Abstract

The ski boot (St) front part is supported from underneath for cross-country skiing by a support mounting (1) in the form of a tread plate movable on a pivot axle (4). An adjustable tension piece with movable clamp (6) exerts clamping pressure on the ski boot and fixes it on the support mounting. For downhill skiing, a sole holder (2) attaches the ski boot front part to the ski (Sk) and incorporates components absorbing the upward and forward directed forces on the ski boot and fixed to the ski by means of a joint base (3). The tread plate side facing the ski boot sole (So) for cross-country skiing has a protuberance (5) fitting into a matching cavity (A) in the sole.

Description

The invention relates to a front sole holding device for a Ski binding for optional use in touring or downhill skiing.

A sole holding device of this type is known from DE 40 07 667 C1 known. In this known sole holding device, this is one end one on a clamping bracket belonging to the clamping device of the support bearing Folding lever held at the same time as a sole holder for the Downhill run trained, and the other end of this tension lever is used in a setting for the touring run to exert tension on the protruding sole edge. The tension lever therefore has a double function for the downhill run on the one hand and for the touring run on the other hand meet, and it is therefore a relatively complicated and therefore expensive Molded body. In addition, on the ski at a suitable distance from the swivel axis, around which the tensioning bracket also swivels with the tensioning lever Abutments are provided for the free end of the tension lever ensure the sole holder is correct during downhill skiing Takes swivel position. The for the known sole holding device required free work area thus extends over a relative long distance in the longitudinal direction of the ski equipped with it.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a front sole holding device of the type mentioned in such a way that they with simple and inexpensive to manufacture components and one compact design with only a small footprint on the ski allows one and only one function is assigned to each component.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a Training of the sole holding device, as specified in claim 1 is; advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the subclaims.

The inventive design of the sole holding device provides on the one hand, a functional separation of the support bearing and sole holder and, on the other hand, thanks to their articulation to one another or to the common bearing plate a compact and space-saving structure, being in addition, only simply designed components are required, since the different Functions are assigned to separate components.

For further explanation of the invention and its advantages, reference is made to the drawing, in which a preferred embodiment is illustrated; show in the drawing:
Fig. 1
a on a ski mounted front sole holding device according to the invention in a side view with the front part of a ski boot placed thereon in the position for touring and
Fig. 2
the sole holding device of Fig. 1 in a corresponding side view in the position for downhill skiing.

The front sole holding device shown in the drawing is mounted on a ski sk shown only in one section, and it serves to hold a ski boot St, also only partially shown, the has a sole So with an edge Ra protruding in the front toe area.

Supporting support for the St ski boot on the sole holding device shown a step plate 1 is in the position for touring, on which the St ski boot with the front area of its sole is placed is. This tread plate 1 is on the ski Sk to a transverse to it Longitudinal axis and pivot axis 4 running parallel to its surface pivotally mounted, which in turn by means of a bearing plate 3 as the common pad on the surface of the ski Sk at a distance from it is held.

In Fig. 1, the tread plate 1 is in its touring as a starting position shown assigned lower end position. For this first End position, the tread plate 1 can be put together during the touring run with the attached St ski boot to a limited extent around the pivot axis 4 upwards and after taking off the St ski boot, continue to one of the Swing downhill assigned second end position forward.

To hold the sole of the ski boot St on the step plate 1 serves a tensioning device, which in the example shown has a a pivot axis parallel to the pivot axis 4 articulated on the tread plate 1 Clamp 6 of approximate U-shape and one on the crossbar this clamp 6 foldable two-armed tensioner lever 7 having. In the touring position shown in FIG. 1, one end presses this tension lever 7 from above onto the protruding front edge Ra the sole So of the ski boot St towards the step plate 1, so that in turn from the tensioning bracket 6 against the underside of the sole of the ski boot St is pressed.

Instead of the U-shaped clamp 6 can also with the same effect an appropriately mounted tensioning cable as a carrier for the tensioning lever 7 can be provided, it being advantageous in both cases, the respective Clamping element adjustable in length to accommodate adjustment to different boot dimensions and in particular sole thicknesses enable.

