Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Schraubdeckel mit einem scheibenförmigen Oberteil und einem an dessen Außenumfang sich anschließenden rechtwinklig dazu erstreckenden Flanschrand mit Innengewinde als Verschlußkappe für einen großvolumigen Behälter, der insbesondere zur Lagerung und zum Transport von gasenden bzw. entgasenden Füllgütern vorgesehen ist, wobei zentralmittig in dem Oberteil eine Entgasungseinrichtung eingesetzt ist.
Derartige Schraubdeckel werden z.B. für großvolumige Palettencontainer mit einem Füllvolumen von z.B. 600 l, 800 l, 1000 l oder mehr sowie auch für Schraubdeckel - L-Ring-Fässer mit einem Füllvolumen von z.B. 60 l bis 220 l verwendet.
Bei einem Einsatz von bestimmten Füllgütern, die beim Transport durch Rüttelbewegungen oder bei einer Lagerung im Freien (z.B. Sonneneinstrahlung und Temperaturschwankungen) besonderen Belastungen ausgesetzt sind oder/und grundsätzlich zur Entgasung neigen, kann sich ein nachteiliger Innendruck (Überdruck oder Unterdruck) im Behälter aufbauen. Daher ist es wünschenswert, einen derartigen Innendruckaufbau zu vermeiden.
Aus der EP-A-0079025 ist ein Schraubdeckel mit einer zentralmittigen Entgasungseinrichtung bekannt, die eine in einem zwischen Gehäuseoberteil und -unterteil gebildeten Ventilraum auf- und abbewegliche Dichtscheibe aufweist. Um die Scheibe herum ist der Gasdurchgangsweg offen, so daß diese Vorrichtung bereits bei einem Ansprechdruck null wirksam ist. In gekippter Stellung bzw. Kopflage soll sich die Scheibe vor die äußere Gasdurchlaßöffnung legen und den Behälter sicher abdichten.

The gas passageway around the disc is open, so that this device is already effective at zero response pressure. Es ist Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, einen Schraubdeckel mit Entgasungseinrichtung für besondere Einsatzzwecke - insbesondere für Großbehälter bzw. große Behälteröffnungen - mit geeigneten Mitteln anzugeben, der einen unerwünschten Druckaufbau verhindert.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß der Außendurchmesser des Schraubdeckels wenigstens 100 mm beträgt, und zentralmittig in dem scheibenförmigen Oberteil des Schraubdeckels eine Öffnung bzw. ein Spundloch mit Gewinde zum Einsetzen eines weiteren Schraubdeckels bzw. Spundstopfens mit entsprechend kleinerem Durchmesser von z. B. ca. 50,8 mm (= 2 Zoll ) vorgesehen ist, wobei der zusätzliche Spundstopfen bzw. der weitere Schraubdeckel mit der Entgasungseinrichtung ausgestattet ist. Mittels der in den weiteren Spundstopfen eingesetzten Entgasungseinrichtung wird ein Druckaufbau oder eine Vakuumbildung im Inneren des Behälters mit Sicherheit vermieden. Die Entgasungseinrichtung kann dabei so ausgelegt sein, daß sich kein höherer Dampfdruck als ca. 0,3 kPa (0,3 bar) in der Gasphase bzw. in dem Freiraum über dem Flüssigkeitsinhalt aufbauen kann.
Dabei kann die Entgasungseinrichtung als Ein-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung zur Innenüberdruck-Entgasung von innen nach außen ausgebildet sein. Hierdurch wird mit Sicherheit der Aufbau eines inneren Überdruckes vermieden, der zu einer bleibenden Deformation bzw. Ausbauchung des Behälters führen könnte. Bei einer solchen Ausführungsvariante ist die Entgasungseinrichtung in vorteilhafter Weise in Form eines in eine Bohrung im Spundstopfen eingedrückten selbstabdichtenden Gummi-Pilznippels (Entlüftungsstopfen aus Silikon-Kautschuk) oder eines pilzartigen Kunststoff-Einsatzstückes mit Gummi-Ringdichtung als Überdrucksicherung ausgebildet, die frühestens bei einem inneren Dampfdruck von 0,25 kPa (0,25 bar), vorzugsweise bei ca. 0,35 kPa (0,35 bar) bis 0,5 kPa (0,5 bar), spätestens aber bei einem inneren Dampfdruck von 0,65 kPa (0,65 bar) öffnet.
In anderer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß die Entgasungseinrichtung als Zwei-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung zur Innenüberdruck-Entgasung und zur Verhinderung von Vakuumbildung innerhalb des Behälters ausgebildet ist. Bei dieser Ausführung der Entgasungseinrichtung wird zusätzlich vermieden, daß ein eventueller Unterdruck im Behälter zu nachteiligen Einbuchtungen der Behälterwandung bzw. Einsenkungen des Oberbodens führen kann. Der Schraubdeckel mit Zwei-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung ist z. B. für Behälter zweckmäßig, die mit heißem Füllgut befüllt werden und bei denen sich ohne Belüftung des Behälters durch Abkühlung des Füllgutes ein Vakuum bilden könnte. Auch bei einer Füllgutentnahme aus dem Bodenventil z. B. eines Palettencontainers wird durch einen Luftzutritt bzw. eine Belüftung über die Zwei-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung im Schraubdeckel der Einfüllöffnung ein gleichmäßiger Auslauf ohne störendes Gluckern und ohne Vakuumbildung im Behälterinneren bewirkt.

