Abstract
Description
- Comme appareil radio portatif, à portée limitée, on peut par exemple considérer un terminal de radiotéléphonie mobile telle que la radiotéléphonie cellulaire ou la radiotéléphonie de proximité.
- Le terminal comporte un boîtier de taille limitée dans lequel un microphone et un écouteur permettent à l'utilisateur de communiquer avec un interlocuteur distant. Un circuit émetteur-récepteur radio relie le microphone et l'écouteur à une antenne du terminal accordée aux fréquences d'émission et de réception.
- L'antenne d'un terminal de radiotéléphonie se présente souvent sous forme d'un conducteur linéaire relié, par une extrémité, au circuit émetteur-récepteur et qui fait saillie hors du boîtier. L'antenne peut toutefois être rétractable pour en limiter l'encombrement au repos.
- Ce type d'antenne présente l'inconvénient d'augmenter sensiblement l'encombrement du terminal et de nécessiter, si tel est le cas, une manoeuvre pour la déployer et la reployer.
- La présente invention vise à proposer une antenne pour appareil radio portatif, de faible encombrement, et ne nécessitant aucune manoeuvre.
- A cet effet, l'invention concerne une antenne pour appareil radio portatif, comportant un conducteur linéaire agencé pour être relié à un circuit radio, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte une plaquette de circuit micro-ruban portant, le long d'un bord, une bande conductrice constituant, au moins partiellement, le conducteur.
- La plaquette de circuit micro-ruban présente un encombrement très limité, ce qui permet de disposer l'antenne en position de fonctionnement et, par exemple, à l'intérieur du boîtier de l'appareil radio portatif.
- De préférence, une liaison conductrice relie le conducteur à un bord opposé de la plaquette et il est prévu des moyens de raccordement pour relier au circuit radio l'extrémité de la liaison conductrice située sur le bord opposé.
- Avantageusement, le conducteur s'étend sur une face de la plaquette et il est prévu un autre conducteur s'étendant dans un plan parallèle à celui de la face considérée pour coopérer avec ledit conducteur.
- On peut ainsi, par exemple, exciter l'un des conducteurs par couplage capacitif à partir de l'autre et optimiser les caractéristiques de l'antenne.
- L'invention sera mieux comprise à l'aide de la description suivante de la forme de réalisation préférée de l'antenne de l'invention, en référence au dessin annexé, sur lequel :
- la figure 1 représente schématiquement l'antenne de l'invention, montée sur un boîtier de terminal mobile de radiotéléphonie ;
- les figures 2 à 10 représentent les faces avant et arrière de diverses formes de réalisation de l'antenne de l'invention et
- la figure 11 représente la face avant et le côté gauche d'une autre forme de réalisation de l'antenne.
- L'antenne 1 représentée sur la figure 1 est montée à l'extrémité, ici supérieure, d'un boîtier 11 d'un terminal mobile de radiotéléphonie et est raccordée à un circuit émetteur-récepteur radio 13.
- L'antenne 1 comporte une tranche, ou plaquette, de circuit micro-ruban (micro-strip), ici à section rectangulaire, constituée d'un isolant 2 et, en bordure, d'une couche, ou bande, d'un conducteur linéaire en micro-ruban 3.
- Dans cet exemple, la liaison du conducteur 3 avec le circuit radio 13 s'effectue par une métallisation 4 joignant le bord de la plaquette portant le conducteur 3 au bord opposé de fixation à l'extrémité du boîtier 11. La plaquette s'étend perpendiculairement à l'extrémité transversale du boîtier 11. Une plage de connexion 9, ou pied de l'antenne 1, permet, par un fil, de relier entre l'extrémité libre de la liaison 4 au circuit radio 13.
