Description

The invention relates to an electrical terminal block, in particular a terminal block with at least two or more protective conductor connections, consisting of an insulating body with a plurality of clamping body receptacles for the clamping bodies connected to soldering connection pins for connection to an electrical circuit board and a pluggable cross-connection rail for the electrical connection of the soldering connection pins Protective conductor connections.

With extensive electrical circuits with printed circuit boards there is often the problem that several circuit units (modules) have to be connected to the protective conductor. According to the relevant safety standards, however, looping the protective conductor through the circuit board is not permitted due to the short-circuit current carrying capacity of the printed circuit boards being too low. In practice, this helps to ensure that the protective conductor is fed in at one pole (terminal point) of the connection terminal of a printed circuit board and is continued in a star shape by further terminal points of the same terminal strip which are electrically connected to this pole. However, this requires an electrical cross-connection, independent of the printed circuit board, of the clamping bodies involved in the protective conductor measure. These clamping bodies do not have to lie directly next to one another in the terminal strip, but can, under certain circumstances, be separated by clamping bodies used as signal or voltage supply connections.

In order to solve the problem of electrical cross-connection, terminals have already been proposed at which the cross connection is made via the solder pins. For this purpose, the solder pins of the poles involved in the protective conductor measure are lengthened in such a way that, after the connecting terminal has been plugged onto the printed circuit board, a perforated cross-connection rail which is spaced apart from the printed circuit board and which only contacts the extended solder connection pins can be plugged on. The connection terminal strip is then soldered to the circuit board and the cross-connection rail in a single operation using a solder bath. In addition to the difficulty of assembly, there is also an increased space requirement below the circuit board.

From the German utility model 89 01 873.7, a connector has also already been proposed, in which the solder connections for the protective conductors are angled 90 ° from the solder connections for the current-carrying poles and led out of the insulating housing and can be connected independently of one another by a protective conductor cross bridge from the circuit board . This arrangement has the disadvantage that separate solder pins or other electrical connections must also be provided to connect the protective conductor to the printed circuit. In addition, this arrangement requires a relatively large amount of space, since the necessarily relatively wide protective conductor cross bridge plugged on has at least the same space requirement on the printed circuit board.

In addition, connecting terminals have also become known in which a continuous, one-piece clamping body is equipped with a plurality of socket clamping points, in which the clamping body itself produces the cross connection. However, this embodiment has the disadvantage that it is only immediate Adjacent terminal points can be used for the distribution of the protective conductor.

Common to all of these embodiments, however, is the disadvantage that the cross-connections of the protective conductor connections can only be produced ready for use in the factory, so that the user must state in advance exactly which, how many and at which point the interconnected protective conductor connections should be arranged. In production, this leads to a large number of special customer designs and thus high storage costs.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing an electrical terminal strip of the type mentioned in such a way that contacting at least two or more protective conductor connections of the terminal strip is possible with a simple structure and simple assembly and without any appreciably increased space requirement.

To solve this problem it is provided according to the invention that the connecting rail is a connecting comb which can be plugged on from below and which can optionally be removed individually and which comprises slotted tines which include soldering pins under clamping contact.

The inventive design, it is not only possible to selectively leave some of the solder pins without contact with the connecting rail, so that the corresponding terminal points can be used differently. The simple plugging in from below makes it possible - at least for terminals whose insulating housing is not provided with a base - that the consumer can either plug the connecting rail with a handle, using a Pincers also cut off any tines and can thus remove individual clamping points from the connection.

The additional space requirement is minimal, since the insulating housing protrudes slightly downward over the clamping body, so that there is enough space to accommodate the flat connecting comb. The advantage here is that in the electrical terminal strips already on the market there are also corresponding recesses in the rear wall of the insulating body, into which the comb webs can be recessed so that the overall height of the terminal strip remains unchanged after the connecting comb has been plugged on.

The tines can be angled at an angle of ≧ 90 ° with respect to the ridge back plane, so that - preferably the 90 ° bend - the connecting ridge back almost does not protrude beyond the rear wall of the terminal block and therefore practically no lateral space requirement for the Connection comb according to the invention is given.

If the user requires a terminal strip with a cross connection, but with an insulating housing that is also closed from below, this is also possible without great effort, but the customer's advantage of assembly is then lost. Before the final assembly, the cross connection is plugged in at the factory in accordance with the customer's request and only then is the base plate snapped on and / or welded on. There is no storage requirement, since the "cross-connection" operation can be inserted into the assembly process without difficulty according to the customer's specifications.

The electrical terminal block shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 comprises an insulating housing 1 with a plurality of clamping body receptacles 2 for the clamping body 3, which in the exemplary embodiment shown is designed as a pull sleeve with a threaded bore 4 for a clamping screw 5, and with one in the terminal space 6 Introduction of the electrical conductor arranged, designed as a bracket body conductor protection element 7, which simultaneously forms the solder pin 8 for connection to an electrical circuit board. The back of the insulating body 1 of the terminal block, which can be seen on the left in FIG. 1, is provided in the lower region with recesses 9 which accommodate the webs 19 of the slotted comb teeth 11, so that the connecting comb 10 with the slotted tines can be attached from below to the solder pins 8 up to the stop and completely disappear in the free receiving space of the insulating housing. In this way, the solder pins 8 are connected to one another independently of the printed circuit without changing the overall height of the terminal strip by plugging on the connecting comb 10 and, if appropriate, hindering the application of an insulating base plate 18. Corresponding to the essentially square cross-sectional shape of the solder connection pins 8, the slots 12 of the prongs are provided with a profiled recess 13 which, on the one hand, receives the pin in such a way that a longitudinal displacement to an appreciable extent is no longer possible, while at the same time through indentations 14 for a sufficient electrical contact Clamping pressure is taken care of. The tines 11 are angled at 90 ° relative to the comb back 15, so that the comb back can lay flat against the back 17 of the insulating body and thus there is no increased space requirement to the side.

The embodiment of FIG. 2 differs from that of FIGS. 1 and 3 only in that the insulating body 1 is provided on the underside with a preferably snap-on bottom 18, so that it may be necessary to attach the connecting comb at the factory, while in the case of the arrangement according to FIGS. 1 and 3, the connecting comb can optionally be plugged on by the user himself, in which case he can then also selectively separate individual tines 11 so that the corresponding clamping points can be used differently. In Fig. 3, this is indicated by the third tine from the right, which is indicated at this point in dash-dotted lines in its original position.
