Description

The invention relates to a wall bar for showers or the like. The wall bar is arranged approximately perpendicular to the building wall and is received at the end regions by bracket-like holders which can be fastened to the building wall.
Wall bars of this type, such as US Pat. No. 3,837,013, are known and are used for storing and holding hand showers in shower cubicles and the like. The hand shower, which is supplied with a hose, is placed or attached to an adjustable shower holder that can be attached to the wall bar. In addition, it is known to provide a soap holder on the wall bar in addition to the shower holder. However, the soap dish or soap dish has relatively small dimensions and is only designed for low mechanical loads.

The invention has for its object to provide in the wall bar specified in the preamble of claim 1 an improved shelf for shower and bath utensils, which in particular has a relatively large storage space, is universally usable and one offers easy cleaning options.
This object is achieved in that a shelf is pivotally arranged on the lower bracket, which includes the bracket in the manner of an eye rest in a partial area and has a lock in at least one preferred pivot position.
Further refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 10.

With the measures proposed according to the invention, it is achieved in particular that the shelf can be used universally and can be subjected to a relatively high mechanical load-bearing capacity, since the shelf device is arranged in a hanging manner on the bracket of the wall rod which projects vertically from the building wall. Due to the pivotable arrangement, the proposed storage device is easy to clean, and in particular the wall surface covered by the storage device is also easily accessible for cleaning by pivoting the storage device. By locking in at least one swivel position, preferably in the use position, it can be ensured that unintentional swiveling is avoided.

The wall bar 1 shown in FIG. 1 is only shown in part and is received at its end regions in each case by a cylindrical holder 11. The wall bar 1 is arranged approximately perpendicular and parallel to the building wall 4. On the lower cylindrical holder 11, a shelf 2 with an eye bearing 21 is provided between the building wall 4 and the wall bar 1. In the eye bearing 21, a spring element 3 is arranged, which is axially strained by its spring force from the eye bearing 21 against the wall bar 1 and is non-rotatably connected to the eye bearing 21, so that the tray 2 with a certain stiffness from its hanging position as it is shown in Figure 1, is pivotable about the cylindrical outer surface of the bracket 11.

The tray 2 is made of plastic by injection molding and has in the eye bearing 21 different ribs for the mounting of the spring element 3 and the cylindrical outer surface of the holder 11, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 2 and 3. in the In the middle region of the eye bearing 21, an annular, essentially circumferential rib 22 is formed, against which the spring element 3 with leaf springs 34 rests and which forms a bearing for the cylindrical outer surface of the holder 11 with its inner, approximately circular edge. In order to ensure a relatively play-free mounting on the holder 11, the inner circular edge is interrupted by straight, tendon-like sections 221, as can be seen in particular from FIG. Following the rib 22, 4 guide ribs 23 are formed in the eye bearing 21 in the direction of the building wall parallel to the central axis of the cylindrical holder 11. The protruding length of the ribs 22, 23 corresponds approximately to the wall thickness of the spring element 3.
In the front region of the eye bearing 21, in which the spring element 3 is arranged, driver ribs 24 are formed approximately symmetrically, which engage in corresponding grooves 32 of the spring element 3 and produce the rotationally fixed connection between the spring element 3 and the eye bearing 21 in the plug-in position.
A basket-like storage surface 25 is formed on the end region of the storage 2 opposite the eye storage 21, on which hooks 26 are also provided for attaching objects.

The spring element 3, with its area carrying the leaf springs 34, is received by the eye bearing 21 in the inserted position. On the projecting end face of the spring element 3, a recess 31 is provided, which in the hanging position of the shelf 2 brings about a locking with the help of the wall rod 1. The recess 31 is designed in accordance with the cylindrical outer surface of the wall bar 1. This causes the spring element 3 to tilt in the eye bearing 21 the axially acting leaf springs 34 are avoided, spring struts 33 are also formed on the opposite end face to the recess 31 in the lower region. In the assembled state, the struts 23 grip through a groove 222 of the rib 22 and cause the spring element 3 to be axially locked in the lower region with the eye bearing 21, so that tilting of the spring element 3 by the force of the leaf springs 34 is largely excluded.

The storage device can be attached to the wall bar configuration by simply sliding the shelf 2 with the spring element 3 onto the cylindrical lateral surface of the lower bracket 11, whereupon the wall bar 1 with the upper bracket (not shown in the drawing) and the lower bracket 11 the building wall 4 is screwed. Then the shelf 2 is ready for use and can be used if necessary, e.g. Cleaning the building wall to be pivoted about the lower bracket 11. In the pivoting process, the spring element 3 is axially displaced corresponding to the recess 31 when deflected from the locking position, so that - with a certain stiffness - the tray can be pivoted about the holder 11. The axial spring force of the spring element 3 can be dimensioned such that the shelf 2 remains in this pivoting position by frictional engagement when deflected from the hanging position and thus also makes it easy to clean the building wall 4 located behind the shelf 2.
