Abstract

Self-adhesive label for labelling cylindrical or prismatic, preferably medical containers, having at least one detachable edge section 2, which is intended for reproducing the information contained on the self-adhesive label 1 at another location. The edge section is underlaid with a film of smooth coating, which prevents permanent adhesive bonding of the edge section with its substrate, so that the edge section can be detached as and when desired. The self-adhesive label is simple to produce and can be printed over its entire surface virtually with any desired printing device. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Selbstklebeetikett vorzugsweise zur Etikettierung von zylindrischen oder prismatischen Behältnissen, mit einer selbstklebenden Obermaterialbahn, die mindestens einen abtrennbaren Randabschnitt aufweist, und mit Mitteln zur Verhinderung einer dauerhaften Klebeverbindung zwischen dem abtrennbaren Randabschnitt und seiner Unterlage nach dem Anbringen des Etiketts auf dem Behältnis.The invention relates to a self-adhesive label, preferably for labeling cylindrical or prismatic containers, with a self-adhesive upper material web which has at least one detachable edge section, and with means for preventing a permanent adhesive connection between the detachable edge section and its base after the label has been attached to the Container.

Bei dem bekannten Selbstklebeetikett ist vorgesehen, daß es an dem dem abtrennbaren Randabschnitt entgegengesetzten Ende mindestens einen Bereich mit einer klebstoffabweisenden Glattschicht aufweist, und daß es von der Außenkante des abtrennbaren Abschnitts bis zur Außenkante des die Glattschicht aufweisenden Bereichs eine Abmessung hat, die größer als der einfache und kleiner als der zweifache Umfang des zu etikettierenden Behältnisses ist. Bei der Etikettierung eines Behältnisses liegt der abtrennbare Abschnitt auf dem die Glattschicht aufweisenden Bereich und kann von diesem leicht entfernt werden. Um die Klebstoff abweisende Glattschicht aufzubringen, ist jedoch eine spezielle Druckmaschine erforderlich. Wenn die Glattschicht angebracht ist, kann an dieser Stelle das Etikett nicht mehr bedruckt werden. Das Bedrucken des Etiketts mit Schrift- und Bildzeichen muß daher vor dem Aufdrucken der Glattschicht erfolgen. Auch diese Schutzfolie ist durch eine Perforation in zwei Teile unterteilt, wobei jedoch die Perforation der Schutzfolie versetzt zur Schwächungslinie des Etiketts verläuft. Das bekannte Etikett wird so verarbeitet, daß ein Schutzfolienbereich abgezogen und das Etikett dann mit dem freiliegenden Haftmittel an einer Flasche angeklebt wird. Daraufhin kann das Etikett an der Schwächungslinie getrennt werden, und der abgetrennte Teil kann beispielsweise in eine Dokumentationsunterlage eingeklebt werden. Derartige Etiketten benötigen viel Platz, da gewissermaßen zwei Informationsträger nebeneinander angeordnet sind. Für kleine Behältnisse, wie beispielsweise medizinische Ampullen, ist das bekannte Etikett nicht geeignet. Da die Schutzfolie in zwei Etappen von Hand abgelöst werden muß, eignet sich das Etikett auch nicht für ein maschinelles Aufspenden auf ein Behältnis.From DE-A-29 29 659 a self-adhesive label is known which is divided into two parts by a line of weakness. Aus der DE-A-36 25 904 ist des weiteren ein Selbstklebeetikett bekannt, bei dem zwei ein Druckbild aufweisende Selbstklebefolien unter Zwischenschaltung einer Glattschicht übereinander angeordnet sind. Nach dem automatischen Aufspenden des Selbstklebeetiketts auf ein Behältnis kann das obere Etikett entfernt und beispielsweise in eine Dokumentationsunterlage eingeklebt werden. Die Information über den Inhalt des Behältnisses wird danach auf dem unteren Etikett sichtbar. Dieses bekannte Selbstklebeetikett ist zwar platzsparend, bei dem Etikettieren von sehr kleinen Behältnissen mit einem sehr kleinen Krümmungsradius hat es sich jedoch gezeigt, daß an den Etikettenrändern Spuren von Klebstoff austreten. Dies ist darauf zurückzuführen, daß bei dem Anordnen des Etiketts auf einem Behältnis mit sehr keinem Krümmungsradius die beiden Etikettenlagen eine unterschiedliche Dehnung erfahren. Der Klebstoffaustritt wird insbesondere im medizinischen Bereich als störend empfunden. Aus der EP-A-0 239 273 ist ein Selbstklebeetikett aus zwei nebeneinander angeordneten, durch eine Perforationslinie trennbaren Teilen bekannt. Um zu verhindern, daß der abtrennbare Teil eine dauerhafte Klebeverbindung mit seiner Unterlage (Arzneimittelflasche oder Oberfläche des übrigen Teils des Etiketts) eingeht, ist vorgesehen, daß der Klebstoff des abtrennbaren Teils mit einem Ölfilm bedruckt wird oder in sonstiger Weise die Klebewirkung in diesem Bereich reduziert wird. Dies hat jedoch zur Folge, daß der abtrennbare Teil nach seiner Abtrennung infolge der reduzierten