Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rotating tool for tillage with a cylindrical casing, in the circumferential area of which at least one approximately axially extending stripper acts, the casing optionally being provided on its surface with axially spaced projections for local soil compaction, and the stripper on its the casing surface facing end with respect to a radial section through the rotating tool is profiled approximately like a spoon and runs out almost tangentially against the direction of rotation of the tool on the lateral surface.
- Such a tool is used for tillage in agriculture and can be composed, for example, of loosening coulters that break the soil by lifting it slightly, a tine rotor that grips the upper crumb, throws it against a baffle plate and thus crushes it, and a packer roller that is used for consolidation and Ground closure ensures.
- a packer roller that is used for consolidation and Ground closure ensures.
- This scraper which is designed as a flat plate that extends axially over the smooth cylindrical jacket areas of the packer roller, is generally attached so that the free part is inclined at an acute angle to the direction of rotation of the packer roller and thus with an edge of its end face on it is present. Due to the impinging soil, this edge of the scraper becomes after a short period of operation sanded down so that a surface running parallel to the roller jacket is created. The wear zone in the area of the edge is very small, so that the scraper wears out very quickly. The distance between the scraper and the packer roller also increases and it is no longer possible to completely remove the adhesive soil material.
- This object is achieved in that the direction of curvature of the scraper-shaped scraper is opposite to the curvature of the lateral surface, and that the concave side of the scoop-shaped scraper points downward.
- the advantages achieved by the invention are, on the one hand, that the incoming earth current is opposed to a wear zone which is arranged perpendicular to the earth current, therefore extends over the entire stripper thickness and is therefore larger than before.
- the spoon-like design which can be realized by an arch or angled shape, has the surprising effect that the incoming floor material is offered a receiving space that promotes the formation of an earth stocking. These earth trimmings provide effective wear protection for the scraper underneath.
- Another feature of the invention is that the scraper is pressed against the lateral surface by the reaction force of the incoming earth current and not, as in the known case, away from it.
- the spoon-like shape leads to an inherent increase in pressure, which is not the case with a flat design of the scraper.
- the flat design of the holder and mounting plate ensures uniform power transmission.
- the mounting plate is angled towards the spoon-like end against the spoon curvature. This prevents the soil particles detached from the packer roller from building up on the mounting plate.
- FIG. 1 shows the part of a tool for tillage consisting of a packer roller 1.
- the packer roller 1 is connected to the rest of the tool via fastening elements (not shown in more detail). It is generally pulled by a tractor without its own drive, which results in a clockwise rotation for FIG. 1.
- the packer roller 1 is composed of a circular cylindrical jacket 2, which is provided on its surface with axially spaced projections in the form of several toothed disks 3, which serve for local soil compaction. Between the toothed disks 3, at least one axially extending wiper 4 engages in the peripheral region of the jacket 2.
- This scraper 4 is connected via a scraper holder 5 and a scraper bar 6 to the packer roller bearing or to the rest of the tool in a manner not shown in more detail, the scraper being screwed to the scraper holder and the scraper holder to the scraper bar.
- the scraper 4 which is arranged behind and slightly above the lowest roller point in the direction of travel, rests on a screw-on surface 5a of the scraper holder 5, which is inclined slightly downward in the packer roller direction.
- the attachment between the scraper and the scraper holder is accomplished by screwing the screw-on surface 5a of the scraper holder 5 to a mounting plate 4a of the scraper 4 via elongated holes and screws 7.
- the one-piece scraper 4 has at its end facing the lateral surface a spoon-like partial body 4b which is related to a radial section and which, with a surface 4c (cf.
- the angular position of the surface 4c compared to the jacket 2 can be influenced on the one hand by the orientation of the scraper holder 5 and on the other hand by the shape of the spoon.
- the spoon-like end ends with an end face 4d which runs parallel to the tool axis and approximately perpendicular to the lateral surface and represents the wear zone of the present embodiment.
- FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the scraper, in which the spoon-like shape has been realized by a harmonious curvature. It is also possible instead to work with a single or multiple angled profile shape.
- FIG. 3 A corresponding exemplary embodiment is shown in FIG. 3, in which the scraper 14 is composed of a mounting plate 14a, a spoon-like metal body 14b, a surface 14c tapering tangentially to the packer roller and an end face 14d. In both cases, the spoon-like wiper profile is open at the bottom.
- the lumps of earth adhering to the jacket of the packer roller are driven against the stripper 4 (or 14), in particular the end face 4d (14d) thereof, and are directed towards the inside of the bucket.
- a movement away from the packer roller is impressed on them in accordance with the direction of the end face and the shape of the spoon, whereby they undergo detachment at the latest at the concave transition region between the spoon-like partial body 4b (14b) and the mounting plate 4a (14a) and fall down.
- the spoon-like area of the scraper fills with a relatively firmly adhering soil during operation.
- the wear zones of the scraper are no longer directly affected applied to the incoming earth current but shielded.