The multi-joint connection between the tensioning lever 7 on the one hand and the tread plate 1, on the other hand, gives a resilience to the ski boot St, whose sole is so firm between the protruding from above on theirs Edge Ra pushing the lower end of the tension lever 7 on the one hand and the on the other hand clamped on the underside of the tread plate 1 is that a secure hold of the St ski boot on the Step plate 1 is also to be expected if So des between the sole Ski boots St and the tread plate 1 only a pure frictional connection is provided is.

This applies in particular if the sole So of the St facing top of the tread plate 1 an adhesion-increasing surface formation for example in the form of corrugation. Complete security however, offers the example shown in the drawing provided positive locking between the tread plate 1 and the sole So des Ski boots St, in which a provided on the top of the step plate Projection 5 during the touring run in the manner shown in FIG a corresponding recess A engages in the bottom the sole of the ski boot St is incorporated.

The version of the clamping device shown in the drawing with the about a horizontal pivot axis swivel bracket 6 and the on it stored tensioning lever 7 is only one, albeit preferred, option In its place, a tensioning device can also be provided, which the front end of the ski boot St with the protruding edge Ra grips from the front and when it closes in the manner of a folding lever lock exerts downward pressure on the St ski boot.

In extension of the tread plate 1 in Fig. 1 to the front can at the An angled stop can be provided on top, which is a correct position Placing the ski boot St on the step plate 1 is easier.

The position of the step plate 1 shown in FIG. 1 is touring assigned, in which the ski boot St together with the step plate 1 the pivot axis 4 can be pivoted upwards. The sole holder does not allow in conjunction with one in the drawing shown rear boot bracket also suitable for downhill skiing firm connection of the ski boot St with the ski sk. This is how 1 shows a sole holder 2 provided on the underside of the step plate 1, the after pivoting up the tread plate 1 about the pivot axis 4 into the vertical from its shown rest position into one then horizontally oriented working position and then the protruding edge Ra of the sole So des directly on the surface of the ski Sk overlap the ski boots St from above and in front and so the Ski boot tip on which Ski Sk can hold.

An analogous effect can also be achieved with a version of the sole holder in the form of a vertical from the bottom of the tread plate 1 achieve the right length approach. In both versions can be adjusted by attaching the sole holder to the Bottom of the step plate 1 the possibility of adaptation to ski boots can be created with different sole thickness.

There is still another possibility for the arrangement of the sole holder in it not on the tread plate 1 itself, but on the bearing plate 3 to attach, which then favors the common pad for that Support bearing designed in the form of the tread plate 1 and for the sole holder represents so that the support bearing and the sole holder at functional Separation are in turn closely adjacent.

With this further possibility, the training of the Sole holder in the form of a profile body in the manner of an L, which with the long leg of the L is hinged to the base plate of the pivot bearing and can be swiveled into a vertical position for the downhill run, in which the short leg of the L runs approximately horizontally and the protruding one Edge Ra of the sole So of the ski boot St overlaps from above and in front. The two legs of the L can be firmly connected to each other but it is also possible to fold the short L-leg on the to link the long L-leg.

Even with the last described arrangement of the sole holder without Direct connection to the step plate 1 can be adjusted for the effective height of the sole holder above the surface of the ski Sk are provided to adapt to ski boots with different st To allow sole thickness.

It is also an advantage for touring, especially one possibility To be provided for attaching additional parts to the sole holder. This can be done in the front area of the tread plate 1 in both Sides of the longitudinal axis of a recess are incorporated, the one Hooking a crampon along the pivot axis 4 allows.

In principle, the invention can be described as a front sole holding device on a ski binding that is in connection with a Ski boot which has a sole protruding in the front toe area, can be used either for touring or downhill skiing.

For this purpose, the sole holding device has a support bearing for touring for supporting the ski boot from below, which is preferred is designed in the form of a tread plate that is transverse to the ski its longitudinal axis and parallel to its surface pivot axis is pivotally mounted between two end positions. Also are an adjustable tensioning device for exercising a tension pressure on the ski boots placed on the step plate holding it on the step plate and a sole holder for downhill skiing provided that the protruding sole edge of the immediately on can overlap the ski boot from above and from the front and then the front end of the ski boot, with the pick up on it and holds forward forces on the ski.

They are used to achieve a compact construction simple components and their functional separation in such a way that each component is assigned one and only one function, the support bearing and the sole holder is arranged on a common base, wherein a preferred embodiment is that the sole holder immediately is hinged to the underside of the tread plate.
