 erzeugt.FIG. 5 shows that, analogously to FIG. 3, the thread 5 generally only rests on the flat crowns 12 of the ramparts 11 and there is no possibility of being embedded in the depressions 10. A tool, not shown, for producing the underwinding area 2 with depressions 10 consists of a cord roller with pyramid-shaped tips, which are separated from one another by trenches with flat trench soles. This design of the cord roller with pyramid-shaped tips separated from one another by trenches with flat trench soles produces the shape of the cord 3 of the underwinding area 2 shown schematically in FIG. 2.