- the wipers according to the invention therefore manage with minimal wear. While in conventional wipers, after tilling 20 to 30 hectares, the wipers usually had to be replaced, no material removal is discernible when using the design according to the invention.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a rotating tool for tillage with a cylindrical casing, in the circumferential area of which at least one approximately axially extending stripper acts, the casing optionally being provided on its surface with axially spaced projections for local soil compaction, and the stripper on its the casing surface facing end with respect to a radial section through the rotating tool is profiled approximately like a spoon and runs out almost tangentially against the direction of rotation of the tool on the lateral surface.
Such a tool is used for tillage in agriculture and can be composed, for example, of loosening coulters that break the soil by lifting it slightly, a tine rotor that grips the upper crumb, throws it against a baffle plate and thus crushes it, and a packer roller that is used for consolidation and Ground closure ensures. In the course of this reconsolidation, which causes the non-driven packer roller due to its weight and its profile, it is inevitable that solidified soil material adheres to the cylindrical jacket of the packer roller and rotates with it. This has the consequence that gradually more and more soil material builds up, which eventually leads to malfunctions and deteriorates the quality of the floor surface.
It is already known that this can be avoided by a scraper resting on the packer roller and peeling off the adhesive soil material. In GB-A-2 124 063, a spoon-like profiled scraper is specified for this purpose, which runs out almost tangentially against the direction of rotation of the tool on the outer surface. However, this scraper is arranged below the jacket of the roller and is therefore not only abrasively impacted by the soil adhering to the jacket, but also by the earth that is guided under the tool. In addition, the stripper is curved parallel to the jacket of the roller, so that it can be easily pushed off the jacket and can then no longer fulfill its stripping function.
In addition, a stripper is known from US Pat. No. 4,348,134 which is directed against the direction of rotation of a packer roller. However, this wiper is not in contact with the roller casing and can therefore not fully fulfill the desired function.
The applicant has already used a scraper here for a packer roller. This scraper, which is designed as a flat plate that extends axially over the smooth cylindrical jacket areas of the packer roller, is generally attached so that the free part is inclined at an acute angle to the direction of rotation of the packer roller and thus with an edge of its end face on it is present. The more soil is now attached to the circumference of the packer roller, the greater the force with which the scraper is pushed outwards from the packer roller, which increases the distance between the packer roller and the scraper and increases the wear on the scraper. The force exerted on the scraper can finally grow so far that even the scraper bar to which the scraper is attached with the scraper holder is bent outwards.
After tests with different angular positions and materials of the scraper, which did not result in any significant improvement, the task now is to develop a scraper for a rotating tool for soil cultivation, in which the wear is considerably reduced and the disadvantageous formation of a gap with respect to the roller jacket is largely avoided becomes.
This object is achieved in that the direction of curvature of the scraper-shaped scraper is opposite to the curvature of the lateral surface, and that the concave side of the scoop-shaped scraper points downward.
The advantages achieved by the invention are, on the one hand, that the incoming earth current is opposed to a wear zone which is arranged perpendicular to the earth current, therefore extends over the entire stripper thickness and is therefore larger than before. On the other hand, the spoon-like design, which can be realized by an arch or angled shape, has the surprising effect that the incoming floor material is offered a receiving space that promotes the formation of an earth stocking. These earth trimmings provide effective wear protection for the scraper underneath.
Another feature of the invention is that the scraper is pressed against the lateral surface by the reaction force of the incoming earth current and not, as in the known case, away from it. In addition, the spoon-like shape leads to an inherent increase in pressure, which is not the case with a flat design of the scraper.
A flat mounting plate, with which the scraper is mounted on a holder, expediently adjoins the spoon-like end. On the one hand, this results in a simple fit, as a result of which the scraper can be easily attached, on the other hand, this ensures that all existing, identical tools can be retrofitted with the spoon-like scraper. Furthermore, the flat design of the holder and mounting plate ensures uniform power transmission.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mounting plate is angled towards the spoon-like end against the spoon curvature. This prevents the soil particles detached from the packer roller from building up on the mounting plate.

The packer roller 1 is connected to the rest of the tool via fastening elements (not shown in more detail). It is generally pulled by a tractor without its own drive, which results in a clockwise rotation for FIG. 1.
The packer roller 1 is composed of a circular
The scraper 4, which is arranged behind and slightly above the lowest roller point in the direction of travel, rests on a screw-on surface 5a of the scraper holder 5, which is inclined slightly downward in the packer roller direction.
The attachment between the scraper and the scraper holder is accomplished by screwing the screw-on surface 5a of the scraper holder 5 to a
Figure 2 shows an embodiment of the scraper, in which the spoon-like shape has been realized by a harmonious curvature. It is also possible instead to work with a single or multiple angled profile shape. A corresponding exemplary embodiment is shown in FIG. 3, in which the
During the operation of the packer roller, the lumps of earth adhering to the jacket of the packer roller are driven against the stripper 4 (or 14), in particular the
Surprisingly, the spoon-like area of the scraper fills with a relatively firmly adhering soil during operation. As a result, the wear zones of the scraper are no longer directly affected applied to the incoming earth current but shielded. The wipers according to the invention therefore manage with minimal wear. While in conventional wipers, after tilling 20 to 30 hectares, the wipers usually had to be replaced, no material removal is discernible when using the design according to the invention.
