Claims (10)

  1. A post holder capable of being mounted to the underside of a balcony base plate, suitable for use in connection with forward attached balustrade or balcony handrails, characterized by a one-piece, elongated and profiled body ( 2, 16, 23 ) which, on its surface facing the balcony's base plate, is provided with a slightly raised plane or edge and which, at a point distant from said plane or edge, is provided with a vertically adjustable means for effecting a vertical swivel motion.
  2. A post holder as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the point of contact is arranged near to or at the rear end of said post holder.
  3. A post holder as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said point of contact is provided for in the front half of said post holder.
  4. A post holder as claimed in claim 1 and one of claims 2 or 3, characterized in that for effecting the turning movement or swivel motion of said post holder there is provided a horizontally displaceable wedge (8).
  5. A post holder as claimed in claim 1 and one of claims 2 or 3, characterized in that for the purpose of effecting said swivel motion of said post holder there is provided a vertically adjustable screw ( 20 ).
  6. A post holder as claimed in claims 1, 3 and 4, characterized in that said profiled body shows to have the following features :
    a) it is provided at its front end with a vertically projecting post-receiving socket ( 3 ),
    b) it is provided on its top side near said post-receiving socket ( 3 ), with plane surfaces ( 4, 5, 6 ) within the medium area and at the rear end,
    c) between said plane surface ( 4 ) near said post-receiving socket ( 3 ) and said plane surface ( 5 )within said medium area there is provided an obtuse-angled depression or cavity ( 7 ),
    d) a horizontally displaceable wedge ( 8 ) is provided for at the front face of said depression or cavity ( 7 ),
    e) the surface of said wedge (8) facing the surface of said depression or cavity ( 7 ) is designed to extend slantingly.
  7. A post holder as claimed in claims 1, 2 and 5, characterized in that said profiled body ( 16 ) shows to have the following features :
    a) it is provided at its front end with a vertically projecting post-receiving socket (3),
    b) it is provided on its top side with a plane surface ( 17 ) which extends almost throughout the rear half,
    c) in its center there is provided a short slanting surface area ( 18 ) of a certain greater steepness, which continues to extend up to the front end in the form of a slanting surface area ( 19 ) having a reduced steepness,
    d) in the proximity of the rear end a screw (20) is arranged in such a way that the screwhead (21) comes to lie on the top side, and that the lower end of said screw ( 20 ) is provided with an internal profile (22).
  8. A post holder as claimed in claims 1, 2 and 5, characterized in that said profiled body (23) shows to have the following features:
    a) it is provided at its front end with a vertically projecting post-receiving socket ( 3 ),
    b) it is provided at its rear end and on the top surface with a slightly raised setoff ( 25 ),
    c) from the front end of said setoff ( 25 ) to the front end of said post holder ( 23 ) there extends a slanting surface of minor steepness ( 24 ),
    d) in the front half of said post holder ( 23 ) and below said balcony's base plate ( 1 ) a screw ( 20 ) is arranged in such a way that both the screwhead ( 21 ) on the underside and the lower end of said screw (20) are provided with internal profiles (22).
  9. A post holder as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that the front face of said depression or cavity ( 7 ) is provided with a guide web member ( 13 ), and that the surface of said wedge ( 8 ) is provided with a corresponding guide groove ( 14 ).
  10. A post holder as claimed in claims 1 through 8, characterized in that within the central area ( 5 ) there is provided a countersunk oblong hole ( 12 ) disposed within a depression or cavity ( 15 ).