In weiterer Ausbildung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß die Entgasungseinrichtung selbst ebenfalls als Gewinde-Schraubstopfen kleineren Durchmessers ausgebildet und zentralmittig in dem Spundstopfen angeordnet ist. So kann der Schraubdeckel z. B. für eine Spundstutzenöffnung von 220 mm eines Großbehälters ausgelegt sein, dann ist der Spundstopfen ein 2"- Spundstopfen (= ca. 50,8 mm) und die Entgasungseinrichtung, z. B. eine permeable Entgasungsfolie, ein poröses Sintermetall oder ein Kunststoff-Faserstopfen, ist mittels eines Haltenapfes in einem 3/4"-Gewinde-Schraubstopfen (= ca. 19,05 mm) befestigt. Bei einem Schraubdeckel für eine 150 mm Spundstutzenöffnung kann der Spundstopfen wiederum die gleiche Größe oder eine Größe von ca. 38,1 mm (= 1 1/2") und der Gewinde-Schraubstopfen ca. 12,7 mm (= 1/2") aufweisen.
Bei Bedarf ist es so möglich, lediglich den kleinen Gewinde-Schraubstopfen mit der Entgasungseinrichtung auszutauschen. Bei Verwendung des Schraubdeckels für nicht gasende Füllstoffe bzw. wenn ein gasdichter Verschluß gewünscht ist, braucht lediglich der kleine Gewinde-Schraubstopfen herausgedreht und durch einen Blindstopfen ersetzt zu werden.
In einer besonderen Ausgestaltungsform ist die Entgasungseinrichtung derart ausgelegt, daß in der Gasphase bzw. in dem Freiraum über dem Flüssigkeitsinhalt kein höherer Innendruck als 0,3 kPa (0,3 bar) aufbaubar ist. Diese Ausführung, bei der keine ständige Entgasung stattfindet, sondem eben erst der vorgegebene Mindestdruck erreicht werden muß, um die Entgasungseinrichtung zu öffnen, dient insbesondere bei der Lagerung von gefährlichen flüssigen Füllgütern als Sicherung gegen überhöhte Überdrücke, z. B. kann damit im Falle eines lokalen Brandes einem Bersten (Zerplatzen) des Behälters bei übermäßiger Erhitzung vorgebeugt werden.

Mit der Bezugsziffer 10 ist in Figur 1 ein erfindungsgemäßer Schraubdeckel für einen Großbehälter bezeichnet. Der Schraubdeckel 10 zeichnet sich zunächst einmal durch seine Größe aus, die 100 mm oder mehr beträgt, aber kleiner als 400 mm ist. Dieser Schraubdeckel hat also nichts mit noch größeren bekannten Schraubdeckeln für Deckelfässer wie z.B. Maische-Fässer zu tun, deren Durchmesser noch über 400 mm liegen kann.
Wie auch Figur 2 zeigt, besteht der Schraubdeckel 10 im wesentlichen aus einem flachen, scheibenförmigen Oberteil 12 und einem sich daran anschließenden, im wesentlichen rechtwinkelig dazu erstreckenden Flanschrand 14 mit Innengewinde. Das Innengewinde hat mindestens drei umlaufende tragende Gewindegänge. Zur Versteifung und zum besseren Sitz des Schraubdeckels ist innen parallel zu dem gewindetragenden Außenflansch 14 ein entsprechender Innenflansch 32 von nahezu gleicher Länge wie der Außenflansch ausgebildet.
Ein kleinerer erfindungsgemäßer Schraubdeckel wird z.B. in einer Größe von ca. 190 mm Außendurchmesser (für ein 150 mm Spundloch) gefertigt, ein anderer etwas größerer Schraubdeckel hat einen Außendurchmesser von ca. 260 mm (für ein 220 mm Spundloch).

