In the machine proposed, guide rods (24, 32, 34) with thread carriers (26, 36, 38) are disposed over the needles (4). In order to increase the number of guide rods possible and/or to improve access to the guide-rod area, the machine is fitted with at least one group (G1 to G7) of at least two superposed guide rods (36, 38), the guide rods being fitted in such a way that the thread carriers on the superposed guide rods (32, 34) do not cross each other.

Description

The invention relates to a knitting machine, in particular a crochet galloon machine according to the preamble of claim 1.

Wirkmaschinen bzw. A large number of knitting machines or crochet gallon machines are known, for example from DE-A-30 34 253. The problem here is that the area above the knitting needles is relatively limited, so that only a likewise limited number of laying bars and corresponding thread guides can be arranged. However, this limits the pattern of such a knitting machine.

A warp knitting machine is known from DE-B-1 287 727, in which a plurality of laying bars which can be moved individually in the longitudinal direction are arranged one above the other in a laying bar holder which is U-shaped in cross section. The laying bars contain upper and lower longitudinal grooves. The laying bars support each other via rollers. Bars arranged in the recess of the laying bar holder engage in an upper longitudinal groove of the upper laying bar and in a lower longitudinal groove of the lower laying bar. In addition, fitting screws are used for the bracket, which reach through longitudinal slots in the rear wall of the laying bar holder and are screwed to the laying bars. Arms serve as thread guides, which are screwed to the side of the laying bars by means of screws. This laying bar arrangement is very complicated, requires a lot of construction volume and is particularly difficult to handle because of the side screwing of the arms on the laying bars.

Laying rods are known from US Pat. No. 3,303,670, each of which has a plurality of longitudinal receiving grooves in which thread guides are arranged by means of a corresponding foot part. This device is also complicated, requires a lot of construction and handling volume, and the thread guides of an offset row are also not individually operable.

The object of the invention is to further improve a knitting machine, in particular crochet gallon machine of the type mentioned.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The formation of the laying bars as an upright flat profile and the mutual interlocking of the laying bars arranged one above the other in the main level of a group results in a stable design which can be operated without laying bar holders. The mutual guidance of the laying bars of a group results in an optimal and precise guidance of the laying bars and the thread guides. The mutual support reduces the bending of the laying bars to a minimum. This enables high effective speeds of up to 2000 revolutions / minute to be achieved. The mutual guidance of the laying bars also obviates the otherwise necessary anti-twist protection for the laying bars, which leads to a simpler and therefore less expensive construction. This design enables a small construction volume and the placement of thread guides from the top of the laying bars, which not only reduces the construction volume required but also, in particular, makes it easy to use from above. Access to the thread guides for setting and / or for the purpose of thread repair is thus possible in the simplest way and without restrictions.

Advantageous configurations of the knitting machine are described in claims 2 to 4.

The advantages of the invention already arise, as mentioned above, if only some of the laying bars are combined into groups of laying bars arranged one above the other. However, an embodiment according to claim 2 is particularly advantageous.

In principle, it is possible that the thread guides of a group of the laying bars can act on different offset lines. However, an embodiment according to claim 3 is more advantageous, as a result of which the adjustment work is made considerably easier.

The supply of the threads to the thread guides is significantly improved by a further development of the knitting machine according to claim 4. This is particularly important when the number of laying bars and thread guides is particularly large.

On a reciprocating knitting needle bar 2 knitting needles 4 are attached are guided back and forth on a tee bar 6. The knock-off bar 6 is preceded by a guide rail 8 which, with the knock-off bar 6, forms a guide gap 10 through which the knitted fabric 12 is guided to take-off rolls 14, 16. The knitting needles 4 are preceded by a warp needles 20 arranged on a warp bar 18, which execute a swiveling movement around the knitting needles and insert warp threads 22 into the associated knitting needles 4.

Above the knitting needles 4, on the one hand, there is a single laying bar 24 with a thread guide 26 which feeds a thread 28, for example a rubber thread, to the knitting needles 4 via a perforated needle 30 of the thread guide 26. On the other hand, there are groups G 1 to G 7 of laying bars 32, 34 arranged in pairs one above the other, to which thread guides 36 and 38 are fastened with tube needles 40. The thread guides 36 and 38 are designed as clip-on brackets which cooperate either with the lower or with the upper laying bar 32, 34. For this purpose, each thread guide 36, 38 has a locking part 44 which engages in locking recesses 42 of the laying bar 32, 34 and a bridging part 46 which bridges the other laying bar in each case engages in the laying bar 32,34 to prevent unwanted loosening of the thread guide. The head part 52 of the thread guides 36, 38 also contains a guide 54 in the form of a guide eyelet for guiding the supplied thread 56. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 2, the thread guides 36 are connected to the lower laying bar 32 and the thread guides 38 are connected to the upper laying bar 34 , wherein the thread guides of a group G 1 and G 2 are each guided along an offset line 58.60.

The laying bars 32, 34 of each group G 1 to G 7 are designed as flat materials and are mutually supported. For this the lower laying bar 32 contains a web 62 which projects upwards in the main plane of the laying bar and which engages in a corresponding groove 64 of the adjacent laying bar 34. The laying bars, which are reciprocating in their longitudinal direction, are each supported at the ends in a bearing block 66 in order to place the thread 28, 56 in the form of a weft thread over at least one knitting needle due to the reciprocating movement. The bearing block 66 also executes an upward and downward movement in order to move the thread guides from a position above the knitting needles 4 to a position below the knitting needles.

Der Antrieb der Legestangen 24,32,34 erfolgt in herkömmlicher Weise, beispielsweise analog dem Ausführungsbeispiel in der bereits eingangs genannten DE-A-30 34 253.The laying bars 24, 32, 34 are driven in a conventional manner, for example analogously to the exemplary embodiment in DE-A-30 34 253 already mentioned at the beginning.
