Description

The invention relates to a thread cutting device of a ring spinning or twisting spindle with a truncated cone-shaped thread cutting knife, which has on its lower edge a cutting edge formed by grinding only the outside.

Such a thread separating device is already known as prior art (DE 40 15 707 C2), which has a thread separating knife which is arranged between a sleeve receptacle of the spindle and a winding point serving to fix a spinning thread. This thread cutting knife is designed with an edge protruding from the spindle in the radial direction and has an essentially frustoconical shape.

The manufacture of such a thread-cutting knife is costly: the cone area has an opening angle of 45 °, the cutting edge of, for example, 30 ° requiring a clearance angle of 15 °. Due to this special configuration, the thread cutting knives had to be ground individually.

Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to design a thread-cutting knife in a thread-cutting device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it can be produced with a simple structure and at low cost.

This object is achieved in that the grinding surface of the cutting edge lies in a cylinder jacket and that the opening angle of the thread cutting knife is 20 ° to 30 °. This results in the advantage that a plurality of thread-cutting knives according to the invention can be combined into a package and ground together, a cutting angle of 30 ° to 20 ° nevertheless being produced. This results in a significant reduction in manufacturing costs.

In a further embodiment of the invention, in the case of a thread cutting device in which the thread cutting knife has a bearing area which can be placed on the spindle and including the truncated cone area, the bearing area can be designed as a plate plane arranged at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the spindle and provided with an opening for receiving the spindle, on the outer circumference of which the Truncated cone area connects.

This results in a significant simplification in the manufacture of the thread cutting knife according to the invention. For example, the following process steps are provided: punching out an annular disk from the corresponding steel sheet, tapering the outer edge of the annular disk, hardening the conical disks, assembling the conical disks into a package and grinding the conical disk package on its outer circumference by means of a grinding disk or a grinding roller.

In order to ensure that the thread-cutting knives lie against each other only in the processing area as far as possible during the grinding process, spacers for adjacent thread-cutting knives made of sheet steel can be formed in the bearing area. These spacers can be, for example, knobs arranged in the storage area, lugs present in the area of the opening or independent spacer rings resting in the storage area of the thread-cutting knife.

In a further embodiment of the invention - as stated above - there is the possibility of arranging a plurality of thread-cutting knives to form a disc package in which a part of the inner wall of the truncated cone area of a thread-cutting knife rests on the outer wall of the truncated-cone area of the adjacent thread-cutting knife and the bearing areas of the thread-cutting knife are spaced apart by the spacers are arranged from each other. As a result of the height of the spacers, the thread-cutting knives combined to form a disc package advantageously only touch in a partial area of the truncated cone area.

In a further embodiment of the invention there is also the possibility of milling known V-grooves into the hardened disks.

The invention is described below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.

an enlarged view of a thread cutting knife, partially cut;
3, 4 and 5
three ways of attaching spacers between thread cutting knives combined into a disc package.

On the spindle 2, which is equipped in the lower section with an underwinding area 4, a sleeve 3 is shown schematically. Below this sleeve 3 there is a thread separating knife 5 under a cover 19, which is able to unwind 6 cut through, which is clamped between the underwind area 4 and the sleeve 3 and is exposed in this area.

Fig. 2 zeigt das erfindungsgemäße Fadentrennmesser 5 in vergrößerter Ansicht, teils geschnitten. Fig. 2 shows the thread cutting knife 5 according to the invention in an enlarged view, partly in section. As can be seen, this thread separating knife 5 has a bearing area 10 which extends at right angles to the longitudinal axis A-A of the spindle. This storage area 10 is provided with an opening 11 for receiving the spindle 2 and forms a horizontal plate plane.

On the outside of the bearing area 10 is a truncated cone area 12 in the form of a jacket. This truncated cone area 12 is formed on the outside 7 in the form of a cylinder jacket 9, which results in a cutting edge 8 on the lower edge. The outside 7 forms a grinding surface for producing the cutting edge 8. From FIG. 2 it can further be seen that between the truncated cone region 12 and the cylinder jacket 9 there is an opening angle α which is 20 ° to 30 °.

As a result of the configuration shown in FIG. 2, according to which the grinding surface of the cutting edge 8 lies in a cylinder jacket 9 and the opening angle α of the thread separating knife 5 is 20 ° to 30 °, there is the possibility according to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 of several thread separating knives 5, 5 ', etc. to form a disc package S. In this disk package S, part of the inner wall 14 of the truncated cone area 12 of a thread separating knife 5 lies on the outer wall 13 of the truncated cone area 12 of the adjacent thread separating knife 5 '.

The bearing areas 10 of the individual thread-cutting knives 5 and 5 'are spaced apart by spacers. Here, the height of the spacers is dimensioned such that the thread-cutting knives 5, 5 ′, which are combined to form the disk package S, touch only in a partial area of the truncated cone area 12.

According to FIG. 3, the spacers are designed as knobs 15 or 15 ′ arranged in the bearing area 10. The knobs of adjacent thread cutting knives 5, 5 'are e.g. laterally offset from each other, so that a secure resting of the knobs representing the spacers on the relevant bearing area 10 of the underlying thread cutting knife is ensured.

Instead of the knobs 15, 15 'shown in FIG. 3, there is also the possibility according to FIG. 4 that the spacers are designed as lugs 16 arranged in the region of the opening 11, which are located on surfaces 17 and 17' of the adjacent thread cutting knife 5 and 5 'support.

5' gestaltet und werden während der Herstellung des äußeren Randes der Ringscheibe, d.h. des Kegelstumpfbereichs 12 über ein entsprechendes Werkzeug eingeformt.3 and 4, the spacers are designed in one piece with the respective thread-cutting knife 5 or 5 'and are during the manufacture of the outer edge of the ring disk, i.e. of the truncated cone area 12 is molded in using a corresponding tool.

According to FIG. 5, there is the possibility that the spacers are designed as independent spacer rings 18 resting on the bearing area 10 of the thread-cutting knife 5 or 5 '. This also makes it possible to combine the individual thread-cutting knives one above the other to form a disk package S before the outer edge is ground in the truncated cone region 12.

After, for example, according to FIGS. 3 to 5, the individual thread-cutting knives 5 and 5 'are combined to form a conical disk package S, this package is smoothed over on its circumference using a grinding wheel or grinding roller, not shown in more detail. The area 20 can be seen from FIG. 4, which is initially present when the disk package S is formed and is then machined to the outside 7, ie the cylinder jacket 9, by means of a grinding tool (not shown). This results in a simple way Production of the cutting edge 8 with a larger number of thread cutting knives 5, 5 'in a single operation.

According to the invention, there is optionally the possibility of grinding in V-grooves parallel to the grinding axis by means of a grinding wheel with a V-shaped grinding profile (not shown in more detail).

After the final completion of the thread cutting knives 5, 5 ', which have been combined to form the disc package, this disc package S is disassembled, so that the individual thread cutting blades are available in a usable form.