Wie in Figur 3 deutlicher erkennbar ist, ist zentralmittig in dem scheibenförmigen Oberteil 12 des Schraubdeckels 10 ein Spundloch 16 (Durchmesser ca. 56 mm) mit Spundlochstutzen 18 und darin eingeformtem Innengewinde ausgebildet. In das Spundloch 16 bzw. in das Innengewinde des Spundlochstutzens 18 ist ein Spundstopfen 20 mit entsprechendem Durchmesser eingesetzt und mittels einer Dichtung gas- und flüssigkeitsdicht abgedichtet.
Vorzugsweise ist der Spundstutzen 18 in einem Spundgehäuse 22 derart versenkt, daß der eingesetzte Spundstopfen 20 im wesentlichen oben bündig mit dem scheibenförmigen Oberteil 12 des Schraubdeckels 10 abschließt.
Der Spundstopfen 20 weist zentralmittig eine Entgasungseinrichtung 24 auf. Die Entgasungseinrichtung 24 kann entweder als Ein-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung zur
Innenüberdruck-Entgasung von innen nach außen oder als Zwei-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung ausgebildet sein. Die Zwei-Wege-Entgasungseinrichtung verhindert zusätzlich eine mögliche Vakuumbildung innerhalb des Behälters. Um den Spundstopfen 20 gegen unberechtigtes Öffnen oder das Eindringen von z.B. Regenwasser in die Entgasungseinrichtung zu schützen, ist weiterhin eine Siegelkappe 26 auf den Spundstopfen 20 bzw. auf den Spundlochstutzen 18 aufgedrückt, die nur durch Zerstörung bzw. Aufreißen von dem Spundstopfen entfernt werden kann.

In Fig. 3 ist die Entgasungseinrichtung in auseinandergeschraubter Form (Explosionsdarstellung) mit ihren Einzelteilen dargestellt. Der Spundstopfen 20 wird mit einem Dichtungsring 34 versehen in den Spundlochstutzen 18 eingeschraubt. Zentralmittig in dem Spundstopfen 20 ist eine Bohrung 36 mit Innengewinde eingebracht, in welche der eigentliche mit einem Dichtungsring 38 versehene Entgasungs-Stopfen 40 (kleiner Gewinde-Schraubstopfen) eingeschraubt wird.
Der Entgasungs-Stopfen 40 hat wiederum eine Bohrung 42, in welche eine permeable Entgasungsfolie 44 eingesetzt und mittels eines eingepreßten Haltekörpers 46 bzw. Halteringes fixiert wird. Anstelle der Entgasungsfolie kann - wie gesagt - in Abhängigkeit von dem Entgasungsverhalten der jeweils eingefüllten Flüssigkeit ein entsprechend gasdurchlässiger aber flüssigkeitszurückhaltender poröser Körper z.B. aus Sintermetall, Sinterkeramik, Gewebestruktur, parallelen Kunststoff-Fasern o.ä. eingesetzt werden. Im Bedarfsfalle braucht also nur der kleine Entgasungs-Stopfen 40 ausgetauscht zu werden; er könnte auch durch einen entsprechenden gasdichten Blindstopfen ersetzt werden. Für den Anwender bietet diese Ausführung der erfindungsgemäßen Schraubkappe große Variationsmöglichkeiten.

Für einen besonderen Fall, z.B. bei Überhitzung müssen Palettencontainer oder großvolumige Fässer für flüssige Füllstoffe eine ausreichende Menge Dampf abgeben können, um zu vermeiden, daß es unter Feuereinwirkung zum Bersten des Verpackungsbehälters kommt.
Dazu ist vorgesehen, daß der Spundstopfen 20 zentralmittig eine kleine Bohrung (ohne Gewinde) von ca. 6,5 mm Durchmesser mit einer nach innen vorstehenden Rastnase aufweist. In die Bohrung ist von oben (von außen) ein steifer pilzartiger Einsatz aus Kunststoff (z.B. Polyethylen oder Polypropylen) eingesetzt, der auf der Unterseite des Pilzkopfes mit einem O-Ring aus Gummi versehen ist und gegen die Oberfläche des Spundstopfens abdichtet.
Der pilzartige Einsatz rastet hinter der Rastnase in der Bohrung ein und dichtet die Bohrung über den O-Ring gegen einen inneren Überdruck ab (nur Einwege-Entgasung von innen nach außen). Nach einem besonderen Merkmal der Erfindung ist der pilzartige Einsatz als Überdrucksicherung so ausgelegt, daß er erst bzw. frühestens bei einem inneren Überdruck von 0,25 kPA (0,25 bar), spätestens aber bei einem Überdruck von 0,65 kPa (0,65 bar) öffnet und Dampfdruck abläßt. Der bevorzugte Öffnungsbereich liegt zwischen 0,35 bis 0,5 kPa.