- Dans cet exemple encore, le boîtier 11 est revêtu intérieurement d'une couche métallique 12 formant masse et s'étendant, depuis le pied 9 de l'antenne 1 jusqu'à une interruption, sur une distance sensiblement égale au quart de la longueur d'onde de fonctionnement de l'antenne 1. Cette couche 12 sert de réflecteur et augmente le rendement de l'antenne 1. Au-delà de cette interruption, le boîtier peut être revêtu d'une autre couche métallique.
- Il est aussi prévu un enrobage isolant 10, représenté sur la figure 1 de façon fragmentaire, recouvrant le boîtier 11 et qui se prolonge par une partie massive 10A formant un radôme noyant l'antenne 1 et la protégeant ainsi mécaniquement.
- Différentes formes de réalisation de l'antenne de l'invention vont maintenant être décrites.
- Sur les figures 2 à 11, la plaquette est représentée selon la tranche du circuit micro-strip, en vue avant et en vue arrière. La plaquette comporte une face avant 21, une face arrière 22, ici parallèle à la face avant 21, et deux paires de bords opposés 23, 25 et 24, 26. Le bord 25, de fixation au boîtier, porte une couche conductrice, non représentée, formant plan de masse, à travers laquelle est ménagé un passage pour l'excitation de l'antenne.
- La plaquette, pour fixer les idées, peut avoir 45 millimètres de long et 20 millimètres de large (hauteur de l'antenne). Son épaisseur, mesurée perpendiculairement au plan des figures, peut être de 15 millimètres. Sa fréquence d'accord peut être comprise entre 100 MHz et quelques GHz, par exemple.
- Sur la figure 2, le conducteur 3 est imprimé sur la face 21, sur une certaine épaisseur de la plaquette, sans atteindre la face arrière 22, libre de tout conducteur.
- Le conducteur 3 se poursuit par la liaison 4 imprimée le long du bord 26 et rejoignant au point A le pied 9 situé sur le bord 25, ici approximativement à mi-longueur. Le conducteur 3 se prolonge aussi par une liaison 5, opposée à la liaison 4, imprimée le long du bord 24.
- Comme le montre la figure 2, le conducteur 3-5 a une forme d'antenne fouet repliée.
- La largeur du conducteur 3, dans le plan de la figure, a été choisie suffisamment grande pour assurer une efficacité suffisante à l'antenne 1.
- Sur la figure 3, la face avant de la plaquette est assez semblable à celle de la figure 2, mais les extrémités A et B du conducteur 3-5 peuvent être reliées à la masse. La face arrière 22 de la plaquette porte un autre conducteur 6, disposé pour coopérer avec le conducteur 3-5.
- Le conducteur 6 s'étend en s'élargissant depuis une extrémité C d'excitation, au niveau du bord 25, jusqu'au bord opposé 23.
- On comprendra que, pour l'antenne 1, I'extrémité d'excitation reçoit un signal d'excitation du circuit radio 13 s'il émet, ou excite ce circuit radio 13 s'il est en réception. Lorsque le conducteur 6 est excité en C, il excite à son tour, par effet capacitif, le conducteur 3-5 qui rayonne alors.
- La figure 4 représente un conducteur-antenne sensiblement en forme de T, dont les extrémités de la barre horizontale se prolongent par des liaisons le long des bords 24 et 26 terminées par des extrémités B et C pouvant être mises à la masse. L'excitation est prévue au pied A de la barre centrale verticale 4T du T, sur le bord 25. La face arrière 22 ne comporte aucun conducteur.
- Sur la figure 5, la face avant 21 est sensiblement semblable à celle de la figure 4, tandis que la face arrière 22 est pratiquement semblable à celle de la figure 3, son conducteur 6 pouvant être excité par son extrémité D.
- La figure 6 représente une antenne de type sabre, comportant, sur la face avant 21, des conducteurs le long des bords 23, 26 et, partiellement, 24. Les extrémités B et C des conducteurs sur ces bords peuvent être reliées à la masse. Une liaison d'excitation 7 relie une extrémité A, sur le bord 25, à, sensiblement, la jonction des conducteurs sur les bords 23 et 26. La face arrière 22 est libre de conducteur.
