Description

The present invention relates to a dowel device for injecting and retaining a treating product in a masonry wall, and more particularly the means allowing the attachment and sealing of said device.

Are already known, in particular from document EP-A-421 072, injection dowels which are force fitted into orifices made in the material to be treated, wood, concrete or other, to allow the injection under pressure of a treatment product, said dowels comprising an internal non-return device, such as a valve, for retaining said product.

These devices nevertheless have quite frequently leaks, the treatment product being able to pass between the pin and the wall of the orifice into which it is introduced.

Existing devices generally comprise over their entire length a series of regularly spaced circular flanges, with a diameter slightly greater than that of the introduction orifice to allow anchoring. However, when the plug is inserted into the orifice, the flanges deform and, due to their upper circumference, undulate at the periphery, which affects the sealing and the solidity of the anchoring.

On the other hand the flanges have a certain thickness and their edge is rounded so that the wall of the introduction orifice is tangent to said rounded in order to facilitate the attachment and sealing, however, depending on the diameter of the orifice, the folding angle of the flanges varies, so that the support is sometimes made at too sharp an angle, which affects the quality of the attachment.

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a device comprising in combination means which make it possible to ensure both good attachment of the injection pin in the material to be treated and good sealing.

The injection pin device object of the present invention, which is preferably made by plastic molding, comprises an elongated slightly frustoconical hollow body, widely flared at its rear end intended to receive the injection tool, and it is essentially characterized in that said elongated hollow body comprises over its entire length a series of flanges of particular profiles according to their position in the rear part, on the side of the flare, or in the front part.

According to the invention, the flanges of the rear part are perfectly circular and of a diameter greater than that of the orifice into which the device is to be introduced, with the exception of the end flange, which is a smaller diameter, barely greater than that of said orifice, in order to perfect the seal by avoiding that it is not too deformed during its introduction into said orifice.

Still in accordance with the invention, the flanges of the front part are non-circular, and either oblong or in the approximate shape of a cross with large branches, so as to avoid their undulation at the periphery when the dowel is clamped in the orifice .

In addition, one flange on two of said front part comprises at the edge of its front face at least two diametrically opposite beads of substantially hemiellipsoidal shape, so that when it is enclosed in the orifice of the wall to be treated and that it folds, because of its larger diameter than that of said orifice, said bead comes to bear on the wall at an angle more acute than that of traditional flanges, which ensures better anchoring.

According to a first embodiment of the device according to the invention, the flanges of the front part are alternately oblong in shape and in the shape of a cross with large branches, and each oblong flange comprises at its two ends a substantially semi-ellipsoidal bead.

According to a second embodiment of the device according to the invention, the flanges of the front part are all in the shape of a cross with large branches and one flange in two is provided at the edge with at least two, and preferably four beads of this type.

As has already been said, the beads which are provided on one of two of the flanges of the front part of the device according to the invention allow better contact with the wall of the orifice formed in the masonry, due of the shape and arrangement of said bead, which ensure contact between the wall and a rounded surface at an angle more acute than that of traditional collars.

The advantages and characteristics of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawing, which represents a non-limiting embodiment thereof.

In the attached drawing:
  • Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an injection pin device according to the invention.
  • 2 shows an elevational view with partial section of the same device.
  • Figure 3a shows a sectional view of a detail of the same device when it is enclosed in an orifice.
  • FIG. 3b represents the same view of an ankle device of the conventional type.

If one refers to FIGS. 1 and 2, it can be seen that an injection peg device according to the invention comprises an elongated hollow body 1 slightly frustoconical terminated at its rear end, intended to receive the injection tool, by a tapered flare 10.

The elongated hollow body 1 comprises at its rear part 11 a series of circular flanges 2 regularly spaced, with a diameter greater than that of the orifice into which the injection plug must be introduced, with the exception of the flange 20 closest to the flare 10, which is smaller in diameter than the others but nevertheless slightly greater than that of said orifice.

On its front part 12 the elongated hollow body 1 alternately comprises oblong flanges 4 and flanges 3 in the approximate shape of a cross, that is to say that they are circular and have notches 30 delimiting branches 31. Thus when the ankle according the invention is introduced into an orifice, the end 32 of each of the branches 31 of the flanges 3 is perfectly applied against the wall of this orifice, and does not undulate as is the case for the flanges of traditional ankles.

The oblong flanges 4 each have two branches 40, the end 41 of which is in an arc of a circle close to that of the end 32 of a branch 31 of the flanges 3.

Each branch 40 has on its front face 42 a bead 43 of approximately semi-ellipsoidal shape.

If we now refer to FIG. 3b, we can see that a traditional flange 5, when it is introduced into an orifice 6, bends at a certain angle Ó against the wall 60 of this orifice. When this angle exceeds a limit value, contact with the wall 60 is not made with the rounded end 50, which affects the quality of the anchoring.

If we refer to Figure 3a, we see that in the case of a flange 4 of the device according to the invention, due to the presence of the bead 43, the wall 60 is always in contact with said bead 43, even for an angle Ó 'greater than the angle Ó, which guarantees better anchoring.

It goes without saying that the present invention cannot be limited to the preceding description of one of its embodiments, capable of undergoing a certain number of modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.