Klebewirkung auch nicht mit ausreichender Festigkeit in einer Dokumentationsunterlage oder beispielsweise an einer Spritze haften bleibt.EP-A-0 239 273 discloses a self-adhesive label consisting of two parts which are arranged next to one another and can be separated by a perforation line. In Figur 1 ist ein Trägerband 8 zu erkennen, das eine klebstoffabweisende Glattschichtoberfläche aufweist. Auf dem Trägerband 8 sind zwei Selbstklebeetiketten 11 gemäß der Erfindung angeordnet. Zu jedem Selbstklebeetikett 11 gehört eine Obermaterialbahn 1 und ein Streifen 3 einer Glattschichtfolie, die an ihrer zu dem Trägerband 8 weisenden Seite eine Selbstklebeschicht 5 aufweist. Die Obermaterialbahn 1 ist an ihrer zum Trägerband weisenden Seite mit einer Klebstoffschicht 4 versehen. Klebstoffschichten sind in den Zeichnungen stets durch dicke schwarze Linien angedeutet. Die Glattschichtfolie 3, bei der es sich um eine nur wenige µ dicke Silikonfolie handelt, ist von der selbstklebenden Obermaterialbahn 1 überdeckt, die das eigentliche Etikett darstellt. Das Etikett haftet mit seiner klebstoffbeschichteten Seite einerseits auf der Oberseite des Trägerbandes 8 und andererseits auf der Oberfläche der Glattschichtfolie 3. Das Obermaterial 1 ist mit einer Perforationsstanzung 6 versehen, durch die ein Randbereich 2 abgetrennt wird, der unmittelbar über der Glattschichtfolie 3 liegt. Der Randbereich 2 ist durch eine Querstanzung 7 in zwei Teile unterteilt. In den Bereichen 9 und 10 ist die Klebstoffschicht 4 der Obermaterialbahn 1 bedruckt, sodaß dort keine Klebewirkung entsteht und die genannten Bereiche 9 und 10 als Anfaßlasche dienen können. Der Gebrauch des Etiketts 11 soll im folgenden an Hand der Figur 3 näher erläutert werden. In Figur 3 ist das Etikett 11 im Querschnitt gezeigt, wie es um den Bauch einer Arzneimittelampulle gewunden ist. Die Ampulle selbst ist aus Gründen der Übersichtlichkeit nicht dargestellt. Das Obermaterial 1 haftet mit seiner Klebstoffschicht 4 auf der Oberfläche einer Arzneimittelampulle. Das Etikett weist eine Breite auf, die größer als der Umfang der Arzneimittelampulle ist, sodaß es auf der Arzneimittelampulle überlappend angeordnet werden kann, d.h. der Randabschnitt 2 liegt über dem entgegengesetzen Randbereich der Obermaterialbahn 1. Auf der Klebstoffschicht 4 haftet im Bereich des Randabschnitts 2 die Glattschichtfolie 3. Die Glattschichtfolie 3 weist eine Klebstoffschicht 5 auf. Wenn der Randabschnitt 2 gegen seinen Untergrund gedrückt wird, wie dies in der Vergrößerung der Figur 4 gezeigt ist, verbindet sich die Klebstoffschicht 5 fest mit der Obermaterialbahn 1 des Etiketts, die unmittelbar unter dieser Schicht liegt.The use of the label 11 will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIG. 3. Das Hervorquellen von Klebstoff, das sonst beim Etikettieren von besonders kleinen Behältnissen auftritt, ist vollkommen vermieden. Da es sich jedoch bei der Folie 3 um eine Folie mit einer Glattschichtoberfläche handelt (Silikonfolie), ist die Haftung zwischen der außen liegenden Materialbahn und der Glattschichtfolie herabgesetzt, sodaß der Randabschnitt 2 mit dem Fingernagel angehoben werden kann. Das Anheben des Randabschnittes 2 ist in Figur 5 gezeigt. Der Randabschnitt 2 kann mittels der in Figur 1 gezeigten Perforierung im Bereich des Pfeiles P abgerissen werden. Der Randabschnitt 2, der an seiner Unterseite die Klebeschicht 4 aufweist, stellt wiederum ein Selbstklebeetikett dar, das an einem anderen Ort sicher befestigt werden kann.The state of the connection is shown in Figure 4. Self-adhesive label (11) with a self-adhesive outer material web (1) which has a separable edge section (2), and with means for preventing a permanent adhesive connection between the separable edge section (2) and its base after the label has been attached to an object, characterized in that the means to prevent a permanent adhesive connection of a smooth layer film (3) disposed on the adhesive layer (4) of the upper material web (1) in the region of the edge portion (2).

Self-adhesive label according to claim 1, characterized in that the smooth layer film (3) has a self-adhesive layer (5).

Self-adhesive label according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the smooth layer film (3) is transparent.

Self-adhesive label according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the smooth layer film (3) is a silicone film.

Self-adhesive label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the edge section (2) is divided by a perforation (6).

Self-adhesive label according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the edge section (2) has at least one grip tab (9, 10).

Self-adhesive label according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the edge section (2) is subdivided into at least two parts (2a, 2b) by means of a stamping (7).
