- an embodiment is provided according to which an angled portion 12 with an undercut is formed on the hook 7 of the fastening and contact foot 3 on the outside facing away from its zone of engagement with the mounting rail leg.
- the abutment 11 on the detent spring strut 9 is a correspondingly shaped angle piece which protrudes into the bend 12 of the hook 7.
- an active surface 14 is now provided on the catch spring 9 on the hook 7 of the fastening and contact foot 3 on its side corresponding to the engagement zone with the mounting rail leg.
- a pocket 15 overlapping the bend 12 of the hook 7 is formed on the detent spring strut 9, the inner surface of which forms the active surface 14.
- the active surface 14 thus immediately meets the opposite inner surface at the angled end of the hook 7, so that the detent spring 9 then takes the hook 7 with it in the unlocking movement and both come free from the mounting rail leg.

Description
The invention relates to a protective conductor terminal with an insulating housing, a busbar arranged thereon and a fastening and contact foot connected to the busbar, which has hook and spring means for interacting with the mounting rail leg for mechanical and electrical connection to a mounting rail which acts as a protective busbar for further mechanical connection to the mounting rail on the insulating material housing, at least on one side a locking spring strut is provided which engages under the mounting rail leg.
In view of the otherwise possibly too high snap-on forces when such protective conductor terminals are snapped onto the mounting rails and in view of the simplest possible construction, the hook and spring means of the metallic fastening and contact foot of such protective conductor terminals cannot be designed so stiff that an untimely Snapping from the mounting rail with a particularly strong conductor path could be excluded. At least on one side, the snap-on must be possible without excessive effort. In order to counteract an untimely detent as a result of the conductor run, it is already known with such a protective conductor terminal, on the one hand, in addition to the hook of the fastening and contact foot, to also provide on the insulating housing a detent spring which engages under the mounting rail leg and which is intended to counteract an untimely detent (catalog of the company WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH, HK 1-3 / 2.88, 1.20 protective conductor terminals). Already because of the However, elastic properties of the insulating material cannot be excluded with the necessary certainty even with a very strong conductor path, in particular when the conductor path is directed upwards, that there is also an untimely snapping of the locking spring strut of the insulating material housing and thus of the protective conductor terminal as a whole from the mounting rail.
From DE-U-92 10 064 a protective conductor terminal of the generic type is known, in which, in addition to a hook element under the support rail leg of the metallic fastening and contact foot of the protective conductor terminal on its insulating material housing, a catch spring strut is also formed underneath the support rail leg, on the outside of the The hook element of the fastening and contact foot rests in such a way that the spring forces of the metal foot and the plastic foot add up in order to increase the resistance to untimely snapping. Blocking against scanning in the sense of making it impossible is not associated with this.
From EP-A-0 300 065 a mounting foot for attaching electrical / electronic components to a mounting rail is known, in which an additional locking strut is pivotally formed on the plastic mounting foot via a film hinge such that this locking strut in a blocking position behind that on the Carrier rail detent spring can be pivoted at this mounting foot. The locking strut formed over the film hinge represents an additional component, whereby there is the need to pivot the locking strut into the blocking position in a separate additional operation in order to ensure the blocking.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a protective conductor terminal of the generic type which does not snap off the mounting rail prematurely even under high mechanical loads, in particular with a heavy conductor.
The solution according to the invention results from the characterizing part of patent claim 1. The detent spring strut of the insulating material housing is thus given a double function. It is not only used for the mechanical connection of the protective conductor terminal to the corresponding mounting rail leg, but also for blocking the hook of the metal mounting and contact foot on the mounting rail, so that an untimely detachment is not possible even with a strong conductor. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the abutment is designed as a correspondingly shaped angle piece. The two undercut angle pieces block each other very quickly at the start of a scanning movement of the hook of the fastening and contact foot as a result of the conductor path. The untimely scanning movement as a result of the conductor path initially causes the hook of the fastening and contact foot to move outward. This movement is already blocked by the undercut elbows. The blockage is mutual, so that due to this blockage also the detent strut Isolierstoffgehäuses can only move in the sense of an untimely scanning due to the conductor.
In order to be able to intentionally snap the protective conductor terminal in this embodiment, according to a further preferred embodiment, an active surface is provided on the latching spring strut of the insulating material housing on the side of the engagement zone with the mounting rail leg that acts on the hook of the fastening and contact foot. Thus, if the locking spring strut of the insulating material housing carries out the unlocking movement directed outward from the mounting rail, for which purpose a handling zone is expediently provided on the outside of the locking spring strut, the active surface on the locking spring strut bumps into the inside of the hook of the fastening and contact foot, so that the locking spring strut over the active surface takes the hook to the outside and not only the catch spring strut itself, but also the hook of the fastening and contact foot are released from the mounting rail leg.

The protective conductor terminal has an insulating housing 1, of which only the foot area is shown for reasons of simplification. In the insulating material housing 1 there is a busbar 2 (see FIG. 2) which is firmly connected to a metallic fastening and contact foot 3, which in turn is used for the mechanical and electrical connection of a
Conductor connections (not shown) are located on the
In order to improve the security against an untimely snapping due to the conductor track, to support the mechanical latching of the fastening and contact foot 3 in the exemplary embodiment shown on the left, as seen in the drawing, the foot region of the insulating housing 1 is designed as a
In the exemplary embodiment shown, an embodiment is provided according to which an
An untimely scanning movement as a result of the upwardly directed conductor line would initially cause an outward displacement movement of the
In order to be able to snap off the protective conductor clamp, a