- La face avant 21 de l'antenne de la figure 7 est assez semblable à celle de la figure 6, sans la liaison d'excitation 7. La face arrière 22 porte un autre conducteur, d'extrémité C, de forme assez voisine de ceux des figures 3 et 5.
- La face avant 21 représentée sur la figure 8 comporte deux conducteurs 8, 8A couplés, formant dipôle, en forme de "n" adjacents et disposés symétriquement par rapport à un axe de symétrie 1A équidistant des bords 24 et 26. L'un, 8, des conducteurs peut être excité par son extrémité B voisine de l'autre conducteur 8A, les trois autres extrémités A, C, D pouvant être mises à la masse.
- La face arrière 22 porte un autre conducteur 8C servant à modifier l'impédance vue par les deux autres conducteurs 8, 8A et ainsi régler la fréquence d'accord.
- Sur la figure 9, le conducteur d'extrémités CD de la forme de réalisation de la figure 8 a été reporté sur la face arrière 22, au dos de son emplacement sur la figure 8, et le conducteur 8C a disparu.
- La figure 10 représente une antenne de type sabre assez semblable à celle de la figure 6. Une excroissance C de la liaison d'excitation voisine de l'extrémité d'excitation B permet d'adapter l'antenne, I'extrémité A sur le bord 26 étant mise à la masse. Le long du bord 24 s'étend le prolongement 5 qui est couplé capacitivement à une plage conductrice D imprimée depuis l'arête formée par les bords 24 et 25.
- Sur la figure 11, qui représente la plaquette vue de face et de côté gauche, l'antenne, aussi de type sabre, a sensiblement la forme de celle de la figure 6. Elle comporte, comme le pourrait aussi toutes les autres formes de réalisation précédemment décrites, une plaque conductrice 1C reliée au conducteur 3 et s'étendant sensiblement parallèlement au bord 23 le long duquel s'étend ce conducteur 3, perpendiculairement aux faces 21 et 22. La plaque 1C a pour effet d'accroître la bande-passante de l'antenne 1.
- Il peut être prévu d'enlever du matériau diélectrique afin de modifier les caractéristiques de rayonnement de l'antenne. Il peut aussi être prévu des éléments conducteurs massifs.
Claims (8)
- Antenne pour appareil radio portatif, comportant un conducteur linéaire (3) agencé pour être relié à un circuit radio (13), caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte une plaquette de circuit micro-ruban portant, le long d'un bord (23), une bande conductrice constituant, au moins partiellement, ledit conducteur (3).
- Antenne selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle une liaison conductrice (4, 4T) relie le conducteur (3) à un bord opposé (25) de la plaquette.
- Antenne selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle il est prévu des moyens de raccordement (9) pour relier au circuit radio (13) I'extrémité de la liaison conductrice (4) située sur ledit bord opposé (25).
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, dans laquelle le conducteur (3) se prolonge (4) le long d'un autre bord (26) de la plaquette.
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, dans laquelle le conducteur (3) s'étend sur une face (21) de la plaquette et il est prévu un autre conducteur (6) s'étendant dans un plan parallèle à celui de la face (21) dudit conducteur (3) pour coopérer avec ledit conducteur (3).
- Antenne selon la revendication 5, dans laquelle ledit autre conducteur (6) s'étend sur une face (22) opposée à ladite face (21).
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications 1 à 6, dans laquelle une plaque conductrice (1C) est reliée audit conducteur (3) et s'étend sensiblement parallèlement à ce conducteur (3).
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications 1 à 7, dans laquelle il est prévu une couche conductrice (12) pour constituer un plan réflecteur s'étendant, depuis un pied (9) de l'antenne, sur une distance sensiblement égale au quart de la longueur d'onde de fonctionnement de l'antenne.
