Abstract

The invention relates to a security device, particularly an anti-theft device of the type capable of securing the steering wheel to the steering column or releasing the steering wheel from the steering column of the vehicle. According to the invention, the security device (10) comprises a base (200) integral with the steering column and topped with a central head (202); a casing (100) rotationally integral with the steering wheel and mounted on the base (200), the casing comprising a guiding channel wherein is housed a coupling slide (300) movable between a position for direct coupling with the central head (202) and an uncoupled position, which slide is subjected to the action of springs (308) which tend to return it to its coupled position; a lock assembly (400) is arranged in a secondary housing (103), with a cycle sleeve (404) and a movable shaft (405), the latter co-operating with an extension of the coupling slide for locking in the uncoupled position, or for release from the coupled position; an external pusher arm (500) brings the slide (300) back to its uncoupled position.

En variante des dispositifs précités, on a récemment proposé une articulation excentrée permettant le pivotement du volant autour d'un axe parallèle à celui de la colonne de direction, mais décalé par rapport à celui-ci : une pièce amovible, disposée latéralement, assure l'accouple- ment avec la colonne de direction lorsqu'elle est mise en place, et permet le désaccouplement lorsqu'elle est retiré pour être emportée (le volant tournant alors sur l'articula tion excentrée) . On notera la présence d'un ressort de torsion 510 qui tend à faire pivoter le bras de manoeuvre 504 dans le sens de la rentrée de la tige-poussoir à l'intérieur du boîtier. La figure 29 permet de distinguer une première échancrure 122 associée aux pattes 505 du bras de manoeuvre 504, avec un perçage 123 associé à l'axe d'articulation 506 dudit bras. Une autre échancrure 124 est prévue pour recevoir l'ergot retourné 508 de ce bras. Le bras de manoeuvre 504 constitue ainsi un élément visuel d'alarme, le facteur visuel pouvant être encore renforcé en prévoyant par exemple une pastille phosphorescente sur l'ergot retourné prévu en extrémité de ce bras. En variante, 1'extrémité du bras pourra être conformée en forme de bouton de manoeuvre (comme illustré sur la figure 35), afin de faciliter l'actionnement dudit bras par cette extrémité pour faire rentrer la tige-poussoir. L corps de boîtier 101 présente enfin, en partie inférieure, u gorge 119 associée au jonc 126 assurant la liaison entre l bague d'assujettissement 125 et ce corps de boîtier, et, e partie supérieure, une gorge analogue 116 associée à un jon 603 assurant la liaison entre ledit boîtier et son couvercl de fermeture 600. Le boîtier 100 est solidarisé en rotatio avec le volant par l'intermédiaire du couvercle central 600 qui est clipsé par le jonc 603 sur ledit boîtier, ce couver cle central étant verrouillé en rotation par des moyen associés accessibles par l'extérieur du boîtier. En l'espèce le couvercle central 600 est réalisé en deux parties 601 602, s'emboîtant l'une dans l'autre, et solidarisées l'une l'autre de manière indémontable, le mode de solidarisatio réalisé ici étant un encliquetage au moyen d'un jonc associ 604. Le couvercle central 600 comporte ainsi une parti inférieure qui est verrouillée au boîtier 100, et une parti supérieure 602 en forme de bague s'emboîtant dans ladit partie inférieure, cette partie supérieure 602 présentan quant à elle les taraudages 611 associés à la fixation d volant, comme cela est mieux visible sur les figures 32 e 33. Ces figures permettent également de voir la présence d perçages 610 sur la partie supérieure de couvercle 602 e forme de bague, ces perçages étant associés à des goupille assurant la liaison en rotation entre les deux parties d couvercle central 600. L'intérêt d'une telle réalisation d couvercle central en deux parties réside dans la possibilit d'adapter facilement la partie supérieure en forme de bague à chaque type de fixation de volant : lors du montage initial, il suffit de monter cette partie supérieure formant pièce d'adaptation sur la partie inférieure déjà mise en place. L'obstruction peut être assurée par une rondelle formant cache. Lorsque l'on veut modifier le calage angulaire du volant, il suffit alors de dégager les vis 132 et 133, puis de faire tourner de la valeur angulaire désirée le volant avec le couvercle central par rapport au boîtier, le blocage étant ensuite à nouveau réalisé par les vis 132 et 133 précitées. Il peut s'avérer intéressant d'utiliser également un moyen d'indexage à bille 135 (illustré sur la figure 8), constitué par une vis support 136 insérée dans un taraudage 137 du boîtier, cette vis support présentant une bille d'indexage 138 qui pénètre dans l'une ou l'autre des cuvettes 612 du couvercle central 600 à la manière d'un cliquet.
